  1. Anytime I am in the heat for more than two hours, I am unable to eat anything.. I feel so tight that even "chew, chew, chewing" wont stay down!! Is this normal?

Like for the forth I spent 7 hours at hurricane harbor.. that day I had my tea like normal, eggs, then anything I tried to eat that day would come back up!

  2. I did a lot research before I did mine, talked to my surgeon on different occasions. You can't believe everything you read on the internet! The way my surgeon did what he calls the iband is so the stomach wont turn necrotic.. its done in the way if needed to be undone it can be without causing damage to the stomach.

I saw my surgeon today and he was so proud of my weight loss and he was so excited about my iband results!

  3. @rae, wow and congrats!!! I get my "Iband" surgery on May 29... Is there a secret to your success? Following orders? What are you eating? Exercise? Being on track to lose 100 in 6 months us amazing! Will that put you at/ near goal? Thanks for posting... The closer I get the more anxious I am!

Hey, yea most was following docs orders! I am big about the Water rule and that seems to make a difference; no Water 10-15 mins before meal and no water 30 mins after. I've been eating frozen tilipia that you bake for like twenty mins and its soo good, and i dont like fish so that is saying something! that and the bumble bee chicken salad packs, chicken salad and 5 crackers is like the perfect for a small meal! also very important to get in your Protein, the one i love is Premier Protein.. I found it at sams its already liquid so its great for on the go and taste pretty good!!

not really exercising like i should, but soon ill be going more.. need to get past this month!! My goal is to be at 199.. at least! so i still have about two hundred to lose.. but still its a good start!

  4. hey guys! I had the band with plication (or as my doc calls it the "iband") on Feb 13th, so far I've lost 55 pounds!! I love it!! My doc said most bands will leave you sore a day or two afterwards, but with the iband I was sore for 6 days! very painful but the liquid hydrocodone helps alot! I dont know how much for I can say how amazing the iband is, so worth it! my doc says if i keep up with my progress I should be at 100 pounds lost by august!

  5. Okay, so since Feb 13th I've lost 55 pounds (yay me!) and in four months I will be going on a cruise. So of course normally I would buy my swim suit now since they don't sell them in September. But how the heck do I pick a size?! I mean if I keep on track I will be down over 100 pounds.. but honestly I'm losing everywhere but my waist!

Sooo.. what to do? My mother suggested that I buy the suit I want in three different sizes but I worry that I wont be able to return them.

  6. For the past 23 years I've been an emotional eater, and now that I am a month post op I can't eat my emotions and I am sad ALL THE TIME! I went for my first fill today and lost weight, I should be happy. But I can't stop crying!

I mean I am a 23 year old junior college sophomore, who hasnt had a date since my ex fiance married someone else (a month after we broke up) I have a part time job and I live at home.

I dont have alot to be happy right now, and I just.. I dont know!

I guess I'm just reaching out for some support, lol I could use a hug!

  7. yours seems more strict than my mushies stage.

    Per doctors office:

FRUITS: Any canned sugar free fruit and ripe banana

VEGGIES: Any canned or over cooked and easily mashed veggies. Baked potato just not the skin.

PROTEIN: Soft eggs- pouched, wet scrambled, over easy. Soft cheeses, Canned fish, tuna, chicken-in Water or broth only. Vienna sausages and Protein drinks or shakes.

STARCHES: Over cooked Pasta (no spaghetti or angel hair) stay with larger pastas 1/4 cup max. Cereal-corn flakes, rice or corn chex, rice crispies, cheerios (1/2 cup plus milk)

    No oatmeal, bread, carbonated beverages.

  8. while it may be considered a soft cheese, it has no nutritional value, and Pasta should def be a food you stay away from at this point. you should check out unjury.com they have a Protein cheese sauce, and maybe you should have it on a baked potato, mashed up really good. we can't eat a lot, esp in mushy stage, so you really need to think about food as fuel for your body. hard, i know, but i will get easier!

your right, no mac n cheese for me! but my doc office is pushing over cooked Pasta and sauce during the "mushies" stage

  9. And I'm sorry rae; I hope that comment didn't come off as harsh or flippant. As you are new to this these are important things to think about. But I would think it would take a lot more than eating a couple of eggs to stretch a pouch. Deep breaths.....you are doing good!

lol, no i appreciate your "bluntness"!!

  10. I am sure that you have not done any damage but I am not sure that fried eggs are mushy. Mushy is stuff that is as the word says - mushy. eggs can be hard to eat and frying them is not a good option. Apart from the unnecessary fat it also forms a skin that can be difficult to digest. You would be better off poaching your eggs and mashing them .

I call them fried.. but my mother says they arnt really fried eggs. They are "over easy" and really really easy very very runny!

  11. I started my mushies today, i was really excited so i fried two eggs. I ate them (chew, chew, chew) and a bit after I was done i have this FULL filling. which yay full after two eggs.. but Im worried i will stretch my "pouch". I did eat to quickly..

DID I JUST SCREW EVERYTHING UP?!?!!

    HELP PLEASE
