Congratulations on making the decision. I was originally scheduled for the operation July 21 and started my liquid diet 2 days ago. I was using the Atkins Day Break shakes and they worked great. Had a shake & a couple glasses of Water & felt full for a good 4 hours. Try out some different Protein Shakes & powder mixes now to get an idea what tastes good to you and what curbs your appetite best. GNC has a great website with customer reviews of all the different products so you can avoid what people say tastes terrible. Surgery got rescheduled to the end of August now but I am hoping to keep going with the shakes til then. Best of luck with your surgery!

Got a call from Dr office that the insurance couldn't get approval by july 21 so surgery rescheduled to aug 28. Better than a flat out no. Proved to myself I could go 2 days on liquid diet and think I will stick with the Protein Shakes for breakfast & lunch until then. Best of luck to everyone getting their bands soon. Will join you in 6 weeks or so.

Hope you are feeling better by now. I was experiencing the same problem since my first fill last Thursday. After the fill the Dr gave me a glass of Water and it didn't go down so easy but I had no idea what to expect & just assumed that was normal. I hadn't been able to eat anything since and even a spoonful of oatmeal was causing a lot of discomfort. I called the Drs office and they paged him & he called me back 5 mins later & told me to meet him at his office. This was Sunday afternoon. He originally put in 4cc on the first fill & removed 2cc and the relief was instantaneous. Been able to get down some Soup & liquids. Very happy I called & that I have a fantastic Dr.
