Dr Aceves and his team are awesome ... tell him shermichael says hi and thanks
  4. Congrats All!!! i went to Dr Aceves... no pain no nausea and no regrets ... my surgery was july 30th and i'm all most 70 lbs down ... best decision i ever made ...my life hasn't been the same when i started this journey i was a size 3x and i'm almost 4 months out i'm wearing mostly larges... that's crazy... ... best of luck on your journey .. you can message me anytime for support...
  5. be encouraged we all have had the feeling and yes it will pass. anti- acids TUMS were my best friend at the time... really help relieve the pain FAST... Pretty much every pain you feel in your neck, back, chest or side will be gas related in the first few weeks... (TUMS will help!!!!)
  6. i decided not to share with everyone ... just my ex-husband and best friend ... no one else knows ... my decision - i hate being judged by others who have no idea what it was like for me trying on my own to lose all this weight i have tried everything and yes i would lose some weight but always gained it back plus... i don't mind working out, but i love my sleeve THANK GOD FOR RESTRICTION AND EXERCISE OR I WOULD STILL BE 247LBS. So you're not alone yes we are made to feel ashamed, because of people who judge so harshly... but i would do it again in a heart beat and not tell a soul... it's a personal choice- to tell or not to tell- your decision : )
  7. wow!!! you look amazing ... congrats on the success.... you look great .....

  10. 3 months out and still going strong and feeling great... I've lost 62 pounds and here are my pics ... ( in just 3 short months still can't believe it) LOVE my sleeve 1st pic was a couple of months before being sleeved the rest are as of the Oct 30th I don't have very many pre op pics ... i use to hide from the camera ... now they have to hide the camera from me ... I LOVE TAKING PICS NOW.. : )
  11. well for me in less than 3 months i've lost over 60lbs ....and I'm very pleased with that i do work out and I eat right... and I'm strictly by the book type person ... anyway so worth it to me and i was self pay dr aceves so worth every penny ... my excess body weight was 117 ... my beginning weight was 247 and this morning was 185 .. THAT"S 60lbs ... from size 3X to L or XL depending on the cut .. so loving my sleeve ( woo hoo i meet my Halloween goal) stay focused you'll do fine ... I know that everyone losses differently but i'm almost at 70lbs lost and i still have time to loss more weight ... hope this helps ...best of luck ....
  12. ok, so i had dinner with my boyfriends sons (ages 14 and 16 both over 6 ft) ... i cooked for them and we sat down to dinner ... well at my man's house everything is over-sized the plates are huge and so i used a salad plate ( at my house i have 3oz bowls that i eat from ) ... so while eating, laughing, and talking... i was not paying attention to how much i was eating ( but his boys were ) and I had one bite too many and was so sick and miserable.... this is the first time that happened to me so I went to vomit in the bathroom .. well the boys not knowing i had wls called their dad and told him that i was bulimic ... They said that i had only had 3 small bites and chewed them forever then excused myself to vomit it up ... too funny ( oh ! the little one keep trying to give me something to drink when i was puking...he keep saying it would settle my tummy ... how cute : ) well need less to say i had to tell them about my wls ( especially when their dad came home and told me what they said) ... we all had one big laugh about it ... I have to admit it was pretty funny seeing from their perspective...

I LOVE MY SLEEVE... I was self pay with Dr Aceves and it was worth every penny ( no pain, no nausea, and no complaints : ) from me .....and i would do it again in a heart beat...)
