  1. Wow I couldn't eat meat until I was at least 6 weeks post op. At 4 weeks I could probably only eat 1 meatball at that anyway. Maybe you need to sick to the soft foods for a while (?) I would ask my doctor...best wishes.
  2. Hi there!!! 2012 is my year to finally exercise! I'm doing this ultimately for my health! But I'm excited to see if it will help my main problem areas (thighs-inner and outer and stomach). I have lots of loose skin, and saggy back thighs and cellulite on my thighs. OK so I was wondering if there is anyone out there in their 40's who was able to accomplish such a feat???? Would you happen to have before and after pictures you don't mind sharing??? Just using exercise, nothing else. I am going to finally take some before pics (for myself) showing the skin front, back (eeewww) and side and compare them next January 2013. I'm super excited! Thanks y'all!!!
  3. You look BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! You are doing amazing girlie! Keep up the great work!
  4. YOU GO BECCA!!!! I'm planning on joining a new gym in my area this week yayyy! And I was planning on taking before and after pics for my problem skin areas lol! I'm praying it helps, we shall seeeeee!

  8. I think I started Options January 2010 at 218 and left in April 2010 at 216...My surgeon called me in June 2010 and said try to lose and DO NOT GAIN...That haunted me...I think I actually gained at got to 221 but finally pulled myself together and got down to 204 by my surgery date August 27, 2010. I used the Weight Watcher method. If I did it, YOU CAN DO IT ...Best wishes to you!

  15. Thank you all so much! I am feeling so much better! I know with God all things are possible, I'm not sure what He has in store for me, but I am willing and will continue to praise Him through this storm and will come out stronger than before...love you all. This song totally ministered to me today:
  16. Thank you ALL SOOOO MUCH for being here for me! This has been a tough 2 days...I pray I can turn it around and make something positive out of this some how...some way. God will give me the strength I need, as He always does, Nothing can separate me from the love of God. Love you guys!
  17. Thanks coops! Well I started on baby asprin today and just got my lab results all normal and HDL is good...LDL calulated is 116 which is OK not optimal but OK. I pray the exercise will increase my HDL to help fight the LDL. I just got the news yesterday and after researching I was feeling bad today. I've gotta shake this off of me and start working towards fighting this fight. HUGS and thanks again!!!!
  18. THANK YOU! I guess this my thorn (my health issues one after another), as Paul speaks of. I will continue to TRUST GOD with my life and continue to let Him fight my battles...I'm just having a bad day, feeling sorry for myself lol...I still can't talk about it right now without crying. I know I have to STAND STILL and know that HE IS GOD and NO MATTER WHAT happens continue to TRUST. Love you sister, and thanks again.
  19. Yeah I think that's it. I fought to drop this weight to get healthy and BAM! hit with this news and now will have to fight again ugh...I'm tired of fighting. I have to knock that out of my mind and wipe the tears away and just get up and fight some more. Maybe I meant to help someone else out and show them it can be done, I don't know...I know with God's help I will beat this, just having a down moment. Thank you!
  20. so happy for you!!! congrats!
  21. I need some pick me up peeps! I feel sooooo bummed! I was at the doctors yesterday for some other issues and discussed a chest x ray result and found out that I have atherosclerosis. I know it's from being obese for over a decade and not eating right and not exercising. OBESITY KILLS! Even the lite weights as I've been told I was...I never thought I was. I never had high blood pressure, diabetes, but I did however have elevated cholesterol levels, but because my good levels were always high they would always say that I was fine (ugh). So alas, with genetics, obesity and lack of exercise it's come to this (SIGH) Well THANK GOD I'm no longer obese,I have a normal BMI. I had already determined this was the year of exercise for me And if this doesn't kick my butt off the couch I don't know what else will!!! I am 44 yrs old and if I had not lost this weight I don't know how long I would have lasted. I am SOOOO THANKFUL to God for allowing me to have the sleeve which saved my life!!!!!
