  2. How many people had surgery by Dr. Clark? I had mine July 2011. I am 173 pounds happy. Dr Clark gave me my life back. Same guy & girl 5 years apart.
  3. How are you doing? Dr Clark was my doctor too.
  4. I always thought this was stupid. If diets worked why are we here? Over 90% people fail. So why do this. Here in VA I was able to be sleeved in 3 weeks once I made my appointment. I feel sorry for you. Wish you the best. I always wondered if you lose weight do they cancel your sleeve? If so why?

  6. Great story. Sometimes it takes someone outside to remind us what is inside.
  7. A friend of mine just got fired for drinking on the job. He had the sleeve done last winter. I think what has happened he was a drinker but once he got the sleeve, the alcohol was no longer absorbed in the stomach. It passed through to the intestines & had a faster & stronger affect. It became a problem before he knew it. Does any one know about this? This should be a warning for the drinkers out there.

  9. Not 2 years year more like 1 and a half. I eat anything I want. Just can eat a lot which is great. I can eat a sandwhich if I eat slow. I do not eat salads. They fill me up to fast. I stay away from soft drinks. If I gain 2 pounds I can skip a meal & it goes away the next day. Love it. Just like Rootman said it is a lot easier.
  10. Somtimes but it is minor. I may take a over the counter pill maybe 3 times a week. I call it sour stomach.
  11. Funny. Like your NSV. I picked up a pair of jeans that were 34 inch waist. I looked at them & really wanted them but decide after looking at them I wasn't not that small yet. Walked out to the car & checked the size pants I was wearing...SIZE 34!! Went back & got them. Funny how our mind works. Keep them NSV coming.
  12. Not at all. Love the sleeve.
  13. 250..260..270..280..at 290. I no longer wanted to go outside. I was very unhappy but felt trapped. I knew I was going to die fat. Then the Dr OZ showed the sleeve on his TV show. 1 month later I was sleeved. Now 177.
  14. Spouse's think that we can just diet, we just need to try harder, just like every one else does. Very few people understand what it is like to be fat & need WLS. If you hear anything about WLS it is bad. Plus your spouse is scared for you. They think it is a big risk. They look up on the internet problems that could happen. My family was not on board with this & my wife & I had a big fight about it. BUT she came around when she saw the pain I was in. My family now knows what a blessing this was. My girls told me they were proud I had the WLS after they saw I was OK. I think the loved ones are more concerned because they love us. So once they see there world have not come to an end & life is better now they will come around. Good luck.
  15. Great stories. I am lucky I don't have any friends. I have been aked "if I was sick",or."I did not know it was you until I heard your voice. "( Do I sound like a mouse or something?) and other comments. But they are good. It's better than being fat. Lost 115 pounds. Blees you all for doing what's good for you.
  16. You are right. I am going through that too. You have cancer? Don't lose anymore weight. You OK? I don't mind. It is better than being the way I was 9 months ago. Skinny is fun. Buying clothes at regular stores. Not pigging out but feeling pig out after I eat. Life is good to us. Thanks for the post!
  17. Crossing my legs is a joy!!!
