  1. Hello fellow bansters!!

So recently I've noticed that sometimes my port area is sore. The way I would describe the soreness is equivilant to drinking 2 big glasses of Water and taking a jog immediately afterwards. Cramping is what it feels like. I really felt it after one of my workouts. And its so tender in my port area that I have a hard time standing straight up. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know what causes it? Thanks in advance for your answers.

  2. This is just a woohoo for me post ;) I had my first fill yesterday and I'm so excited! I was worried about not losing much weight post op because I had NO restriction with the band empty. I can already feel a difference and it's wonderful!! Go Me!! LOL

Thank you for posting this. I had my surgery last Wednesday and I feel no restrictions.... at all. I was really starting to get nervous!! My first fill is scheduled for 7.25.11. How many cc's did your doctor hook you up with?

  3. I had my surgery yesterday morning!Yesterday evening I finally had the urge to pee but couldnt! I can finally go but it takes a lot of concentration and a lot of time! Any suggestions?

I had the exact problem. I was banded on 6.22.11 and the day after it was 8pm and I had not tinkled all day. I called my surgeon and he suggested that I pour rubbing alcohol in the toliet. Apparently, the vapors from the alcohol pulls the urine out. At the time, I felt it was a bit odd, but I was desperate....I did it and it worked like a champ!!!!

Wishing you the best of luck!!!

  4. yes, thats almost how i think it felt also, or a cork screw being screwed in to your chest, i had my first stuck, then i threw up over and over, and slipped my band =( had surgery and now am back on my path !

Ask any question anywhere u want ! We are all at different places in our journey and all have good/indifferent advice !!! =)

Thank you so much for your response and the positive feedback!! I don't know if I've experienced that just yet, but I still have the gas pain, which at times can be unbearable!!

  5. Welcome to the site!

I know I'm not a mod... but I would like to ask you to use the SEARCH function in the forum. Being 'stuck' and having slime / PB episodes have been thoroughly discussed in the forum. This way, I think, we'll have all the information streamlined...and not scattered everywhere.

P.S. I think this is one of the things you should have learned BEFORE having your surgery.

    Wheelchair....

Your a disgruntal bully.... from here on out do not answer any of my questions which you didn't in the first place!! Grow up, get a life....get on my level degenerate.

  7. Thank you for welcoming me. My surgery is around the corner. Scheduled for June 22nd. I'm currently on the Optifast liquid diet per my surgeon's request. This is a challenge within itself. Yesterday was the first day of the diet and I was beyond irritable!! I guess that's me detoxing....the 2nd day has been a lot better. I hope I have the strength to make it to day 14 on this stuff....any suggestions?
