I agree with the above. And you could definitely weigh 135! I've got a big frame with a lot of muscle and I'm at 139 lbs right now - and I'm 3 inches taller than you.
Yea, but my starting weight was 283. But you look great! Thanks

I like to think of my goal weight as elastic. If I feel good at a higher weight, that's okay. If I keep losing without a lot of effort and still feel good, that's okay too. I had the surgery to be better medically, to be more active, and to feel good about myself. It's not a number in my head that's set in concrete. Can you do something similar?
That sounds good to me! Thanks

I HAVE BE TOLD THAT WHEN YOU WORK OUT ALOT AND BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT EATING AS MUCH food, YOUR BODY THINKS ITS STARVING AND HOLDS ON TO THE WEIGHT, IS THIS TRUE?
-
I HAD MY FIRST CASE OF DIAREHEA TODAY AFTER HORRIBLE EATING. I DIDNT OVEREAT BUT MY MIND WANTED TO EAT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT! I JUST FEEL BAD ABOUT IT.

I first set me goal weight at 165, because I felt that would be a good weight for me. Then I went down to 150. But me BMI for my height says I should weigh about 135 and I cannot not see myself ever being that small. I am big framed and 5'2", what do you think?

Hello Ladies. I've read your posts about going natural and I'm very curious. My hair is currently braided and I haven't had a perm in about four months. Without the braids my hair is shoulder length but I have no problems cutting it short. I need some guidance. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
I have locks and I am 3 months post op and have lost no hair! But I don't have to brush or comb it therefore it has no extra stress on it. Natural is the best and has worked with the sleeve this far! Thank God!

@sleeve me plz: I found alot of my information on www.longhaircareforum.com. [You don't have to join you can LURK" until you make a decision, just can't post until you join!] Those ladies on there are AWESOME!!! I grew my hair out for 6 months, I could not take it any more!!! I recruited Ladyvelvet [my Sister] to come over and give me my big chop!!! Honey was she reluctant!!! Anywho . . . long story short I have never regretted a single moment of being natural. If your hair is shoulder length then it will not be a big adjustment for you!! You will be surprised at how strong your natural hair is cause I know I was!! Good luck on your healthy hair journey!!
BTW: you can look at my fotki to see my hair progression: http://public.fotki.com/2sweetnsugarland/
I have locks and I am 3 months post op and have lost no hair, but its probably because I do not brush or comb my hair. So right now natural seems the best way not to loose hair.

INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE, THANK YOU

Go to Walmart and they have calcium citrate in chocolate and vanilla chews, they are good for the sweet tooth and you won't even realize you are taking them 3x a day and you are covered. Just make sure you don't take them within two hours of your Iron, if you are on iron.

Thanks to everyone for the support! And this too shall pass.

Wish I had your problem, but I will have my 3 month weigh in on 4/28 so I am going to push the Protein until that day about 10 days from now, bec I eat my share of carbs and I exericise 5 days a week and still down 52lb since being sleeved 1/26/11. But I feel my skin is doing really well, but my boobs are disappearing and I am not happy about that!

People keep telling me how great I look! How good I am doing, but when I look at myself sometimes( not all the time). I still see the old me and I always feel I am loosing to slow! I was sleeved Jan 26, 2011. When I have shared my surgury with some they say, you look great and that I don't look like a WL surgery person and that I must be doing something right. I guess I just want to make sure I keep loosing and to be able to accept my new self!

You are doing great! Keep up the good work!

Some folks can't handle other peoples positive moments. Now hopefully that is not the case, because there is still healthy food on the menus. But your real friends will be there thru thick and thin!

I had one of those days today, I ate two Cookies and I its my first sweet since sleeved in January. Although it was good, I just don't want to pick up old habits! I don't feel alot of guilt just hope my stomach doesn't kill me tonight. But it may do my body a good shake, because I never know if I am eating enough compared to my exericise. Tomorrow is a new day!

Lets Go! You can do it! I have 30lbs to go before I hit wonderland! Can't wait! Congratulations!
-
Congrats! I am down 53lbs but surely didn't loose it that fast! How did u do it so fast? I am also only 5'2" so can't help you on the question.

Your news is SOOOOO encouraging! I am 4 weeks out today and only down 35lbs (15 of which was during my 2 week pre-op). Was your weight loss slow at first?
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SUCCESS!
Well mine includes my pre-op too and my weight loss seems to be slow to me also, but hopefully the weight just keeps coming off and I meet my long term goal. I have never been a person who keeps jumping on the scale but from 6-8 weeks only lost like 4 lbs, but we just have to keep on keeping on! Thanks
-
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I am 11 weeks out and bought my first whole outfit in the "Regular" size department this weekend. I kept finding myself moving towards the plus sized clothes out of habit. I am so excited for all of us. I went to look for a 16 and had to realize that was not considered a plus size! lol I am down from a size 24 to a 16!
Denise B.
Wow that is so great! What does a typical day look like for you as far as eating? Do you mix it up and do you exericise? I also did the same thing as far as going to plus size area, lol!

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME AFTER BEING 2 MONTHS POST OP THAT I ATE SOMETHING THAT WASN'T RIGHT! I AM TRYING NOT TO BEAT MYSELF UP BUT CAN'T HELP THAT IT TASTE GOOD AND I REFUSE TO GO BACK TO OLD HABITS! WELL AT LEAST I DIDN'T EAT THE chicken AND JUST PINCED OFF SOME OF THE SKIN.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR GOAL WEIGHT IS HIGHER THAN WHAT MY BMI SAYS?
