Sorry, I am just seeing your question tonight. I kinda took a break from the site. It was hard seeing everyone having their surgeries done and I was still on hold. I got referred to the hematologist and got my anemia issue resolved. Next I was cleared for surgery the first week in Sept and got SLEEVED on 9/22/2011!!!!!!So I am one week out as of today and 33lbs down from my highest wt! How r u?

Thanks for the well wishes MLD, but my surgeon called me @ abt 230 today and cancelled my surgery. I'm DEVASTATED!!!!! I have been anemic for years due to heavy menses, but I just had a hyst @ the end of May to resolve that issue. Evidently my pre-op labs show that I'm still anemic so he wants me to see a Hematologist to "look into" my anemia JIC there's another source. Understand his concern, but

Congrats on taking the VSG leap!!! I'm looking forward to mine on July 14th. So how has your recovery been? That's one of my biggest worries since I'm only off one week to recover. I hope things are going GREAT!! Wishing you the BEST success.

@sweetdreams, Yes, I am in the Dallas area. Having mine in Decatur. You are sooooo lucky!!!! My doctor required 2 weeks of liquid diet pre-op, so July 4th was TORTUROUS!!!! You are doing GREAT though with 14 pounds lost already without even starting it. I have lost 9 pounds since starting my liquid diet last Thursday...
