Has anyone ever had days when nothing stayed down and then the next day be fine? I had this with the lap band, but did not expect it with the bypass! I am 8 weeks out....WTH??

All day today, I was not able to keep down any liquids at all. I would take the smallest sip and I could feel it just sitting there. I was almost panicking and getting ready to call the doctor. As I was standing in the bathroom at work, looking in the mirror, I noticed my clothes were a little disheveled, so I began to straighten them up...you know...in case I had to go to ER. Well.....I adjusted my sexy VS front clasp bra and felt immediate relief. I could fill the Water going down. Apparently, my bra was hindering my ability to digest liquids today. LOL It would have been nice to discovered this early this morning instead of spending all day planning my bypass apocalypse.

I had a lapband removal to gastric bypass surgery on the 23rd. I was released on the 24th and had to go back into the hospital on the 25th for fever. Finally, I was discharged on the 26th and since then I have not been able to sleep more than a couple of hours and have not been able to nap!!! When will this end????

Has anyone ever had trouble getting a response from Lindstrom Advocacy Group? I emailed them and filled out the online contact form, but I haven't heard anything.

I am 9 months po and am starting to have some problems. I have had great progress and still losing but some days I can't eat anything but Soup without vomitting. Good luck!

I do miss eating foods like bread and french fries. However, I like feeling good and being able to walk with out becoming short of breath or having to go to speciality stores to buy clothes.

I know exactly how you feel. A week before my period I do not even think I have lap band, I can eat like crazy and then I feel so bad!

Second fill today...4.2cc in 10cc band

Good luck to all!!!

I have pain on the left side on and off. Generally, it is about a week before my period, so I think that has something to do with it for me.

I had my first fill on Friday and I am hoping this will speed up my weight loss. I had only lost 6lbs last month and doc was not too happy with that. However, since I have been on this liquid and soft diet again, I am losing now
Good Luck to everyone on their journey!!

I am so glad that I clicked on this post. I was going to post a question regarding the runny nose issue, but I thought everyone would think I was CRAZY. It is so good to know I am not the only one!!!

Thanks for the responses! I have a fill scheduled for Friday so we will see how that goes

Okay, so I was banded on August 22nd, 2011 and I have had no fills due to continuously losing weight. However, it is only approx. two pounds a week.....until this month....I am starving and feel like I could eat my shoe if I could figure out a way to get it past the band. I am eating about 900 calories/day....approx. 75-80g Protein and I am drinking Water or Crystal light continuously and walking 2 miles/5x week. At first I thought....PMS (you B*t*H) but I can't even blame that any longer. Do I just need a fill? I'm sooo pissed I have gained back a pound this week and it is my first gain since the band!!!! Any suggestions????

Hey Texasbandit-
I used Dr. Victor Gonzalez in Dallas at the Center for Obesity Surgery. I had surgery at the new Forest Park Medical Center. I love Dr. G and have been doing really well, except for the lack of energy. I have my first fill scheduled for October 28th. I can tell that I have been eating larger portions and do not want to start gaining. Have you had a fill yet?

I had surgery on 8/22 and I still do not have a lot of energy. The doctor keeps pushing Protein but it is hard to get all that protein and stay under 800 calories. Good Luck!!

Way to go! If you are feeling good and not having problems I would not worry about it.
