    A question for the ladys

My periods have been going crazy. I get about two a month with maybe a week and a half between. I am considering going on bc, but dont really want to. I went from having one period every 4 mths to this! I am hoping that after i lose more weight, my body will be able to fluctuate better

    Just Curious

The carbonation stretches your pouch...if u keep drinking it over time it will stretch it. My husband had bariatric surgery, lost weight, started drinking soda again, and all the sudden could it more bc pouch was stretched. I recommend to leave it alone. Drink crystal light or freeze the soda to make a slushy so it isnt carbonated.

    Lap Band - your thoughts

Here is a good article that explains the lap band perfectly: http://drsimpson.net/fills/Lap-band-eating/lap-band-not-restriction/lap-band-and-restriction.html

    Uggg, TOM and cheat day!

My work brought donuts in today and i was strong enough to resist. Then they brought the pizza....which is my ultimate weakness. I gave in and had a half of a large slice. It was so good that i cant regret it....i havnt had pizza like that in about 7 weeks! But...it was a once in a while thing and i wont make a habit of it. The important thing is long term success,...and i plan on being a goody goody forvthe rest of the week

    So..... Burping?

So.... Does anyone feel like they are burping like crazy all the time? I hardly ever burped pre-surgery, but im a month out and cant seem to stop! It gets very embarrasing when i'm at work!
  6. Is this fact or fiction? I havnt lost anything for a few weeks, but on period. Do people normally time out during their period? I appreciate your input.
  7. So, i havent lost anything for a few weeks and im stressing. However, my period started on sunday. Do u still lose during your period or is it basically time out until after? Im really frustrated but before i call my doc i thought i'd ask.

    strange pain, ladies only

My bra hurt me after surgery. I could only where a sports bra if anything. After about two weeks, i could wear a wire for short periods of time and now can wear it all day, no problem. I think it just had to heal and the pressure bothered it
  9. I get what u r saying. I've lost 16 lbs and dont see it. Especially since i am just fitting BACK into my older fatty clothed. Lol. But i know we'll see it and feel it with time

    Scared about vomiting

Luckily i didnt. I was just really afraid i would, but all is welk.
  13. So....i accidently took a wrong pill (two actually) that i thought was a different perscription.... But after i took them i noticed the different smell (yes, the pilks have a stinky smell) so i looked at the bottle and it was my metformin. The problem with metformin is that it now makes me vomit. I've been taking it for about 3 yrs but quit a few mnths ago bc they were making me so sick. Now im afraid that after not taking them for so long they will make me sick again tonight! I'm one mth post op and havnt deal w/ being sick yet and im scared! I hid the pills in the very back of my cabinet, where i thought they already were, and ate some crackers to try and ward off the stomach ache i know is coming. Sigh. Any advice?

    Question about cals

So....i've been curious. What is a normal calorie range for a bandee? I'm 5wks out and eat roughly 1200 to 1300 cals. But i'm not sure qhat the correct range is. I was doing about 800 on liquids but more on solids now. What is normal?

    Caloric Intake

I just posted this question. Lol. I try to aim for 1200, but sometimes i get around 1300. Is that too much? I was losing weight really good, but at a stall the last few days. But u would think at 240 lbs, only taking in 1200 calories would keep me losing. That is why i wanted to ask... Wasnt sure what i should aim for

    Getting Ready

I am about 5 weeks after surgery right now. I looked into the surgery two years ago and decided against it. My best friend got it at that time. Two years later, by BFF is 100 lbs less than where she was at the time and I was exactly where I was 2 yrs ago. It was at that point that I decided I needed to the do the surgery, whether or not I liked it. 5 weeks in, i'm 16 lbs down. It was realizing that I had been trying on my own for 2 yrs with no change. I lost 20 lbs here and 20 lbs there, but I'd gained everything I'd lost back. I needed a change. Of course, i am still adjusting mentally as well. For example, reading this lets me know that I can't count on the band to be what makes the difference...it's a tool that I can use to maintain and help me. But....it is still a mental change I have to go through. If this is what you need, i think you are making a good decision.

    Why is everyone complaining??

Hello women! Also...don't forget that hormones play a huge role with being able to lose weight. If you have PCOS, thyroid issues, or something in combination with obesity, it may cause you to lose weight slower because of hormone imbalances. You may want to check this out as well. I have PCOS and it is very difficult for me to lose weight. But, knowing this has helped me to adjust better to the band anyway, bc the stuff that I shouldn't eat with the band, I shouldn't eat with PCOS....such as bread, rice, pasta, etc...the yummy carbs. Hormones have a huge influence on the body...something you may want to check into.

    Getting crazy!

It's pretty common to hit a plateau. Just be patient and keep doing what you are doing. If you are burning more calories than you take in...it is impossible to NOT lose weight. Your body may be holding on to it or you could be building muscle. Try not to stress about it because stress can also cause your body to hang on to stuff. It sounds like you are doing what you need to do!

    I cant wait

Welcome! I am 5 weeks out and it has made a huge difference already. Lost 16 lbs already. The last few days have been rough with cravings...and I think I am entering the Bandster Hell everyone is always talking about. But I don't care. It was worth it. Congrats on making the decision and good luck!
