Lost 29.8 lbs & nobody can tell :(
I was at a family get together after I lost 40 lbs. Nobody said a thing even though they knew about my surgery. Later I asked my dad if he noticed my weight loss. He said I looked great but he didn't want to say anything because he was afraid he would embarrass me. I think people might be doing the same to you.

need suggestions.....
I like Hardtimes beef jerky. Satisfies my salt craving with a protein boost.

Did your tastes change after surgery?
I cant stand the taste of my protein drink now. It used to taste like chocolate milk. Now it tastes like a liquid vitamin.

As you lose weight what are you looking forward to??
I'm looking forward to: Sitting in a lawn chair without worrying it will break Fitting into an airplane seat--I want to visit the UK next year Wearing regular clothing that's not from the fat lady store Wearing a pony tail without looking so round faced I work from home so I can't wait for the next "in office" meeting to see the faces of my co-workers at the sight of skinnier me Being as small as my sister and sisters-in-law Weighing less than my hubby Wearing the tennis bracelet I'm buying when I reach goal

Need Help with Protein Please...
I like a ham and cheese roll up with a little low fat mayo. I also like the small prepared meatballs in the frozen food section. You can use a little mustard or some marinara sauce for dipping. I like my plain Greek yogurt with a classic orange crystal light mixed in. Tastes kinda like orange sherbet. Good luck with your journey. You'll find something to your liking in the posts here. I'm learning a few new ideas myself!

What do I tell people?
Mrs CT--some people have said hernia repair has a similar recovery time as sleeve surgery. I told my office it was a "woman thing". That shuts them up.

What do I tell people?
- What has been the most shocking comment about the sleeve at any stage (pre-op, post-op) or about your weight loss?
My sister in law said "you let them just throw your stomach in the trash?". I have lost 44 lbs in 8 weeks. No mention about how much better I look and feel. get other support though.- Started documentation
My doctor mentioned the fact that my droopy tummy gets caught in the zipper of my pants.- How much time off after sleeve did you need?
I also have a desk job and went back to work in 3 weeks. I probably could have done 2 weeks. But I was still tired and just spent week 3 napping, learning how to eat, take vitamins/supplements on a regular schedule and I started my exercise then. I am 52 years old and maybe the younger folks recover faster but 3 weeks was perfect for me.- First Time eating out
My eyes are still bigger than my stomach. I usually eat four bites of whatever I order. DH and I don't usually split because we have different tastes. So I have leftovers for the next couple of meals. Eating out is a little stressful because I "want" to eat what I used too. I'm still distinguishing between real hunger and head hunger.- Six Months Pics 103lbs down
You look so much younger and happier. What an inspiration you are to us newbies. Keep it up!- 12 days post op stomach cramping!! HELP!!
I had cramping above belly button on left side nearedt my biggest incision at about three weeks. Really scared me so I called the doctors office. They told me it was normal because of the muscles they cut and possibly a nerve giving me problems. I think you should call your doc just to put your mind at ease.- Will be joining you all tomorrow, yay!
So excited for you! Good luck tomorrow.- Would you sleeve again?
It took two years of red tape, getting new insurance, revision of VBG and waiting another six months to get my sleeve. I am so much happier and healthier at just seven weeks out. I wish I could have done it sooner!- where are you losing it?
I've lost 40 lbs and also still wearing my old pants. They are basically looser all over. I did take measurements and I'm losing equally all over for a total of 20 inches so far (7 wks). I bought a new bra yesterday and have gone from a 40 band to a 36. If I were you I'd start measuring now.- tomato soup
I just get my soup hot enough that the shredded cheddar melts almost instantly. It doesn't hurt my sleeve.- How Much Walking Did You Do in the Beginning?
At 6 weeks out, I can walk 1.5 miles in 20 minutes. Don't know if that's good or bad but I try to do a little more each day. It's been so hot here in Dallas that I've been going at 7:00am and walking at the mall. I've met a lot of nice people that also walk that time of day. My goal is to walk 30 minutes by the end of next week.- One Year Anniverary
Hubba Hubba! The other posters are right. You look 30 years younger. So motivating. Keep up the good work.- How do you reward yourself now?
I get mani/pedis about every three weeks. A beautiful Michael Kors handbag ( on sale) at 50 lbs. I hope to get a nice piece of jewelry when I reach goal. Maybe a tennis bracelet since my wrist has always been too large for one- tomato soup
I used Campbell's and Amys with skim milk and a little sharp cheddar melted into it. So yummy and the leftovers keep pretty well.- I Just Wanna POOP!
If you are eating "real food" you could do what I do which is eat two dried plums (prunes) a day. I think they are pretty tasty and they work gently.- Down 110lbs!
You look mah-velous dah-ling!- Callanetics: 10 Years Younger in 10 Hours
Thanks for the tip. I ordered the DVD on Tuesday and it came today. Can't wait to try it out. You look incredible!- Just For The Fun of It: Which "Diet Plans" Did You
So many diets it's hard to remember. But i do remember my favorite gym. It was for ladies only and it was called FIGURE WORLD! We used the old shaking belt around the waist. We did the Jane Fonda VHS video in our leotards and leg warmers. I know this dates me. I actually have some fond memories of that place. Sleeved om 7/22 --33lbs down and about 70 to go. - What has been the most shocking comment about the sleeve at any stage (pre-op, post-op) or about your weight loss?
