  1. hey dude "the times they are a changing!!" SEXTING???? say whattttt??? are you kidding me!! i would forget the smart phones, computers trying to meet someone. old but true - maybe a friend could introduce you to someone, maybe meeting someone at the library (they are reading WLS books by @Alex Brecher meeting someone at the grocery store. you pretend to be all dumb and perplexed over which cereal to buy!! fingers crossed for you!!!whole big world of people waiting to meet you. good luck kathy
  2. @Sullie06 hi neighbor i live in Upstate, NY too Syracuse kathy
  3. @dreamingsmall i think @Cynthia119 is expressing sadness/injuries/pain about her car accident. looking for support during this hard time. she can't exercise like she used to in her present condition she is sharing that she is experiencing a stall - we all hate that. presently bummed/depressed not being able to exercise. hopefully her back shots will help her prob. my suggestion in trying to get some movement/exercise, rent a DVD on chair"sitting" exercises. they are helpful, give you some strength and motivation to continue your hard work. worth a try (i did it a few years ago when i broke my femur) you have lost 93 lbs!!! woo hoo, party dance - (you can sit and watch!!) btw - welcome to our large group. we get "smaller" every day.!! feel better soon i believe in you good luck kathy
  4. @Lainey H you were sleeved over 3.5 hours ago. how did things go? training for Olympics yet walking the halls soon? keep walking to get rid of gas? pain?? thing do gradually improve one day at a time! speedy recovery wishes good luck kathy
  5. @Alex Brecher i woke up from a nightmare. (it's 2:30 am) I was dreaming in Chinese and i didn't know what was being said. Wow, problem is gone. phew, i can go back to sleep now with a clear head thank-you @Alex Brecher back to bed, snoring away kathy
  6. @Alex Brecher What is your next step to fix this. "we're" all going crazy seeing this problem. i'm sure you are understandably going bonkers too. we all want the same end result. tia kathy
  7. @Alex Brecher by now, you have probably seen many comments about chinese looking posts!!! i'm officially pulling my hair out not a pretty picture!! help help help help thanx kathy
  8. @#fitnotfat no silly head!! i have it too. not your fault, or mine!! maybe is's something we ate it's driving me crazy it does resemble chinese lettering but... it is Greek to me!!! @Alex Brecher help help, please otherwise i'm gonna eat one dz dunkin donuts eeeek kathy
  9. @CTJohn good for you!! glad you didn't experience any pain. betcha you look great. i had my neck done last year - the scar was very noticeable. dr. gave me free samples of "meladerma" (msp) to use daily (x2) very thin line to start with - within 10 days line was was basically invisible!! really!! kept using the "Meladerma" for a while (2-3weeks) looks terrific! our famous saying on the board in "we are all Different" what ever you use, you'll look as terrific as me!! btw i have thought of doing my eyes too. who knows, maybe next year! good luck kathy congrats
  10. @Dashofpixiedust8 nice to see you again I'm unsuccessful visualizing your appearance with almost 300 lbs gone.!! what places did you have skin removal? tummy, arms etc.??? due to the your excess skin. IMO no way is a 2nd extender needed. you are amazing, being such a weight loss looser. (even though you are a winner!) more skin removal in the future??? you are close to loosing 300 lbs you can probably taste it. you should be a poster girl for WLS success!! happy flying keep up the great job. kathy
  11. @bayougirlmrsc thank you for sharing this information @Elode you are great person, plenty of inspiration to many. condolences hugggs to you and your family, take care my friend kathy @Alex Brecher
  12. @Paloomino78 struggles? what struggles? YES, YES, YES for me it was definitely worth it.!! I had a very easy recovery you might have some pain, gas, other normal side effects right after surgery. but in the long run, for me, (and many many/most OP) the WLS is totally worth it!! when/if you read bad stories/posts they stick out in your head - you don't see the posts about how wonderful things have gone. as far as your cold feet? - put a pair of socks on silly head common phrase many people say, "my only regret is not doing WLS sooner" good luck on monday speedy recovery kathy
  13. @up4challenge "do or do not, there is no try" - Yoda glad you will push the fluids. food suggestions? you MUST have protein. ie eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, other cheese too. protein bars are quick energy too (QNC - 20 gr. protein) fish, chicken - meat in general have plenty of protein, almonds (nuts) plenty of foods mentioned by OP here. also recipes to follow. sending good vibrations your way. eating and drinking to your health. kathy
  14. @up4challenge you are at low BMI, (33) this does make a difference in how quickly you will lose weight. this is not a race, don't compare yourself to OP here that lose at a faster/different rate of time. it looks to me that you aren't eating any food!! don't be scared to eat, of course you are hungry. no food/no energy!! MUST up your calories!! eat more food. this probably sounds strange to some newbies - but it's a proven fact that OP have said. i'm sorry you are still having problems drinking your water. You must must force yourself to drink moire fluids. (easier said than done) sometimes drink water at room temp works for some OP. try it. other liquids like crystal lite are good. "they" say you can go without food for awhile, (if you must-but of course that's not good to do) BUT you can't go without water!! you have lost 11 LBS pre-op - 60 lbs post op - that is a great amount of weight - butttt please eat and drink more. (especially the drinking) take care kathy
  15. @Sherry Rice many OP here fluctuate. me too! fact of life - just like death and taxes.!! don't worry you'll lose that lb, a long with many more lbs. and inches one goal down - more to follow. good luck kathy congrats
  16. @hey_megh look at you - great pics what a clever idea, pics with same dress, different size!! you look maaaaavelous 140 lbs down!!! keep up the good job kathy congrats
  17. @24601 happy 2nd surgiversary!!! great pic! i know i shouldn't compare myself to you or OP but.... you are 5'"9' - 128 lbs i am 5"3' and weigh about 10 lbs more than you. i will always look "up" to you LOL keep up the great job. kathy congrats
  18. @LuckyCharm88 thanx for sharing your "words of wisdom" most newbies et al will appreciate this post. 65 lbs down!! - that's great!!! keep up the good work kathy
  19. @elforman speaking up for yourself being proactive challenging the ins. company/rules. girlfriend, you are ACES!! good luck next year Kathy
  20. @Lise2021 every morning i drink GNC/Total Lean Shake (swiss chocolate) - helps get my protein for the day. (25 gr) 14 oz. liquids! the crystal light is an old but true good suggestion/idea. gotta push yourself, you must!! easier said than done. But do it, for me? lol !! @Sosewsue61 - for me too, it's easier to drink when the weather is warm -(referring to different seasons) i am more thirsty. @Lise2021 - drinking to your health! good luck kathy
  21. @dzelaya90 3 week surgiversary - you are still a virgin!! people will not feel ANY restriction while they are on liquids. liquids pass right thru you. yogurt is a "slider", easy to eat, can eat lots without a prob. (not true for everyone, but for me it is) you can eat yogurt though. stop when you are supposed to stop. cookies, candies, popcorn, chips are also easy to go down, and you won't feel any restriction. so these foods are a sad "no no"!! if you have a meal, and you still are feel hungry - KNOCK IT OFF!! LOL amount you are allowed (even if you feel you could eat more - ) don't do it. People have been shot for less!! LOL there is a saying in WLS land - JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN, DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD!! Ignore the head hunger (easier said than done) you should/need to measure and ONLY eat the allotted amount per NUT. (nutritionist) Not losing weight for one, two weeks is not an "official" stall. 3+ weeks is a stall . most people do stall during weight loss. stop worrying (you'll give yourself grey hairs/headaches) down 17 lbs - that's great. you are doing fine. good luck kathy
  22. @thedawnmarie i have seen this question on the board before i laughed so hard. i said to myself, how silly, feet getting smaller, more narrow?? what - i found out it was true!!! ahhhh, the things we learn from OP good luck in June!!! kathy
  23. December Sleevers?? i had the sleeve December 15 - 2011!! yep, you heard me right. next month i'll be six (6) years PO 5 years GOAL i am healthy, feel wonderful, and look cute as a button one month PO i turned 58 years OLD! i will be 64 years YOUNG in January after losing 105 lbs, little fluctuations, i still say i am at GOAL (130 lbs 5"3) good luck to all December newbies "may the force be with you" kathy
