On a lighter note.......my friends and I call the surgery..........the lap dance surgery LOLOLLLLLL......not that I'm looking for a change in my profession, I'm very happy as a First Grade Teacher. I am very open about my decision to have the surgery and I can not believe the positive reactions that I am getting from people. One of my friends has had a TON of success with the band. She was banded the day after Christmas and has lost 85 Lbs!!!!!!! I'm worried that she has had an extreme results with it and if I don't loose like that people will wonder what's wrong with me.!!!!! Two weeks from now I will be 2 days post op!!!!!

Soooooooooo, I'm getting banded on July 1 and was wondering how long I will need to stay out of my pool. Has anyone asked this yet? My Dr. said welllllll, maybe 7-10 days, depending on how you heal. I don't mean swimming laps, I mean hanging out, LOL. I'm a teacher so I will be home for the summer and I have a 7 year old who loves to swim. I'm hoping I heal up quiclky!

Nancy!! We're Band buddies!!! I'm the 1st too and we are the same age!!!! I'm so excited for it to be here already. I'm a teacher and I finish school on Tuesday the 28th and on Friday I go in to be banded!! So far it looks like I have the 7:30 am appt. I want to wake up and get it over with.

The only thing I have tried so far is the Isopure protein drink that is like a grape cystal light. I love those!! I'm going to head over to GNC this weekend and see what I can find. My nutritionist advised me that you get what you pay for and she doesn't sell anything from her office so her opinion is unbiased. She said that the higher price usually means better taste LOL!!! I'll let you know what I try and I'd love to hear what everyone else is trying!

Massmom, I don't have to do a pre-op diet either just fast from midnight the night before the surgery. But I do think I will start to experiment with Protein Shakes soon so I have one that I like.

I'm scheduled for July 1. I am getting really excited now. I was nervous in the beginning, now the nerves have calmed down but I'm sure they will start up again soon!!!

I'm scheduled for July 1 with Dr. Ewing out of Hackensack Medical Center!!! I totally can not wait!!!!
