Err so frustrating told to stop loosing

Tell me what your diet menu that helped you to lose your weight so fast. Starting tonight I am joining weight watchers because I have to lose 10 lbs. I don't know if my surgeon will say anything if I lose the weight real fast or not.

All I want is my WLS UGGGGGH!!!

Oh that would be scary, you can do just lose another 10lbs and then you wont have to worry about gaining the weight back. lol Easier said then done, I know. I have not even started to lose because I go to Weight Watchers tonight, so I will weight in tonight and then let the games begin. I'm going to see how quickly I can lose those darn 10 lbs, hopefully before Christmas. lol I was even thinking about going on pre-pre op diet, just to lose that 10 lbs quickly, but I'm sure they would figure it out. lol Well good luck, and remember WE CAN DO IT!!! Keep me posted:thumbup1:

    Hmm so I or shouldn't I

I say go to the surgeon you want as long as he is covered by your insurance. He would not feel guilty if he had to deny you for some reason. Plus this is your body, not his you do what want, and don't think twice about it.
  6. I went to my support group again tonight and still no sleevers. I was so disappointed, but the meeting went actually okay. Maybe next month. lol Thank goodness I have all of you.
  7. Ok so I was trying to think of things I would need for after my surgery, and decided a blender. I have been looking at the Magic Bullet. Please let me know if you used a Magic Bullet, and if it is worth the money. I have a big glass blender now, but can't see me washing that thing a few times a day, it is a pain in the butt to clean. I would appreciate some insight on what type of blender everyone uses. Thanks

    Hi to all!

Welcome Lizajane2000, We are happy to have you aboard. I'm glad you have your husband's support, and the other people well they may just need time to let your decision sink in, but the main thing is what you want. People get scared when you tell them about the surgery thinking it is real dangerous, but I guess they do not realize being overweight is dangerous itself. I have not had my surgery yet, but hopefully in the next 3 to 4 months. I wish you luck as you begin your journey. This is a great place to learn about the sleeve. Everyone on here is very friendly, and whenever you have a questions I can pretty much guarantee someone will be able to help you. Good luck, keep us posted.

    Magic Bullet

I never heard about the Ninja Master Prep Pro! I will have to look into. Thanks:thumbup1:

    Magic Bullet

Thank you everyone for advise. Like I said my mom bought me this real nice blender, but the container is glass, and it is really to heavy for me to pick up and wash. I have been watching the infomericals on the magic bullet, so I will start saving my pennies for it. lol

All I want is my WLS UGGGGGH!!!

Yes, it will happen soon for both of us, we just have to stay strong, and keep up our spirits up. I just think this gives me more time to read the post on here and learn more about before and after the sleeve. What things to do, and not to do. I just have to lose 10 pounds. So now I guess it is up to me. I'm starting Weight Watchers on Tuesday. I CAN DO IT, YES I CAN. Let me know when you get your date, we will celebrate. lol
  12. Thanks I'm still going to have it I just have to go through a VA hospital. The only thing I have to do that this VA requires, and my surgeon did not was to lose 10 pounds on a supervised diet like weight watchers. So I'm joining next week, and was thinking about doing a preop diet so I can lose my ten pounds quickly. lol THanks for the encouragement, and I have to keep my faith otherwise I would not of made it this far. I wish I could just self pay but being a single mother that lives from pay day to pay day it is out of the question. It will happen I just don't know when, and it is not going to be fast enough for me.

All I want is my WLS UGGGGGH!!!

I totally understand, I have been going through the process since last October, and when I finally get scheduled which was going to be August 24, the VA decides to deny my this week. So I had to call today and cancel my surgery, talking about the hardest thing I had to do. Now I'm looking at least another two to three months if not longer. Stay strong you are so close.
  14. I went the support group in my city several months ago, as it was a requirement from my surgeon. It was a nice little meeting, but they all had the bypass, I was the only one that is going to have the sleeve, it has been a few months since I last went so, I'm going to try again and see if maybe there are any sleevers in there yet. I like talking with the girls, there was only 5 of us there at that meeting, and we just went around and told about our self, if they were post op they explained how they were doing how much they lost etc.

    August Sleeves!!

Well I have to remove my name off the August list for surgeries, I'm back to the I don't know when section. I will be thinking about all of you, and wishing you all the best. I should of been there if the people at my VA were not such morons. But at least it is still in my future. Let me know how everything went so I know what to look forward to.

    Week 1 - weigh-in

That is great cknorte, keep up the good work. I'm so proud of you. I just found out I have to lose 10 pounds on a supervised diet before my surger so I'm joining weight watchers next week. I hope those 10 pounds come off fast, but to me now ten pounds seems like a 100. lol
  17. lamsunshine

    Yahoo...the sleeve is awesome!

I love hearing everyone's sucess stories, it makes me want to scream I WANT MY SLEEVE NOW!!!!!! It seems like it maybe forever before I can have my sleeve and posting my own sucess stories. I'm so happy for you longhorn. Keep up the good work, and you will reach the normal level. You can DO IT!!!!!!!

    I cried tonight ...

That is Great Mini-me. I love hearing stories like that it makes me get so excited to have my sleeve. I can not imagine me in a size 8 though. I would be appy with a size 16 right now. lol. You enjoy it you worked hard for it.
  19. lol I can see you leaning over and then letting it all out. That was great. I wish I could of done that with a few of the nurses I had when I gave birth to my daughter. I'm glad you are okay.
  20. So, I called the VA about my surgery, and making sure the extension on my consult for approval for my surgery was extended, and guess what they denied it. They have approved it twice now, and I have been working on this since last October. So if I was able to have surgery next week it would be approved, but because my surgery is after that, the next referal was denied. I want to scream. The other new is they will allow me to have bariatric surgery at a VA facility in West Virginia, which is 6 hours away, but I don't know if they even do the Sleeve. I have alot of questions, now so for you who get you surgery done in Mexico, how do you do the follow up's and what if there is a complication? Pray they do the sleeve, one thing hey told is I don't have to go through all the paperwork again, they are going to accept the paper work from my current surgeon, but oh my goodness. Please everyone pray, I called Hunington to see if they do the sleeve but no one has returned my call. So bye, bye August 24th, and hello I don't know when. I knew it was to good to be true. :biggrin0::svengo:

    Today is the day!!!

Good luck, I wish you the best.
  22. Kathy, I'm so glad everything went well. How do you do post op doctor visits when you have your surgery in Mexico? Take care and keep us posted.

    Fixing to go Postal

Great News!! Hunington does the sleeve. I talked to a nurse there this morning, and she made me feel alot better. So I have started the ball rolling. She said I could have it before September but I'm thinking October will be more realistic. Keep praying for me, at least it is still in my future.

I'm so upset! Can't get my sleeve!

It is called fee based, and if I need to be seen for something for instance, I have Narcolepsy, and no Docs at the VA treat Narcolepsy, so they fee based me to a civilian doc, and I even got to choose the doctor, as long as the doctor is on the approved list. Then one time they wanted me to be seen for my sinus, and sent me to a fee based doctor for that. As far as being approved for the sleeve I am approved and my surgery date is August 24th, if for some reason the VA denies me, but they have already approved me, I will go postal. lol not really, I'm sure if they were going to deny it they would of a month ago, when my surgeon gave me my final approval, but time will tell. I'm going to call my fee based rep now, and make sure all is ok.
