  1. I quit 2 months before I had surgery. Quit 07/12/11 and had surgery on 09/02/11. I still crave a cigarette every day but it does get easier. Just tell yourself you can't smoke because you had surgery to improve your health and to quit smoking will even make you healthier. That's what I do anyway. I don't want to start smoking again because I know if I try to quit again I will have to go through what I've already conquered all over again...

The first few weeks are horrible or at least they were for me...:o

  2. 1 week after surgery I stalled and I was 4 weeks out on Friday. Finally, Saturday I stepped on the scale and was down 5 lbs., I stepped on it again this morning and lost another pound. I just had to step on it again this morning to make sure I was seeing right because the scale hadn't moved in 3 weeks. Hopefully I will continue to lose a while before another stall because that was really depressing. :o

  3. Ok, I don't feel so alone but it still is discouraging. I did my pre-op 2 week diet and everyday on the scale I saw the pounds drop, had my surgery and for a week I saw the pounds drop. Then all of a sudden...bam, nothing has been happening for 2 weeks. I can't wait for the pounds to start dropping again. I will let y'all know when they do and I would like to hear from other ones on here that have said they are in the same boat to let me know when they start losing again. Thanks

  4. Tomorrow I will be 3 weeks out from getting my sleeve. I lost 20lbs on my pre-op diet and 11 lbs since my surgery. The past two weeks I have stayed the same weight and I don't understand. So actually I stalled only 1 week out from surgery. Is there something wrong with me? Has anyone else have this happen? I hear about stalls at 3 weeks but I've never heard of someone stalling after just 1 week from surgery. Is there anything I can do to jumpstart me back into losing? I'm getting very discouraged and I don't like feeling this way.

  5. Thanks everyone for commenting. It's good to know I'm not the only one struggling. I was thinking it was only me. Well, I am now post op 4 days. I am feeling better but I am so tired of liquids. I keep thinking will this ever end. I think I am having head hunger because I know my stomach feels full but I would love to eat something wonderful. Hopefully soon I will feel better about having this surgery when I can actually chew food .

  6. That's funny Rootman, I have the same feelings, when I see commercials on the TV about food which is constantly I have to turn my head and look the other way. I also want to say you have done an excellent job on your weight loss. Everybody on this forum inspires me with their weight loss. I can't wait to be on the loser's bench. :P

  7. This pre-op diet is killing me. I started on Aug. 19th, and have had a headache ever since. I feel so tired and weak. It makes me second guess am I doing the right thing about having this surgery. Will this feeling pass in a few days or will this be how I feel permanently . I was thinking if I feel this way before surgery am I going to be weak, tired, and have headaches after surgery. I am on a 2 week pre-op with 2 Protein Shakes and 1 salad with chicken a day. Does anyone know why I can't have Diet Dr. Pepper on my pre-op diet? I guess I'm having withdrawals.

  8. Me and a long time friend are going to be sleeved in Mexico on the same day (09/02/11). We have been trying to be encouraging towards each other. We are not competitive with the weight loss. We are trying to encourage each other that we will have great results and we will make it through surgery and back home safe and sound.:D
