  1. I was banded on 6/5/11, and I haven't had any complications. My weight loss has slowed down, but I haven't gained any either. I really don't even know I have the band until I eat chicken or some kind of other rubbery food that has trouble going down. Before my surgery and 10 day diet I weighed 347, not I am at 324. Like I said, me losing has slowed down, but I can admit, I haven't done my part. Exercising, Vegetables, etc. HoWEVER, I FEEL and LOOK GREAT!! So don't get discouraged. I just take it a pound at a time. So hopefully I can get these 24 pounds off in 6 months.

  2. I went for my 7 month weigh in, and I didn't loose a pound from the previous month. The Nurse said that's not too bad because I didn't gain a pound either, but I could have literally flipped that room upside down. She said to think of it as holiday fever. She also said they I may have reached my plateau. However...I admitted I haven't been drinking my 64 oz. of Water a day. That's a REAL problem for me. The doctor also said that I might not have lost pounds, but I may have lost inches. What's the difference? Does water play a major part in this? Could it have mad a difference in the scale if I menstruating that day? Reason I ask that...I've been weighing myself on the same scale at home for the past 7 months, and according to that scale...I lost 4 pounds since last month. HELP!!

  3. Before surgery, and 10 day dier, I weighed 357. I had my surgery June 9, 2011. After surgery, I weighed in at 346 pds. As of Novemeber 28, 2011, I went to have a fill. I weighed 329. I had lost 4 pounds in a month. I am very concerned because I am about to reach my 6 month mark, and I have only lost 17 to 20 pounds give or take. Other people say they can tell, but I swear....17/20 pounds is not alot to me. The reason I say 17/20 because the nurse said 20 since surgery based on her weigh ins. Hmmmmmm...what else can I do?

  4. I was banded 6 days ago, and everything is much better these last past 2 days. My nurse told me to do the clear liquid thing for about 2 days after post op, and then I could go to full liquids or blended for 2 weeks. However, I cheated, and I know this is wrong. I really didn't cheat with bad food, but I did try eating something solid and chewing it VERY VERY thourougly! However, I did notice I got full after only 4 ounces like I should.....so I stopped. I felt really guilty afterwards, and also miserable because I felt too full. I wonder did I put myself in danger, or am I ok if I go back to my liquids.

  5. Thanks so much you guys. It's glad to hear that I am not by myself. I haven't had the pain today, as of yet. Hopefully it will stay gone. My surgeon's nurse called today, and I told her what was going on. She also told me to try the chewable Gas-X. She also asked had I had a bowel movement, and I told her I went constantly on yesterday. She was a little concerened about the diaherra, but told me to make sure I keep myself hydrated. I think my body is get rid of all the bad toxins I use to put in my body. I guess it's trying to adjust to this new style of living. The only thing I am worried about is the loose skin. So everymorning I lift my 5 pound weight with each arm for 50 repts. I also tried going to the gym yesterday, and I did good with the weights, but that dog on treadmill. As soon as I got started there came the pain in the chest. SO I think I am going to build my strength back up. Good Luck to all.:D

  6. I had my surgery about 4 days ago, and for the 1st couple of days I was suffering from severe gas that gave me pain. I am pretty sure the gas is gone, and I am starting to feel normal again. However, I can be sitting there, and all of a sudden I get a severe pain in my chest like a golf ball is stuck there. This pain can last anywhere from 5 sec to 30 secs. I even wake up in the middle of the night with the same feeling. It sometimes feels like something is lodged, but I know it's not. Since I am only on liquids. If this pain could go away, I would feel fine. Can someone help me, because I don't think I am going to make it until my 2 week check up?
