  1. I remember when I first hit 199... the feeling is so good!

And whats best is that it can only get better! It feels good to try on new clothes and it actually fits! I can actually wear a size 34 pants now. Its a little tight but I haven't been able to fit a size 34 for ages

I hope you don't mind but I started a new thread with your message in the Support section. This is a very important message that you have and I want it not to be lost in this thread about meat. You'll get a lot more feedback there, I think.

Your doing a great job at moderating Alexandra . I remember you started before you was banded and I think you have really grown into the job. You always give great advice about insurance issues and are courteous towards the other members ... Kudos!

  3. Hi Bambam. dont feel discouraged. At least try getting another fill, sometimes it takes 4 or 5 fills before you start feeling the restriction.

The band isn't a miracle cure, its a tool for us to use to loose weight.

    Wish you all the best!

  4. I totally agree with all that is said here. I also wanted to say that I now don't care anymore what "they" say about my weight..

"they" , being my mom and others that used to say I was fat when I was only 155 lbs. I am doing this for myself and most importantly my health. I really don't care what others think now anymore

  5. Hiya, I just wanted to post a chart of my weightloss progress. I've been banded for about 6 months now and I notice a pattern developing in my weightloss. It's a loss of a couple of pounds in a few days time followed by a plateau. Sometimes they last 2 + weeks. I guess what I am trying to say is that when you are on a plateau , eventually you will break it and continue loosing!!

  6. I also found out about the lapband after researching about the bypass on the internet. Since I dont have any insurance at all , because I am self employed, I was trying to find a cheap price for the bypass procedure.

But all I got was sticker shock lols.... Then I found a website that was advertising the lapband procedure. I called up and within 2 weeks I was banded :) (ofcourse I did more research on the matter beforehand)

    The rest is history...

  7. A blog is just a web log , here is the definition of it : A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in cronological order with the most recent additions featured most prominantly.
