How wonderful! To dare to dream of a new life is one thing, but to actually take the courageous step toward one is tremendous! Congrats and see you on the other side!!!

I set my Protein intake goal at 60, my carb intake at 60, I ignore the fat grams and sugar intake. I set my calorie goal at 800, I also measure my inches and weight.

Your stomach is smaller because it is healing and is swollen, at around 6 weeks I am told you will be able to get in about 3-4 oz if you aren't already. I'll be 4 weeks Friday and I can comfortably get in a little over 2 oz. If you seriously can only eat 2 bites I'd call the doc because that seems a bit too small.

I had the same thing happen to me. I am not too worried, but if you are bleeding excessively I'd call the doc asap.

I'm the same way I posted a status about how horrible I did, but I really didn't do too bad! Its just guilt, I swear! I am in a stall and I'm ok with it, week 3-4 now and I was losing so much I'm glad I'm leveling off a bit before I lose again! Good luck!

I have to mention that you only qualify for FMLA if you have been there over a year. I'd wait til June! Good luck!

I agree, a call to the doc won't hurt

The preparation is the most difficult part, getting insurance approval, pre-op diet and then it gets a little easier. The surgery experience itself is individual. The worst part for me was the first 24 hours, after that, day by day it got better. I learn something new about myself daily. This is much more of a mental game and your relationship with food than following a "diet". You can do it if you put your mind to it! I am happy with my decision! Good luck!

From what I understand it could be from dehydration and not walking enough. Try both and see if it goes down. A fellow sleever had it too and it went away. He had his surgery the day before me.
-
I know veteran sleevers who measure everything and don't go over 5-6 oz at each meal, but they do several small meals. Personally I am 3 weeks out and can only do 2 oz. -
You did get hit by a bus! They didn't tell you that happened while you were out?? lol, well it gets much better after about 5-6 days you begin to feel a little normal. I am 3 weeks out and some days are better than others with the gas and the incision pain, the one where the stomach comes out still gets me sometimes!! Pain meds, gas x, and prevacid are your friends right now, use them! Good luck!

My post op diet says that I should be eating 3-4 oz of food, but honestly I maybe can stomach about 2 oz before getting full. Listen to your stomach and as Laura said, just make sure you eat slowly and chew. I've definitely already learned my lesson on that one. It is the hardest thing for me to do as well.

No you're on the right track! I need to make a formal goal list. I have goals in my mind both weight and NSV's like getting in my Protein everyday or being confident in a bathing suit, but need to write them down! Congrats on hitting your first goal. The .4 will be off in the next day or two! lol!

Im 3 weeks out and learned my lesson today on overeating, I'm thinking I may end up being just like you and staying away completely. May switch back to liquids again for a bit.

right now I do greek yogurt in the morning, Protein Shake as a snack, I usually do a left over from the night prior usually chicken or fish and a veggie of some sort, then make a new similar dish for dinner. I also thought about picking up a decent Protein Bar for when I'm on the go, but not quite there yet.

lol, welcome to the club, I call it my "butt in the front", its all good, I'm planning on paying for a Tummy Tuck once all the weight is gone. It will get rid of my butt in the front, stretch marks and scars in one surgery
