Go in today for my pre op appointment with my surgeon. I im excited to see how much weight I have lost on this 2 week pre op diet.

On Friday it was the fourth day of my liquid diet. I went to the hospital to get all my labs done and to weigh in. I got on the scale(fun...not) lol and to my surprise I dropped 10 pounds since Tues. . I was like damn! So far has not been to hard and once you see the results it makes it so much easier to go through. So don't ever say "I can't" or else you will never get started and see what can happen! Sassygirl09, My surgery is slated for the Fresno Kaiser and where is yours taken place.

BigSexxy, No I started my liquid diet on the second. I have my surgery on the 16th of this month. How did your surgery go?

I have my "date" for august 16th at the Fresno Kaiser. Started my 800 calorie pre op liquid diet today. The first day was not to bad. I had a ICV put into one of my veins to break up blood clots if any occur. This was the first time I have ever been in a operating room, I was scared food less! lol It was not so bad as time went on though. I have currently lost 66 pounds pre op from 489 to 423 since January. This forum is a great place to gather info and gain support! Ladies, That is so cool! Just started my 4th day of the liquid diet. No problems as of yet. I go in later today for my labs,ekg and a chest x-ray. I to would love to have something besides Protein shakes and Protein Bars but we must keep the big picture in our thoughts. Will keep the both of you in my prayers on the 16th. Hello, I have 11 more lbs. to loose before I can set my date to get sleeved. I have always been fearful of going under and not waking up. I have only been under once to have my wisdom teeth taken out and have never had any other surgery. Have any of the members had the same fear and if so how did you conquer it. Hello, This is my first post. I started off the process weighing 489. My surgeon at Kaiser, Fresno stated that he would set a surgery date as soon as I got down to 450. However, that I would have to have someting put in me to prevent blood clots and it might have to stay in there for the rest of my life. Then he advised that if i was to drop down to 415 lbs that the surgery would be much safer and would not need the device(do not recall what the name is). I am currently at at 426 lbs. I need just 11 more punds to go. The Doctors just to see that you are committed to this. I am so happy that I found this forum. Good luck! Kick ass and take names! Respectfully, Joe
