  1. Hi, to all my other May sleevers out there. So everyone should be at or close to their two months surgiversary. Congratualtions!!! I hope everyone is doing well and on the right track to feeling back to normal. I just wanted to post this so everyone could share their own update and also any down falls they have had. We are all new to the process and can share in the new sleeve experience together. I have been keeping a pretty detailed blog, 1 monthly, of my stats including weight loss, sizes, inches and personal notes if anyone is looking for more information. So good news I am 10 weeks out and down 41lbs. Yippee!! Can't wait to see what another two months will bring.I am attaching a pic from back in January at my heaviest of aroun 273lbs. My best friend and I were on our way back from the chili bowl and oh my do I look horrible. I am sure I can show a better pic of me, but this is a full body shot I found which is rare. Plus I dont want to disguise how big I really was. The second pic is just of last week before going out with friends. 40+ lbs. makes a differnce.

  2. Great post! Just remember everyone loses so differently. Plus I've read how two people can be the same weight and be 6 sizes apart from each other. It is crazy and most often feel it is oddly unfair. You will see the results soon. I hear once out of plus sizes the size change dramatically will just a few pounds. So you could think of this as a positive that you still have clothes to wear for now because soon you won't be able to keep your pants up from what I hear. Good luck and btw you are doing fantastic!!

  3. I love reading this post. I am glad everyone can be honest enough and share even if they don't agree with the rest. I am just over two months out and I just don't crave fast food like I did before. Before it was almost a daily thing, sometimes even twice a day especially late nite after work to just swing by Mc'Ds was quick fast and easy. I will admit I have stopped for food at wendy's twice. Once during mushy stages and got the chili it was great. Also, recently for Breakfast I got the egg n' sausage burrito from the $1. Peel the tortilla and ate the insides. It was great. I think as long as you are consicious about making better choices and not overeating in the end you will be just fine. It is very apparent everyone on here made the better choice not including or limiting fries, no sugar, no bread/less carb versions of what they wanted. For me it was the everyday or several times a week habit with 2 mcdoubles, a mcchicken, of course fries and a large drink, oh and maybe an apple pie if I felt I deserved it after work that got me so big. Not the occasion piece of chx and lettuce. Congrats to all of you out there living your lives. We didn't make this choice to change who we are and stop living, but to better ourselves and become heathier verisions of us.

    Hell yea to the sleeve!!!

Please like my comment if you agree, Thx

  4. Hello,

Crossing from San Diego into Mexico takes no time at all. You should be picked up by your driver earlier in the morning and drove across to the hospital. There may have been a small line, but there was really no waiting. On the way back you are scheduled to leave pretty early before your flight home. A driver will pick you up a few hours before your flight. They say it can take anywhere from 30 to 2 hours. I believe it took us 1 hour of sitting in line to get through the boarder. We were picked up just before 7 and across the boarder around 8. However, you won't be bored. There are tons of things to look at. There are people all over the street selling news papers and jewelery. All kinds of odds and end from bubble gum to huge ceramic vases and virgin mary statues. Crazy, lol. It offered some entertainment though. Plus your driver will speak great english so its not going to be akward or anything. Plus once you get closer to the border there are huge tv screens and a bunch more people trying to serve Breakfast burritos. I promise the wait will seem short with the culture shock you'll be having. It was more fun than anything. Congratulations on your date, good luck!!!

  5. I understand how scary it can be to be going there and not have anyone. I just wanted to let you know that you will be fine. Even if you don't end up finding another person going down there the same time as you the staff there will make sure you are taken care of just great. Don't let this be a worry in your mind of things that you should be worrying about. Take care and good luck your day is soon to be here!

  6. I noticed this post earlier, but didn't want to respond with out having an informed response. I was hoping that someone from dr. aceves office would have responded. However, I do not think at all that there will be any problems. I am sure they are well aware of different types of sexual orientation down there too. Have fun and I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck, your date is coming up soon!!

  7. Hi kansasgirl,

There are different site because each coordinator creates their own to create their own business. I too went through successfullyslimmer and had Christi as a coordinator. She is fantastic and always has the answers to my questions or will point me in the right direction to find them. The prices and people dealing with the surgery are all the same. Christi was fast to get me the information I needed and still checks up on me. Plus she even sent a small gift package before surgery full of great little forget-me-nots for my trip. I would reccommend her any day. Congratulations with your decision and feel free to contact me any time if you have any questions.

  8. Alittle too over drastic with my fourth of July goal. I missed by 9 lbs. However. I still feel I can do this and set my goal within reach. This goal gives me 9 weeks at a rate of 2.44 lbs. a week.

    SN..............Starting Wt. 7/5/11........Current.......Goal 9/5/11.......Lbs to Goal

    Nichelle..........238................................238...............216......................22 lbs.
