I am looking for a lap band buddy in Chicago I had my lap band put in on Aug 17th 2011 but I have never met anyone else on here from Chicago is there anyone out there ?

Hey everyone it has been a long time since I have been on here everything has been going well till now I started off at 315lbs and now I am 250 but I cant seem to go lower than this I don't know what's wrong on Aug 17th it will be my one year surgiversary and I was hoping to be near my goal weight of 190 but that does'nt seem like it will happen HELP !! what can I do to get to my goal weight I currently have 4cc's in my band .

lol I agree also i was telling my coworkers that today at a meeting it was soooooo hot and all I wanted to do was chug that huge cold bottle of water lol

Good Job I joined the GYM yesterday also woooo hooo I go tonight for the first time I am excited !

Congrats and yes this band is our best friend ! I am in the same boat I got banded on the 17th of this month but I am loving this band we can do this CHANGE IS BEAUTIFUL! Good Luck to you !

I am glad u put this out there because I just started the same exact feeling my shoulder is bothering me alot also hmmmm what should we do call the doc?

Hang in there I got banded on the 17th and those gas pains are something else the best thing for me was Gas X the ones that dissolve on ur tongue got from walgreens I stayed away from the pain meds and also a heating pad is wonderful I know exactly what you are talking about I was weak for 4 days it's now I am feeling much better I thought it would never end but if you can get the Gas X strips and the heating pad and WALK it helps alot hope you feel better soon and remember it's for the best and we are strong !

I am 11 day pre op and this has been really hard for me I think it is because I have to cook dinner everyday for my family the hubby does not know how to cook and then to top it off I have cheated like 3 times already and I get sick then I feel sooooo guilty did this happen to anyone else? I am scared to think I didn't shrink my liver enough I am trying so hard to stick to PURE liquids till Wed when my surgery takes place but it has been a struggle !

I soooo feel u im on day 7 and i almost lost it yesterday too lol I went to cook dinner for my family and I soooo wanted to give in I took a chip put it in my mouth and spit it out but let me tell you the taste was AWESOME lol omg I can not wait but I guess like these ladies said it's all going to be worth it mashed potatoes and gravy down sound too bad but I wish you the best of luck and remember WE CAN DO THIS!

lol Omg I am going thru that today anything my kids or husband says is just annoying me that's bad lol but I just told them I am not feeling it today .

Well day 5 of this pre op Diet and I am down 9lbs but boy am I hungry still I know it's a mental thing but I just can't seem to shake it off I am going to admit it is not as bad as it was on day 1 and day 2 but I guess it will be all worth it at the end just want Aug 17th to get here already !

I have not tried the Isopure yet! It is day five and I am sooooo grouchy I want to eat I hate the fact that I have to cook and I can't eat what I cook OMG !!!!! but I am going to try the Isopure today and see what happens thanks for the advice sandworms !

Well tomm starts my two week liquid diet I am looking foward to it but I am sooo nervous about the whole thing I ordered unjury and I still have not received it hopefully today, if not I have been looking around on you tube and thanks to MsBandit she helped me out on what to purchase well if anyone has any tips or suggestions please let me know I wish I could find some more people that live in Chicago that have gone thru this alot of my family members are not very happy with me because I am doing this but I am trying to remain positive and I know what's best for me and my family I am tired of being heavy I am a totally different person inside than what I see on the outside and I have two children that I have to stay one step ahead of them lol .
