  1. I am 221 and 9 months pregnant. That is a 58 pound weight gain and this month alone I gained 17 pounds. My belly got huge this month! I started getting edema bad so hopefully 10 pounds of that is Water. I am really sad...but at the same time...I am having a baby. I lost 130 pounds!!!!!!! Now my loss is 70 pounds. I have been eating so many freaking carbs! Any day now I will start posting my losses again. I just hope I can get back to 160/165!


  2. I am 8 months pregnant...got pregnant 1.5 years out just about. She is in the 50th percentile for growth...so average. That is cool by me...She is sucking me dry of iron...so make sure you are taking supplements with iron...no Iron and Calcium together. I think you can't take Prilosec...you have to see what you can take. I should be on something, but I am being a trooper and just sucking it up. I want a prevacid so bad.

    You have not posted in awhile!!!! I am 8 months pregnant now. Up about 44 pounds!!!! Looking forward to losing....OR JUST WORKING OUT! I have never wanted to work out so bad! Now that I am a big tubby chubby summer pregnant girl all I want to do is bike and go to the parks and do summer activities skinny!!! This would have been my first skinny winny summer...but I am a big girl again :) LOL! You gained 65 and i could easily get there in two months. So please check in with us! I am actually ok with getting down to 170 again if I can't lose it all.


  4. I actually lost some weight from my last appointment...AND I am excited to have this place to post my weight once I have the baby! It is nice to see that I only gained 6 pounds this month. I freak out, but that isn't a lot. BUT NOW COMES THE GROWTH SPURT! OH PLEASE NO MORE THAN 60 POUNDS!


  5. Weighed 204 @ 8 Months. I finally look pregnant...like really pregnant. Baby is 4 lbs. 2 More months give or take to go. So total weight gain so far is somewhere between 40 and 44 pounds. Some days are better than others. It is true if you just stick with Protein you crave less carbs...add that sugar or bread...man...talk about cravings. The fact that the heartburn is getting serious makes me not want to eat so much at one time. I am exhausted and have cankles at the end of the day. I am actually so excited about losing it. I will take prevacid as soon as I pop her out. I hope the hunger goes away, but if not I just feel like it won't be as strong. My hunger is OUT OF CONTROL. If I don't eat something...I will kill you! LOL. But...I still can't eat a lot at once. I will check in again soon. I am going every two weeks to the doctor now.


  6. 127...not too bad...could be water...but...vegan...I did that for three months before the sleeve. I just ate salads...beans...and more salads. I didn't really eat a lot of carbs. Bagels with tofutti cream cheese and sometimes some pita and hummus, but it was like salad after salad! I lost 20 pounds. But the carbs will really stick it to you!


  7. 5/14 weighed 198 @ 7 months!!!! 35 pounds gained. It is all over my body too!!! Hardly any in my tummy! I am scared. This month I could eat a lot more than last. 3 more months to go. I hope it slows down. Doctor is worried ... My Iron is low and I swear I look 4 months pregnant. I get to have another sonogram to see if she is growing ok. Heart beat is good. Feel her moving a lot more, but I can easily hide the fact that I am pregnant at 7 months. Taking iron supplements twice a day.


  8. @playlikeworldchamps I have the same issue. I started @ 300 lbs & people keep telling me not to lse too much. I think tall girls can carry a lot more weight than some people realize. Regardless, though, I'm ready to shed the pounds & feel good again!!!

    This is common problem! Do not listen to those people! LOSE LOSE LOSE! The more you lose the more cushion you have once you start to settle into maintenance and beyond. Everyone was saying i was too skinny...NO WAY! They are morons and were just used to me being fat. I looked GREAT!


  9. Everyone's goal weight is so high? LOSE MORE. Work at it and don't take no for an answer. Also be thin for once in your life. People who know you are going to say you are too skinny. At 5'11" I got to 161 and was a size 8. Ummmmmm yeah, that is not really that skinny. I am thin, but I still sort of looked athletic. I wanted to be a size 4 just for once in my life! People that just met me didn't say I was too skinny. Being tall and thin is AMAZING! So make your goal 5 pounds for every inch over 5 foot and do not post the I wishes. You can do it, you just need to make the most of the surgery and work the hell out!


  10. I'm 5"11 and was sleeved 3 weeks ago. I was 260 @ surgery and am down to 235.5 I haven't set a goal but the doctor told me I would have a hard time loosing 100 lbs.

    See this is what I am saying! Doctors are crap. They set the goals based on numbers that please them, not you. I was 291, your height. I lost 130. I am pregnant now, but I am hoping after baby to get back down to at least 170. I have gained a lot.


  11. I'm up 19lbs and I'm 24 weeks pregnant. Kinda scares me, but I know it's for the baby, and I'm confident it will come off after baby is here. (at least that is what I'm telling myself) :)

    I feel ya! I am up 25 pounds in 22 weeks. I have decided this week to make the conscience effort to eat better. I was really just grabbing for anything and everything because I was so ravenous. I am very nervous. I am not even close to the end...only 1/2 way there.


  12. My babies are a year old now, but while pregnant with twins I only gained 25lbs. I was hungry nonstop! I seriously are every 2 hours, bit I think because I was carrying twins they were eating up everything which is why I barely gained. They say with every pregnancy you will gain 15 pound just from the baby an the Fluid. So I wouldn't worry about gaining weight during pregnancy. And btw, I lost all of my weight with in 3 weeks and actually lost an extra 10...though I gained that back in no time!!!

    During pregnancy I started eating foods that I used to: chips, French fries, etc. basically carbs and anything bad. I guess from the lack of sleep with two babies I used food to help me deal with the stress. And my stomach totally got used to eating way more food and it never shrunk back down. I can't eat as much as I used to,but I can eat a 6 inch sub with no problem which is t good! I'm having a hard time liking the carbs being that I'm so hungry still all the time. So my suggestion is even if you are eating a lot, don't let the bad foods creep back in. Because now that I'm hungry all the time and I can eat a lot, it's harder to make good choices. Before when my stomach was small, I could make good food decisions be side I wasn't really that hungry. That is not the case now and it is horrible! I thought having the VSG I wouldn't have to really about food again, but now I feel like I'm on the same stupid diet roller coaster again!!!!

    This is how I am feeling right now. I am very worried. I can eat a lot. Way more than I should. I am also super hungry. I made the decision this weekend, even while being pregnant...to lay off the bad carbs. I still need to eat some starches, but I am steering clear of refined starches...so no more bread or Pasta. A little rice and potatoes here and there. I did very good yesterday. I was offered quesidillas and I declined and then in rolled the cupcakes. I ate a bite of one. I got home and had one meal and an orange. I really wanted to eat more, but I just didn't. I drank Water. I had more than enough food yesterday. So today is day #2. I am have had two tangerines and am about to go make my Cereal (once the box is gone I won't be getting anymore). I will go back to chobani. I am just clearing out my fridge and no more bad stuff is coming in. No more chips, donuts, ice cream, coffee cake, bologna, bread!


  13. I am 20 weeks pregnant and 1.75 years out from the sleeve. I lost 130 pounds. At 5'11" I weight around 160. I am up to 183 as of today. That is 23 pounds weight gain in 21 weeks (21 on Wednesday). I have NO clue whether or not I am going to lose this weight, but my restriction might as well be a thing of the past. I can eat my FACE off! I am so hungry all the time! I am hoping that the hunger goes away after baby, but I don't know. I was in maintenance when I got pregnant...I wish I gotten pregnant while still losing, but hey. I am pregnant for the first time at 36! That is a miracle. I have gained weight all over and still can squeeze into my clothes from my thighs, but can not button anything in the tummy. Shirts are little snug in the arms but mostly in my tummy. I feel big, but I am not going to let it get me down. I am not working out which just is terrible. I can not function in this cold weather and I am waiting for the warm weather to hit so I can go walking. Did i mention I can eat? Like everything! So scary!

    We have been on this journey so long together! I'm so sorry to hear you are struggling.

    When you are out shopping, how about some low calorie salty and crunchy treats like cucumber or celery with salt? I also like sugar free hot apple cider mix, sleepy time vanilla tea with splenda, and the starbucks instant Decaf coffee so I can have something yummy to sip that's calorie free.

    And I think you should be yourself a treat that is not food. I love getting a new lotion or lip gloss.

    I use a white board that sticks to my fridge door to track what I eat each day.

    Are you exercising? For me, I have to do it first thing or I won't do it. I lay out my exercise clothes and get up a little earlier so I have time to exercise before I do anything else.

  15. I literally have decided just to not care anymore. I am up 24 pounds in 21 weeks. The amount of food I can eat is astonishing. I really wouldn't eat that much, but I am forever hungry! I am glad I had the sleeve! I would have gained 100 being pregnant. I am going to try to at least go back to low carbing it because the carbs are really what triggers the sweet craving and wanting more carbs. I have to eat carbs, but if i can just make carbs the last meal of the day. I will try that tomorrow. I just eat what I can get my hands on, and I am not making smart choices. I eat from sun up to sun down. I just had a big plate of spaghetti. I shouldn't have chosen that. I was going to do chicken salad with fruit, but I saw the Pasta and it sounded good. I am on the way to 50 or 60 pound weight gain. I hope hope hope hope hope hope hope the hunger goes away after baby. It is really overwhelming. I dream about food. I love food. I want food. If I don't get it...watch out!
