I was only losing strands here and there at about 3 months out, and now, 6 months out, I'm losing it like crazy. However, upping my Protein has helped. I don't think I was getting enough.

And My next goal is not gonna be any joke! haha.
-
So, It's been forever since I checked in- because I've been pretty sad. I started the challenge at 194, bounced down to 189, then back up to 191 and hit a 5 week stall (at 5 months post op, which I hear is normal?) . I tried everything to shake up my routine and NOTHING helped. The scale JUST moved back down to 189 again. Anyway, needless to say I am not going to make my goal of 179, however, I am hoping for 187-185 for my halloween goal. Hopefully no more stalls between now and christmas cause I have some major catching up to do! LOL
-
So, my weight loss is SO slow lately... I was at 194 at the start of this, then I went down to 189, now I bounced to 191, but I'm sure it'll go back in a couple days.. I don't think I'll make my Halloween goal but I think I'll be at least 185.. I'd be okay with that. Slowly but surely the weight is coming off. I HAVE however, bumped up the workouts so we'll see. Its still the very beginning of october.

I lost 2 lbs at my weekly weigh-in (wednesday) and 2 since, hopefully those two extra2 stay off and dont teeter totter! It always makes me nervous.
-
Hmmm, yeah. I dunno. I should have asked my surgeon and now I don't see him again till Jan. Hopefully by then I'll be very close, if not there.

So, I missed my goal by 8 lbs.. I wasnt expecting the LONG stall that I hit.. :/ That's okay though. I'm just bummed I only lost 13 lbs in 2 months! Ug, stinkin stalls.
-
Yeah same here, I keep bouncing up and down. Like, tuesday I was 193, today I'm 195, and I'm sure that'll go away and I'll be back down to 193 again.. Hmph. My weight loss has definitely slowed down the past 2 months... I think my honeymoon stage is almost over..
-
I didn't meet my labor day goal, by 9 lbs (I wasn't expecting the huge stall that I got!) but i'm going to go ahead and post what my goal is this time.

I think I can do that one...

According to that chart my projected weight loss for a year is 120-106 lbs.. Hmm. Not bad..
-
Wow, thanks guys. Both answers were very helpful!

So, I'm trying to decide what my ultimate goal should be- I can't seem to come to any conclusion. On my ticker it says 130, but honestly I think I'd be ok with 150, maybe even 170. I've never even been as small as I am right now. I'm 5'3 and 19 years old- any ideas for a goal? I had surgery april 6th, and have recently had a slowing weight loss- averaging 1.5 lbs a week, opposed to the 2.5 it was.. What I've just been doing is setting small goals and figuring out how I feel when I get to them. For example, my next small goal is 180- 14 lbs away. But I don't see myself being satisfied there. Hmmm. What did your surgeon give you for your goal weight?
-
Okay, so, I've had quite a few stalls since this one started.. but here's my stats

Goal-185
lbs to goal- 9.
So, I'm not gonna lose 9 lbs in the next week and a half but, I've still lost 12 lbs in less than 2 months.. which is lower than my average 10 lbs a month, but thats okay.

Hmm, I average at 10 lbs a month, so I might get REALLY close. we will have to see.
-
Well, I'm kind of bummed because on the 6th when i first posted i was 206, and 2 weeks later (today) im 204. I don't know if I"m gonna make it to my goal of 185! I still have 19 lbs till that goal and only 7 weeks- hopefully I"ll at least get into the 180's. I've hit a tad bit of a stall, but with any luck i'll get to 185.. hmmm!
-
Well, I missed 4th of july by 2 lbs-but I lost 23 lbs for the last goal. So, I'm setting a similar goal this time.

I KNOW i can do this. Even when I slow down I generally lose about 10 lbs a month. Plus, I'm going to up my workouts for the next 2 months. I can't even imagine being under 200 lbs and to think that it could be me in the next 2-3 weeks.. INTENSE. So excited though.

I can't believe I was 2 lbs away! Ah, so close, yet so far. The past couple of weeks I've had smaller numbers (2 lbs, then 1 lb) instead of my usual 2.5-3 lbs. THat's okay though- I lost 23 lbs and am only 6 lbs away from ONEderland! I'll be there by labor day!
-
Wow, I cant believe some of the stories you guys are posting that have occured- everything from the OB/GYN and the guy telling you to lose 30 lbs- goodness!
I can't believe people sometimes, I really can't. I mean, I'm thinking of all the different guys with such different body types and I've never discriminated. I've dated em board thin, and then chunky monkeys. LOL. It never mattered to me- but to the world, I suppose, it's a different story.
I remember specifically something that happened a couple weeks ago-- someone said to me
"you're absolutely perfect.. except your weight. And you're working on that". Uhm, are you kidding me? Yes, it was meant to be another nice comment but goodness.. I suppose some people cannot think outside of the boxes society places them in, yes?
As I said before, I'm glad I wont have to deal with this much longer. I know, however, when I am smaller- those types of compliments and comments will never leave my lips.
-
Okay, hearing that 10 a month is good relieves me. And yes, I know. its such a common compliment. Keeping in mind that they meant well, and letting it go- I should just be proud of my loss rather than worried about anyone else.
-
So, anyone else heard the compliment "Oh, you're so pretty- even though you're bigger" ? I mean COME ON! 61 lbs gone and those types of bittersweet comments are still being made. I mean, of course- the people that say them ALWAYS mean well, i mean, love them to death.. but it's just something that's hard to hear- since my weight has always been a huge insecurity. I know I'm not the only one that's ever heard something like this right? Anyway, I guess I should be more thankful about it. After all, this compliment wont be a problem for too much longer.
Anyway, my question is- I've generally been losing anywhere from 2-4 lbs a week, averaging about 10-12 a month. I'm 10 weeks post op, and the rest I lost before surgery. Is this about on schedule? I feel like other people are losing quicker, but maybe I just feel as if I'm going so slow because I want it all off...?
-
I vote labor day as well-
And here's my check-in..
I started this challenge at 229
My current weight is 211
my goal is 204
7 lbs to goal..
i've got about 2 1/2 weeks. I'll probably get pretty close, since im losing anywhere from 2-4 a week, but im not sure ill hitt it. hmm
-
I'm really nervous because I'll be out of town from the 21st of june-mid july. Hopefully I can lose most, if not all of this before I leave. Plus an extra couple!
SW-229
CW-215
Goal-204
lbs to go-11
I've already lost 14 lbs in the past month-ish..
I might have to change my goal, I'm doing pretty good actually. Ultimately, I'd like to lose 15 more pounds before july 4th.. hmm. Might have to change my goal!
-
SW-229
CW-218
Goal-204
lbs to go-14
So I've lost 11 lbs, and we've still got another month, but this means I have about 14 left.. Hopefully I'll get pretty close- I've been averaging 2 lbs a week!
-
My goals are as follows-
250 lbs
225 lbs
222 lbs (50 lbs lost)
4th of July- 204
Then, 199! (ONEDERLAND FEELS SO CLOSE! Haha. )
Then, 172(100 lbs lost)
next, 166 (So I can be Overweight, not obese...)
After that, 150
Next- 138 (So I can be normal weight, not overweight)
and my ultimate goal- 130.

Okay, it's time I get realistic. My weight loss has slowed down. Last challenge I only lost about 6 lbs in 2 months.. hit a 5 week stall though. Anyway, needless to say my goal for this next one is a little more... accurate. I'm getting smaller so weight loss is slower...right?
SW- 188 CW 188 GW 178 Lbs to goal - 10.
I can do it.![:)](https://s.bariatricpal.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png)
