I am 1 month post-op (VSG). Try Celestial Seasonings Wellness Tea (Echinacea Complete Care) it totally knocked my cold/sore throat out. You can follow with Vitamin C. The great news it is also totally & naturally decaffeinated.

Hey, Charley! I am actually doing great! (Thanks for asking). I hit the 50# mark last week (a few days shy of one month). I have tapered off of the large chunks of pounds and have now (according to the particular scale that I have) lost chunks of body fat (its one of those scales that somehow calculates this as you stand on metal stips on the scale itself). Feeling good. Sleeping great (the best in 4-5 years). How are you?

Any suggestions that aren't Scrambled Eggs, Refried Beans or Potted Meat & has protein? I know there are some creative people out there. I have read many of your blogs/posts. I can't wait for the next phase. 2 more weeks for me. :biggrin2:

Thanks. I'm glad to know there are others in the Houston area on this forum. I live in Jersey Village area & had my surgery in Cypress at the new hospital there. It sounds like we have the same thing going on with clothing. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to get past the "soft food" phase. I was tolerating liquids and now finding it difficult to stomach soft foods with protein (scrambled eggs, potted meat, & refried beans). Still searching for more options.
