  1. Hey 5 pounds is still 5 pounds! That is great!
  2. what size were you? What are you now? Those jeans look TINY! I am 5'10" so I am just hoping to get to a size 8
  3. LOL to the annoying stall posts THEY REALLY ARE EVERYWHERE I was annoyed before I even had my surgery. I only weigh myself once a week. I like how you chart your progress. I just posted to see everyone's numbers. I am almost two months out. You look fabulous. I will beyond a doubt...get plastics
  4. Surgery Date: 6/13 Weight: 290 One Month Out: 7/13 Weight: 261 Two Months Out: 8/13 Weight: Guesstimating 250 So that would be 40 pounds in 2 months for me. But as you can see it probably only going to be 10 pounds the last month. Please post your progress
  5. I am sorry to hear about all of this. I hope things go well. Keep updating on his progress.
  6. It is so funny because now i am almost 8 weeks out and I didn't feel normal in terms of overall health until the 5th week. These past 3 days I actually felt better eating...It hasn't felt all weird like I can feel every bite move down my throat and into my stomach. I am actually able to eat a little more. I still don't have that raging feeling of hunger that i used to, but I can say that I am hungry. And I can say the full feeling is sort of back. Like I just had some seafood chowder, and I am full. Not all the way that I used to feel, but much better. I say all of this is funny is because I was right there where you are, and I was all freaked out that I was going to die! I am now going to start working out - starting next week. I just didn't feel up to it because I wasn't eating. It was too yucky, but again these past couple of days eating hasn't been so traumatic...So getting in two string cheeses instead of one...I feel I can work out now.
  7. When I got sleeved I was heavy. I was wearing a shirt size of 18/20 and for me that was really big. I can just look at my arms as I am losing and see how the skin is looking terrible, and I am only 35 pounds down. I was always self conscience of my body, but I don't want to go through this process and feel bad about the way that I look. I am so tired of it. I know I will get plastic surgery when the time comes, but what do to get me through this process. I saw my arms in the mirror today and the place where the stretch marks resided the most is already look like crop and you can see it looking all saggy. YUCK.
  8. I needed two weeks and really wish I took three. I guess everyone is different. I didn't have any complications, but the pain was TERRIBLE.
  9. I drink before I eat anything for the day. I just finished drink #1 in an hour and I am making drink #2. These are the protien drinks I listed that taste just like crystal light. SO GOOD and I refuse to drink those nasty milky chocolaty vanilla drinks - YUCK! So each of those drinks are like drinking water and are 15 grams of protien. About to make another
  10. chips.html" rel="external nofollow">http://www.bariatricchoice.com/wonderslim-bariatric-protein-snack-chips.html http://www.bariatricchoice.com/wonderslim-bariatric-protein-snack-bites.html Snacks.html" rel="external nofollow">http://www.bariatricchoice.com/bariwise-protein-potato-chips-protein-snacks.html These went down fast and were really good
  11. So two thumbs up for the pineapple!!!! YUMMMY drinking it now! SO GREAT! I also tried the Barbecue chips on the website and the barbecue snack things sooooo good. Made of soy.
  12. There are a bunch of people in woodbridge I saw on here too. I live in DC. My doc has a support group every third thursday. I think we should start one in DC on a Sunday or Saturday...Avoid the traffic. Does anyone want to meet up?
  13. Actually I spend WAY more time eating and drinking now. Before I could just shove down a meal and drink and then be done with my day. Now I have to CONSTANTLY think about eating or drinking something. IT SUCKS MAJOR LOLLIPOPS, but I know eventually things will get better.
  14. Mina - I AM RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE AND WE HAD THE SURGERY AT THE SAME TIME! I don't even like eating solids because they feel so weird. String cheese does melt in your mouth and the spoonful of Peanut Butter does go down easy. 64 oz of Water is like drinking a pool. I feel like the food sits longer in our tummy than others. I remember thinking that before the surgery. I would eat a big meal and not eat until the next day. The food would just sit there for hours. I maybe take three bites of something and I just can't eat anymore. So what am I going to do? I HAVE NO CLUE! I am just hoping that in a couple more weeks things will be different. The protien drinks I drink have 15 grams per drink which is 8oz and they are fruity and good. So if i can get 3 in a day that is 45 grams. So I think I am going to eat a piece of string cheese for Breakfast. Then once I am at work for the next three hours I am going to have 3 drinks. So I am already at 50 grams of protien by lunch. Then once all the Fluid has cleared I nibble on chicken/tuna salad for the next three hours. once that has cleared I drink water for the rest of the night and if I want a snack I have a spoonful of peanut butter. I have been working on this schedule, but not even close to following it because once I eat solid food I can not drink for HOURS so I want to get a lot of fluids in before I eat anything. One piece of string cheese will already be so mushy it will slide through better. I have to drink things with ICE so all the ice I add melts so I probably drink close to 11oz in the hour for the drink. It is like EVERY hour you have to be drinking or eating something. So our schedules are more demanding and it will take time. I would really love an IV right now.
  15. food is overrated now. i just don't care about it. i eat because i have too which is way better than sneaking off to eat 1/2 glazed doughnuts from 7 eleven. And really with all the eating I was doing...it wasn't like I was eating a gourmet meal every night. I was just shoving it in...sometimes it was yummy and sometimes it was whatever. I am happier now. Just working on getting that protien in
  16. I wake up and eat an egg. Then I drink a Protein drink. Then I drink some Water. Then I eat some meat. Then I drink a Protein Drink. Then I drink some water. Then I eat more MEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Then I drink water and my favorite diet tea. Then I eat a piece of cheese. Then I have a popcicle. Then I try to drink another protien drink. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
  17. I am only 5 weeks post op, 34 pounds down and can already tell that i am going to have to have the surgery to remove the skin. BUT I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO IT! So in this losing phase...THANK GOD IT IS DURING THE WINTER! SO maybe next year I can have it all chopped off! I had my boobs chopped off in 99 and that was the best thing ever! I could care less about scars. I am WAY MORE WORRIED about my thighs which were already pretty gross. NOW I am going to have to get those cut off too It is ok. I am excited for all of that. As long as they don't cut through the muscle I would think those surgeries...for most people...would be easier to recover from.
  18. I was still winded and tired at 3 weeks. And I still had incision pain. Everyone's timeline for feeling better is different. I am FREAKIN tired today. I am almost 6 weeks out. It is ok. I am sure everything will get to a good place eventually.
  19. Wow. I am right where you are. I don't have buyers remorse at all because I still think this yucky feeling is better than feeling guilty that I ate 8 pieces of fried chicken. I literally just ate some salmon, and I had to stop eating. I gave the rest to my co-worker I wanted it out of my office immediately. I am still loosing. 3 pounds this past week. I am not getting near enough calories. I may go get a frozen yougurt today. I think i am getting to a place where I don't care what I eat I need to eat so whatever I can bite here and there just to get down. I think maybe I will take the rest of the day to focus on fluids. I feel like my sleeve isn't liking protein very much. I feel so weird when I eat protien, but let me eat a bite of mashed potatoes and my sleeve doesn't mind that at all. Today is the first day I have ever taken a bite of food and literally wanted to spew everything. I got the foamies. I am also so tired. I just want to sleep. I like not eating way more than eating. i really haven't found anything that feels good to eat. I am terrified of losing too much weight. i know my muscles are messed up right now I can see them going away. Not a good day BUT I STILL KNOW THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!
  20. I have decided not to really ask this question anymore because everyday is different. Today I ate two cups of chilli from 1 to 5pm and never felt full, but satisfied. Sometimes it feels as though there are air pockets in between the pieces of food. Sometimes I don't feel anything and sometimes I feel like the food is in my throat so I just throw it up. I don't ever really feel full like I used to, but I am also not really hungry so when I am sort of hungry I eat a couple of bites and that feeling goes away. I love soups and anything mushy no weird feelings just goes in. Eating regular food it still feels weird. I literally feel every bite go down in load itself into my stomach. I feel like eating is never normal and full will never happen again. I don't even really care about that feeling because that is the feeling that made me depressed. I just don't like the air pockets feelings.
  21. I just ordered that one. Will have it tomorrow. I can let you know. The lemonade and lemon razzy are good, but I order a TON of stuff yesterday so I am going to try it all!
