  2. I am so excited as I am an October 19th sleever too. I have been taking Prilosec for years and have my GERD under control so taking Prilosec is ok for me. I look forward to hearing all the words of wisdom from you 19th ers after surgery when we are all on the LOSERS SIDE. YEAH US
  3. I hadn't realized that is has been so long since I wrote on my blog. I do want to keep up with my progress (it will be progress) so here goes. Sept. 28th I went for all my pre-op testing, registration and classes for my October 19th surgery. Talk about a great harvest, this is going to be the best fall in my life. Today 10/6/11 is my 4th day of my pre-op diet (I started a couple of days early, why wait) and it hasn't been as bad as I thought. I do get tummy growls but it is usually because it is time to eat something. Neat how the body will let you know what it needs. Wish I had been more in tune to it before now but we will have the tool to help get healtier in a few days. I have been getting the house ready for the new eating habits and God bless my Lovey's heart (husband) he is on the path with me. He is eating healthier even our dog Charlie is getting better low calorie dog food and walkies. We all are benefiting from this journey. I am trying to think of everything I will need during and after surgery and this web site is a God send for the information. I am excited about a lot of the NSV's that I have been having and the clothes are falling of me now. I will have to go get some smaller ones just to have something to wear during this losing phase. I feel great phsyically and trying to stay postitive mentally. I am already off my high blood pressure meds and my diabetic meds. Now if I can get rid of the high cholestral and sleep apnea machine, life will be so much simplier. Time for more chicken broth so I will "blog" more later. This is the beginning of a new life for me and I can't wait for the adventure.

Stay positive, believe you have it and it is yours. Stay on the doctor's office to get you codes changed ASAP. don't let them screw you again without a KISS!!! Don't get down CT this will work out!!! We will get your sleeve. Tell them they don't want a crazy TN Redneck up in their face, don't make me come to CT and get them. STAY STRONG!!!!!!
  10. I am so grateful to have a great work place and haven't kept any secrets. All my co workers are very supportive and that helps a lot. Of course, they have seen the years of illness from being overweight so I am sure they are glad as much as I am. I know not every one is a forturnate, just wanted to say, there are still some great places to work in this country. :-)
  11. VF59 My surgery it 10/19 we can be sleeve buddies. I am having mine in Knoxville, TN Are you getting nervous yet? I am not, I am just excited to have found a tool I know will work for me the rest of my life. This is a very exciting part of my life now and I can hardly wait. Good Luck to you buddy!!!!
  12. Or any chair with arms....I hate that...not long before that won't happen again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Great info especially about the "brain" being behind in the morph of your body. With your great attitude and determination, you will bounce over this stall and in no time be at goal. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. sending healing angels your way  Hope you can be on track with excerising soon. take care
  16. Your body is still adjusting to WTH did you do to me. Don't weigh everyday you will go nuts pick one day a week and weigh if you must. Did you take measurements before? what are they now?? There are NSV you are having that should inspire you. Clothes looser, jewerly loose, smaller clothes. Keep you journal and keep on track the scales will show you hard work soon enough. don't give up. remember this is only a tool and you have to keep working on it. try upping your walking to longer or faster pace. Add DVD excercise tapes or join a step class at the Y. You will be fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Wish I was in Vegas!!!! Stay strong and keep walking. Keep posting so we know what does and doesn't work for you. congrats on your new life.!!!
  18. Listen to CTFats, he is right. They want you be approved. As long as you are not suicidial you should be fine. Good luck and let us know how you did. remember Positive thoughts bring positive results!!!!
  19. The bin idea is a great one. If you don't mind, i am going get me a tote and but it in the closet and fill er up too. what a fantastic NSV!!!!! Great job on your preop. I will start my Wednesday and surgery on Oct. 19th. When is your date. Blessing wishes and good luck!!!!

  21. Collar Bones????? What are they lol I can wait to see if I have any. Great inspiration keep going. Bryn How are you great job on your weight loss!!!!! Yeah for you
  22. don't you love families!!! I was terrified to tell my Mom as she has been so negative in the past about my "crazy ideas". Surprisingly, after we talked and I told her all that would be happening and the liquid pre-op, purees and mushies, she has been very supportive and is even coming to TN for my surgery. I was thrilled. Give your sisters knowledge of all you will be facing and I am sure you will get the support you deserve and need. In the meantime, lots of support angels coming your way and know WE are here for YOU!!!! Do you have a surgery date yet??? Let's be Octie Sleevers together!!!
  23. Phoenix I am glad you are back on your old H20 pills. I am praying you lose whatever is needed for you to have your surgery. That is the exact reason I pray everyday that the Obamacare that was pasted in the USA will be repealled!!!! We would have to go through all the trials you have been going through and then some. Social medicine is not for the good of the people in my book. Anyway, please let me know how you are doing. Make sure you are exercising as that should help too. Wish i was there to help. Lots of helpful and encouraging angels are on their way to you!!!
