I did true results in Austin August 2011. I am down 90 pounds. I know true results has a support group that meets once a month. I have had a great experience with True Results. Good luck on your surgery

Congrats you are doing great. It took 50 pounds for me until people said anything and it does feel good when people notice

So my doctor would not fill me any more thinking I was in the green zone a few months ago. I could eat anything as long as chewed well no breads but everything else. So I live in Texas and last week the weather has become colder. Now my band is tight new food are giving me problems but I eat slower and chew more I am fine. This seems crazy does anyone else have this issues? I just don't think I can get so tight from cold weather maybe I am missing a sign from the band.

Hello Carrie! true results did my surgery aug 2011 I live south of Austin. I am very happy with my results after a year down 91 pounds. I too had no weight related issues but i know it was coming the longer i kept the weight on. I was self pay too. You will do great the hardest time is the time after surgery and before you start getting fills. Let me know if you want a band buddy.

i have had my band for over a year and do 1300 calories a day now. I work out almost everyday number seems to work for me now. As i lose weight i reduce my calories. i use my fitness pal to track everything. i think anything under 1000 you are going to struggle if you are working out. 800 seems really low to me

I had Dr. Escival. At south Austin hospital. I'm with true results also. I got banded August 7th.
dr esquivel is who i had. the bad thing with true results is you never see the doctor after surgery the staff is awesome and super helpful. i am very happy where i am now but it is work i track everything i eat and work out 4 days a week.

As i have lost weight i am realizing my relationship with my spouse is not working. I guess when you focus on yourself for once you really start understanding what you need and want. i want someone to be romantic with i understand what you are going thru. We are currently working on our relationship. I too turn to comfort food when i at home and not wanting to deal with my husband or when i am feeling lonely.

i did true results in Austin August 2011. I love them. I have a 14cc band so it took me time until i felt restriction. It is hard to get over the habit/head hungry i still fight it i am at work or stressed.

I have the head hunger issue sometimes so I drink Water and wait. I also do this when I eat. I eat the recommended lapband portion ½ cup to a cup and wait. I don’t feel full like I thought feeling full was but I am in the green zone. I also get other signs that I have had enough a shoulder pain or hiccups means I over ate. My doctors have been very candid about overeating leading to issues with the band. It is something you must pay attention and do not overeat even if you head is saying something different. I am surprise how long I can go and a little amount of food. For me it took time and fills to change my thinking on what full feels like. The head issues i am still working on

i like the ice cream sandwiches and candy bars. i think the ice cream is 150 calories and the candy bars 110 calories. i am sure they are not the greatest things to eat but skinny cow sure helps me stay in my calorie limit and enjoy something sweet once in awhile

I was scared and worried too when my doctor mentation lap band. It took me 2 years to make my choice and i am so glad i did it. I was 160 pounds overweight now i am just 80 pounds over. i have had no issues with my band but everyone is different. i feel so much better now than a year ago. i know now the weight i lose will stay off and my habits will become my lifestyle soon enough best of luck and do all the research you can

One year ago today I was banded and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. I have lost 85 pounds and still have 80 to go. I have learned so much and have a new lifestyle now. I am social, happier and healthier. I work out 4 to 5 times a week I watch my calories with myfitnesspal.com It took me 2 years to finally make up my mind about getting the band I wish I would have done it earlier.
This week I had an appointment with lap band office and even have good restriction and weight loss I want my band tighter. I was telling my PA I feel like an addict asking for drugs obviously they did not give me a fill. My lap band office is conservative when it comes to fills. I had a fluoroscopy to check out my band at the appointment as well. The tech preforming the fluoroscope is 4 years out with her band but she made me very worried about having a slip. She said she sees slips and dilations a lot. She has even had dilations. I am a bit worried about this I need to make sure I am using my tool correctly to prevent this or is it something that will happen to everyone with the band? Anyone else feel this way? I am happy with the band and will be grateful for as long as I have the tool to use.

100 pounds in 6 months seems high for a goal. I have lost 80 in 10 moths with 1000 to 1200 calories a day. I work out 3 to 4 days a week. Its been hard I still work on head hunger daily. One of my friends had lap band surgery and it took 3 years to hit goal it can be a slow process for some people.

Having the band is work. If you have not worked thru any food issues you have the band will not work. i hear things like i paid to much to be on a diet. You will be on a diet and will have to follow it for sucess. Some people lose weight slower and because they have the band think the weight is going to fall off. Weight doesnt come off fast for some with the band. I think because the weight loss is slow for some, people give up on the band.
I track every calorie i eat and work out 4x a week i am losing a 1 to 2 pounds a week. I still have head hungry issues but i am very aware now when/what i eat.
