  1. Surgery was July 6th. I am down 40 lbs and today I weigh 165. I am getting some exercise. I've been riding my bicycle around the neighborhood every day, either early morn or late afternoon or sometimes both. I've figured out how much I can eat at each meal (i.e. not much:) & my energy level is back up since I got a prescription from the dr. for a B12 nasal spray. I haven't purchased any new clothes yet. That doesn't mean I haven't been spending $$ tho:). I wo...

  2. I NEED TO EXERCISE!!!! I am almost 2 months post op and I am only down 34 lbs. I am taking in between 50 and 60 gms of protein a day (primarily protein drinks and bars) and drinking lots of water...but I was hoping to be down more than this by now:( I've GOT to exercise!!!

  3. I am about 20 days out from my surgery and I'm down 26 lbs. This morning I weighed in at 180 lbs. I am going to find that skinny girl inside me:)

  4. Staples were taken out today and dr. gave me a thumbs up. All is well. Next appointment is August 10th.

  5. VSG scheduled July 6th - Counting down the days and hours:)

  6. I have never been able to stay on a diet - so my biggest concern is whether I'll be able to change the relationship I have with food - and really stick to a strict diet. Will this give me the will power to eat right???

  7. I think so. I talked to a couple of friends at work who have had lapband. I didn't even know about vsg until I went to the dr. in May, then I knew it was for me. So the decision to move forward was quick. Since then, I have spent hrs viewing testimonials. In the past I have responded well to surgery, so hoping to experience an easy recovery. We are going on a cruise Aug 13th, so I better be well:)
