    Hi, its been a long tome since ive been on this forum,but when I saw the topic I felt I had to comment. Dr. A was my doctor,I had my surgery 10 months ago and I am so glad that I chose Dr.Alvarez as my surgeon! I have lost 94lbs and have had zero complications! I don't take my acid reducer any more and in general I feel great!     Hi my name is Genny. Dr.Alvarez was my surgeon and it will be 7 months on the 15th of April.i had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend him! the staff was great! from Susan to Jessica the whole team was so proffesional and kind! I have lost 81lbs and feel great! hope this helps,best wishes!

    I just wanted to say thank you to my Carrie on the forum. Sometimes I think we forget to thank the people who love us the most and encourage us. My wife went out and purchased all of my food for my 2 week liquid diet. She put all the different shakes,Protein drink mix and Protein Bars in lunch bags and also put the day of the week on them with the calorie intake of the bag! If you have a spouse,friend or other family member kicking ass for you like this, please give the thanks that they so well deserve.:D

    Being sleeved was the best thing I did for myself, my health and my family in that order. I started out in a size 16 and now am in a size 8. So hard to believe it's me I'm looking at in the mirror. Have had no complications and have not lost any hair. Thanks for the support from my family and forums like this. I haven't felt like this or had the energy since in my 30's and I'll be 60 this year.

    Hi Sleeve Family!

    I just thought I would write and let everyone know how I am doing. I finished my seventh month of sleeved life at 174 pounds. I lost 70 pounds in seven months with the sleeve (112 pounds total with the band and sleeve). I have also lost two more pounds this week. I just wanted to post this for those starting this journey. Don't be scared....GO FOR IT! The sleeve WILL change you life in wonderful ways! I recently went to a wedding and I was floored that I was able to buy a size 10 dress to wear to it. I still have 29 more pounds to go until I hit my goal. I know if I stay dedicated, I can do it by my December 27 surgiversary. I can pretty much eat anything (in small amounts), except that hamburger meat sometimes doesn't agree with my sleeve. I still have great restriction. I mainly count my carbs and keep them around 70. I have NO acid reflux so I don't take any medications, except for my Vitamins. I LOVE my sleeve! Here is a pic of my daughter and I this past weekend for a wedding and the other picture was taken the night before my band to sleeve revision.
