Hi Shelli! I am new on here also I found this site this week and it has lots of great info and verrrry kind lap banders who are willing to share their stories. I peeked at your profile and see that we are the same age at 35 years young, I am 99.9% sure that this is the right decision for me. I have been up and down the scale so many times, I am ready for a life change I have 3 months left of nutritionist appointments (as required by my insurance). I am hoping to have my surgery by the end of the year... I would love to hear how your journey goes. Keep in touch! Sabrina

Thanks for the encouraging words! I saw my nutritionist yesterday and she has also reminded me that this is MY JOURNEY! I have two great kids that are my main motivation for wanting to lose this extra weight and live a looooong healthy life! Thanks again! -

I have lost weight in the past through diet and excercise, so they know I can do it on my own. Of course it has all come back, plus some, over and over again... They do not understand that my decision to get lap band is not a 'magic cure', but rather a weight loss tool that will help me keep on track.
