I have actually been working through the *** hoops for 9 months!!! Since I got Authorization it has gone really fast!!!!!!!!

I am right there with you on June 16th and am in the same "mode" as you are!! I tried the Isopure Apple Melon (yum and tart), the Grape, and some Blue Raspberry! All so far are very good so far as I too anticipate needing a break from the milky consistences. I went to costco today and got the Premier Protein ready to drink and some vanilla Protein powder made by Muscle Milk. Both at Costco and much less expensive than GNC but no fancy flavors. Just Vanilla and chocolate. Anyway I have not tried the Isopure Powder, just the bottled ready to drink ones!! Happy Protein Hunting!!! And good luck next week!!

Yes, I agree with you! I met my doctor today for the first time and was so impressed and comfortable! My only real concern that I shared with him is the "erosion" of the band into the stomach wall. He told me he has not seen that happen yet with the FDA approved bands. He has taken out 4 on people who had bands placed in Mexico. He said he couldn't even recognize the devices that were being used down there. Scary!! "I have never seen anything like them", he said. Anyway, good luck with your first fill!!! I am sure it will take away that hunger ).

I went today to meet my surgeon. I really love him! He spent an hour with me and we talked about all of the options, where I was at with my thinking, etc. I am officially on the road towards my Lap Band placement. Now I need to do a bunch of "pre op" tests including a Upper GI series next week. I am also going to a mandatory nutrition class tomorrow morning too! Everything seems to be falling into place and now I am hopeful for a July surgery date!! I am looking forward to getting to know this site better and better since there is some great stuff here!!

I had to go 6 months then have a psych eval. I called it all the *** hoops but I am actually grateful because I got a lot of information that I think will only help use the Lap Band to it's full potential. Be patient, it goes fast!!

So tomorrow I finally get to meet and get my consultation with my doctor. I thought getting that letter of Authorization would be the best day but I am so excited about tomorrow!! I am worried that I might jump up and down right in front of him (at least he will be convinced that I am there for the right reason after that show!!) Anyway, I am round in the middle like a big Apple (therefore my screen name). I am very appreciative of this site already and look forward to taking this journey with so many of you!!

Hi, this is my first entry here on LapBandTalk! I am welcoming June because this week, I finally get to meet and have my consultation for my Band!! I look forward to getting much needed support and advice from this forum!!
