My First Incounter With You Took The Easy Way Out With Lap Band
Gotta love those people! It is definetly not the easy way. I use to blab about my surgery all the time. Now I only tell select few. People love to rain on your parade. Keep up the good work!

What Kind Of Job Do You Have?
I am a nurse. I took off 2 weeks and felt more than ready to go back. 4 weeks is a long time. Maybe for Gastric Bypass but not lapband. On that note, if you have 4 weeks of vacation, it might not be a bad thing but I would not exhaust all my vacation time for the band,

Fill Or Not To Fill ?!
Definetly don't sound like you need a fill. If its taking over 30 minutes to eat then that can hinder your weigh loss. How much Saline do you have in your band? Get a fill will cause reflux and more stuck episode. How much do you exercise? Increase that and see if the #'s change.

I Don't Want To Go To The Gym!! But No Work Means No Results!!
Find something you like to do. Nothing is more boring to me like walking on a treadmill. I found Jazzercise to be the key to my weightloss success. I look forward to going 4-5 times a week. Last year I joined a gym and particpated in all the classes. Zumba, cardio kickboxing ,cardio dance etc. I really enjoyed the classes and it kept me focus. Good luck!

Went To Macys Today And...
Way to go!!!! I use to wear 22-24's and 2X tops last year before my surgery. Now I am in a 16 pants and XL tops. I feels so good to be smaller and the clothes are definetly cutier in smaller sizes. I don't know why people feel like big people need to wear lots of big flowers and polka dots on there clothes. It also feels good not to buy pants with elastic in the waist!!!

Eating In Evening, Not In Morning
If your coughing and choking at night, then I think your band is too tight. Those are signs of a tight band. Definetly don't get a fill. You may need a slight unfill. Try to eat more solids. I got a .5 cc fill the other week and on the fence about getting a unfill. Before the fill, I could eat what I wanted.(but no weight loss) Now its a hit or miss. One day the chicken does down fine. The next day not so much. A lot of it has to do with me chewing well. I have a hard time with that and the band will let me know.

Help
I know what you are going through. I started out at 276 and have been bouncing between 222-226 for the past 4 months. It's because I am not as strict. I won't give up. Each day is a learning experience. My weakness is sweets. I have to battle the earge daily. Yesterday I failed but today I will conquer. Take on each day and don't focus on the whole picture. I have 1 month till my bandiversary and my goal is to lose 6 lbs. You can do it! Its hard but get back on the journey. You don't have to be perfect. Just put forth a little more effort.

Good Grief, I Gained 3Lbs Easter Weekend:(
So much for eating what I wanted over the holiday weekend. Back to the grind with perfect eating and tons of exercise to lose it. So not worth it the binge. Memorial day beware. You will not trip me up! Thanks for letting me vent.

Suffer With Pcos And Getting Lap Band Surgery
Good luck! Last year I joined a gym and attended several classes each week. I did zumba, cardiovascular dance and cardiovascular kickboxing along with walking. This year I joined Jazzercise and I am hooked! I love going and it doesn't seem like a chore. I go 4 days a week.

Suffer With Pcos And Getting Lap Band Surgery
I have pcos and was banded may 25,2011. I have lost 53lbs. So far it has helped my health. I only see a cardiologist yearly and my A1C went from 6.5 to 5.4. My bp is normal and I went from 22-24 to 16. It's been worth it but very hard. You still have to make good food choices and exercise a lot. If you don't then the weight will not come off. My nutritionist says I'm doing excellent because most pcos bandster lose an average of only 30lbs. I'm glad I didn't know this before surgery and I definetly beat the odds. Good luck! You can do it

Any Ladies Out There With Pcos? Banded Or In The Process?
I have pcos. I was banded may 2011 and weighed 276lbs period. Now I weigh 223. It's been a tough road but my doctor and nutritionist say I'm doing great. I exercise 4-5 days a week but right now I keep losing and gaining the same 5lbs. So frustrating. Good luck! Despite my plateau, I am very pleased. I went from wearing a 22-24 to a 16.

2 Years And Frusterated :(
I think you should cut the carbs and limit the latte's to 1-2 times a week because they have alot of calories. Also see a nutritionist. She helped me get on track because I was eating more than I thought I was. Keep your carbs under 100 grams per day. Don't eat anything more 10 grams of fat at one time, exercise and drink lots of water. I have PCOS and I am 10 months in and down 54lbs. I am losing at a snails pace because of my hormones. If you too tight, you won't loose because your body is starving. Also for me, the band doesn't always curb my appetite. I wish it did but it doesn't. Good luck and.get moving!

Vomiting
Why on earth would you let the lady at the front desk stop you from seeing the doctor? Is your doctor aware of what's going on? I feel that you band is too tight and if you could get the doc to give you a unfill, you will feel better. I really feel bad for you. Keep fighting to get what you need.Either way its gonna be expensive without insurance. Good luck and keep us posted.

Dare I Ask...
Anything in moderation. Have something small. It's not logical to think you will never eat sweets again. I eat something sweet 1-2 times a week. Make sure you exercise and burn the calories and make sure what you eat does not have alot calories. Good luck holding out.
