  1. Hi

I completed my 4 months after surgery this 21st, and lately have been facing a slow down in weight loss. Have lost a good amount in intial two months but in last two only had a weight loss of 18 lbs.

Just want to know is it normal or am i doing smthing wrong.I am eating right and also excercising , though i do miss on my Protein intake.

Please advise...... as its really depressing

  2. Dear Liz, we are all so different, if you do more and more search about "Stalls" you will find that it is not always typical for ppl to stall just in the matter of the first month.

Sometimes it happens in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th month and also sometimes it happens every month. Some ppl here keep stalling or lets call it standing still for 20 days or more then just starting losing in 10 days of the whole month.

Look at ur ticker, u have come so far in a matter of 2 month and half! isnt that great!!, u are half way there. U WILL CONTINUE TO LOSE.. and it is so natural to be posting this but here is my reply to not only comfort u but to also make u believe, THIS is ur body adjusting to 40 LBS LOST! give it a break and let it get used to the new skinny u. U will be back to losing sooner than u imagine, but make sure beside exercising that u are really drinking ur Water and not stressing too much.

Thanks Dear, hope your words come true and i starting loosing again , have my fingers crossed. Its just that when one has been overweight throughout life and never had any hope of loosing weight makes the one impateint once the weight loss starts, just wnat to for once in life be normal and not obese.

  4. I had my first get together with old frnds yesterday, i hven't told anybody that i was getting sleeved was nervous a bit on account of my eating cause i love eating and yesterday's party was on me cause i got promoted and was in my fav chinese resturant.

I got sleevd on 21st June, tommorow will be completing my first month. it felt gud when almost everyone askd have you lost weight :-)

But the scarier part was when food came, i didn't want them to see my almost empty plate and start forcing me to eat ( After all theparty was on me) so i had my plate full all the time, and talked a lot, no body ralised i just ate 3 small dimsums in 2 hours. Though it lead to wastage of food which i dont like.

But somehow i felt happy after the lunch all my worry was for nothing, i guess nobody notices if your plate is full.

  5. So dont get me wrong, I am so excited to have this surgery, but I dont deal with pain or being sick very well. How horrible was it like the 1st week post op? I am not going to back out of this, I already have my mind made up. Just want to prepare myself.

I can understand how you feel, cause i was also very scared before my surgery, as never had any surgery before that, in fact was never got that sick to be admitted to hospital, but it was all OK, though i guess everbody's body is difrent but i did not feel any pain or nauusea after th operation, in fact now its been 10 days and haven't faced any issues like dizziness, vomitting etc. Though i must admit i was very sore on the day of operation and tired of the bed, but once i started walking everthing was ok, got released on the second day. So dont worry hope for the Best and everthing will work out for gud.

Sending my wishes and thoughts for you, best of luck.

  6. Thanks and sending mywishes and thoughts yur way for speedy recovery nd weight loss :-)

So howare you doing on your liquids, are you able have them well, and i know its early to ask but how much have u lost till now.

I don't have an answer to your question but I would like to hear what people have done. I'm 34 5'6, started out weighing 248 and was sleeved on the 11th of june. I'm still on full liquids. I too am scared to start eating regular food (though i'm tired of what i'm eating now). best of luck in your journey.

  7. Omg. U have the very same stats as me. I will be 31 next month, I'm 5'7" and weigh 252. I don't know if I can get down to 154 and look good though cause I'm kinda a "big boned" girl. Anyways my surgery is july 20th. Lots of luck to u and I will watching 4 ya.

Thanks.....154 is my goal but as per my doctor i should be targetting somwhere between 170-180  .

All the best for your surgery, hope everthing works out well.

PLease share what worked best for you like diet, workout for speedy weight loss. Also what works best for ensuring thta the skin does not losse too much, am really scared on that aspect.
