I am looking for a lap band buddy in Chicago I had my lap band put in on Aug 17th 2011 but I have never met anyone else on here from Chicago is there anyone out there ?

Hey everyone it has been a long time since I have been on here everything has been going well till now I started off at 315lbs and now I am 250 but I cant seem to go lower than this I don't know what's wrong on Aug 17th it will be my one year surgiversary and I was hoping to be near my goal weight of 190 but that does'nt seem like it will happen HELP !! what can I do to get to my goal weight I currently have 4cc's in my band .

lol I agree also i was telling my coworkers that today at a meeting it was soooooo hot and all I wanted to do was chug that huge cold bottle of water lol -

Congrats and yes this band is our best friend ! I am in the same boat I got banded on the 17th of this month but I am loving this band we can do this CHANGE IS BEAUTIFUL! Good Luck to you !

today is 9 days post op and today my staples come out so far went from weighing 301lbs to 280 very happy can't wait for more lbs to come off

Hello Taby here! Banded on Aug 17th starting weight was 301lbs surgery day I was at 284 I live in Chicago ,married with 2 children anyone else from Chicago?

Hang in there I got banded on the 17th and those gas pains are something else the best thing for me was Gas X the ones that dissolve on ur tongue got from walgreens I stayed away from the pain meds and also a heating pad is wonderful I know exactly what you are talking about I was weak for 4 days it's now I am feeling much better I thought it would never end but if you can get the Gas X strips and the heating pad and WALK it helps alot hope you feel better soon and remember it's for the best and we are strong !

I am 11 day pre op and this has been really hard for me I think it is because I have to cook dinner everyday for my family the hubby does not know how to cook and then to top it off I have cheated like 3 times already and I get sick then I feel sooooo guilty did this happen to anyone else? I am scared to think I didn't shrink my liver enough I am trying so hard to stick to PURE liquids till Wed when my surgery takes place but it has been a struggle !

Well day 5 of this pre op Diet and I am down 9lbs but boy am I hungry still I know it's a mental thing but I just can't seem to shake it off I am going to admit it is not as bad as it was on day 1 and day 2 but I guess it will be all worth it at the end just want Aug 17th to get here already !

Hey MsCarmel38 thank for the kind words it has been such a challenge while on this liquid diet temptaion is something but I have been able to control myself till yesterday I had two tablespoons of mashed potatoes and can I tell you i felt soooo guilty so for the rest of the week till the 17th I am back on pure liquid but I wish u the best and I am here for ya we need all the support we can get .

Hello I am doing ok still a little struggle but what can i do this pre op stuff is very hard lol but so far 12lbs down I just can't wait for the 17th . Hope everythind is going good for u as well God Bless.
