  1. Oh yes! I don't have it happen every meal BUT.... it does happen a lot. My problem is forgetting to slow down between bites. Old habits. It is no fun eating your food cold, but if I don't want to get stuck....or have issues, you must slow down. I get really bad left shoulder pain ( sometimes, excruciating) when I am careless. I can tell I have gotten too hasty because I start belching a lot...and can tell something isn't going down well. Last week I had a rough episode and wasn't willing to finish my meal so I just had a protein drink instead. This is with only one fill since surgery on Feb 29.
  2. I get that shoulder pain when I eat too fast or when I need to stop eating. It sure makes me stop or slow because sometimes it is bad!!
  3. I have to agree about Mio. I LOVE the sweet tea! I use it every day. I also like the strawberry/ watermelon flavor. Haven't tried the others yet. I did try Great Value brand of the fruit punch and do NOT care for it at all. I'm sure the Mio brand is good. I also love crystal light green tea peach mango.
  4. I have been on a salad kick. Like tuna salad, ham salad, chicken salad and egg salad. I just made some egg salad with cottage cheese mixed in with a bit of bacon bits and a little shredded low fat cheese added. It was very filling and was 15 protein grams for my serving. Yum.

  6. You may not need surgery. I know a few folks that had a slipped band. The doc just removed all the fill from their band and within a couple of weeks it had corrected itself. Ask your doc. He will know best.
  7. Prayers going up for you, Rae. I think many of us are in the same boat as you when it comes to emotional eating. We have to find other ways to deal besides food. Reading, walking, hanging at the beach and going to the gym help me. Keep busy to keep your mind off if food. Any hobbies you like will help. Even readng these forums. Much success to you. :0)
  8. I wish you well. I will tell you like another helpful poster told me: you will feel like you just went asleep and woke up banded! It's so true! It wasn't as bad as I thought. I was not all that sore. My worst part was the gas/ (shoulder mostly) pain. It will be worth it. I was banded 02/29 and all is going well. My clothes are loose and I have gotten into some that WERE too tight! Said a prayer for you!
  9. My first food was KFC's mashed potatoes and gravy (this past Wednesday). I added unflavored protein powder. It was so yummy. I have never been that big of a mashed potatoes fan, but boy, these were heavenly. I was careful to eat slowly. Then i ate the other half of them for my next meal.
  10. Yoplait coconut flavor is delicious. I am not a big fan of greek yogurt, normally. I did find that I like the Chobani brand, stawberry or peach, okay but, I finally tried the 4 oz. cups of Yoplait brand this week. I would never have known it's greek yogurt. I am a fan!it greek yogurt,
  11. I don't have my pre op visit until Mon Mar 12, however I met with my nutritionist today. She gave samples of my next stage of foods. I never thought I would ever be excited over mashed potatoes n gravy! I have some unflavered protein powder and I just stopped by KFC to order. Oh my! How yummy they taste. I am so sick of sweet ptotein drinks. This is " heavenly". Plus I was a bit concerned with my weight loss since surgery. Too much to be healthy. I am down like 14 lbs. In a week! Now...don't get me wrong; I don't want it back!!! Lol! However I knew I needed to add more per meal than the first week allowance of 2 oz. I have material she gave me presurgery but it was nice to get clarification and menu samples
