  1. I wish you all the best and congratulate you on your decision. what we have is only a tool- but a tool that WORKS if you use it. btw, i love powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein powder- the chocolate and vanilla are great! also, a good multi Vitamin is a must. lots of Water and PROTEIN! attached is a pic of me before- i have lost 36 lbs so far (my date was 7/20) and will post 3 month pics next month. i heard the same stuff from people- try not to take it personally- they just don't get it.

I have my surgery scheduled for Oct. 20th. I'm getting nervous about doing this. Everybody says, if you can do all the liquid diet for pre & post op, why can't you just stay on that and not have the surgery? If it was that simple, then I would have done it a long time ago. I tell them that I would gain the weight again. I feel likeI need this tool to help me from gaining the weight back. Now I need to find out what brand of Meal Replacements are the best. Wish me luck everyone.

  2. thanks so much!

No they dont slow down weight loss( have worked for hospital for 16 years) and 99% of us have stalls and have only lost a few pounds in a month doing the right thing. Its just part of this process and our body trying to adjust to a lower calorie intake and still recovering from surgery......Keep taking your BP meds because if you dont that can lead to stroke .......it will all come off in due time if you just follow the right eating habits and exercise program , be patient and good luck on your WL journey

  3. hi! i'm 2 months out and usually eat between 700-900 calories a day. i aim for 70g Protein and 64 oz fluids. i usually have to have 2 Protein Shakes to get all my grams in. i'm walking 3x a week and just added strength training in last week. i'm really frustrated- i only lost 5 lbs my second month  ... don't know what i'm doing wrong, but as of yesterday, i decided to cut back on the carbs and we'll see if that helps. thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences- it helps alot!

  4. hello! i take metoporol (sp?) for Migraine prevention- i do not, and never have had high blood pressure. my exercise gal said that beta blockers keep your resting heartbeat lower and it's harder to bring your heart rate up with exercise. i'm frustrated- i'm exercising and doing all the right things but lost only 5 lbs. my second month! so do blood pressure meds slow weight loss? help!:(

  6. hello there! i'm jennifer and i live in gold bar. i was sleeved 720/11 by dr. landerholm in edmonds. i've lost a total of 33 pounds but only lost 5 lbs last month- doing really well calorie-wise but frustrated with my progress...

    Hello All,

I am Krystle and I was sleeved on 8/25 by Dr. Shrikanth at the evergreen hospital in kirkland. I haven't really talked to anyone else from Washington on here. Everything is going great and I have as of today lost a total of 21 lbs. I am excited to meet new people from the same area.

  8. hi everyone! wasn't aware that this post was here and that there are so many july 20th sleevers out there! so i lost 11 lbs pre op(2 week diet) and have lost about 27 lbs total since 2 weeks prior to surgery. i'm a bit frustrated with my progress- haven't lost anything in over a week. but i've had almost no complications- outpatient surgery- didn't lose anything the first week post op due to the fluids they gave me- about 9 lbs worth!

it's challenging to get in all the Protein i need without Protein drinks, so i'm thinking i'll go back to 2 a day and cut down on the carbs i'm eating too. a challenge to get all the Water, too- but i'm probably getting an average of 50 oz a day. lemonade crystal lite is the )$#@!!

sending y'all good vibes and best wishes for fast but healthy weight loss!:D

  9. hi mini me! had my surgery done on wednesday and my post op yesterday for fluids- i'm doing great- so much less pain than i thougt and almost no nausea!!! yay!!!

MINIs are made by BMW so they are a little more expensive than similiar cars. You can go to www.MINIUSA.com and built one to your specs and see the exact price. You can e-mail the spec sheet to a Motoring Advisor (aka Salesman) and they can help you get just what you want.

My first car I chose very modestly and got a very nice convertible. My latest one is "dressed to the nines", but I got a good trade-in value, so that helped with my payment.

Keep me posted on your surgery!

  10. i will keep you updated! if i get a mini, it will have to be used- 26.5k is too rich for my blood! i didn't know they're made by bmw!
