Yes I know...I'm a little late on posting...I was out of town on my 5 month surgiversary so I am posting now...I will admit, this has been one heck of a ride..Expecially the first month or two...That was the hardest. But it has all been well worth it..I have a ton of NSV's. I feel SOOO much better and my confidence has sky rocketed. I had the worst self esteem ever prior to surgery and I wouldn't say it is great now but it is a heck of a lot better. I am getting frustrated with the hair loss and can't wait for it to stop. My nutritionist says it is the worst between months 3-6. So I am hoping it will slow down soon as I have lost over half.
I am currently down 81 pounds..I have went from a size 20 in jeans and a 3x shirt to a size 12 in jeans and a size xl shirt...Hoping to lose 19 more pounds...

Wow...I feel a little better knowing that I am not the only one going through this...I feel for all of you who are experiencing the emotions I have...I lost a pound everyday for the first two weeks and now I have stalled for a week now. I have been very upset because I remembered reading where most people lose between 20-35 pounds the first month and it doesn't look like I am going to hit that. I was praying for 25 pounds in the first month but that is not going to happen unless I wake up and lose 3 pounds in a day... I know I need to get moving more and I need to drink some milk of magnesia...I definitely think those two things might help me break my stall...We will see. Good luck to everyone who is going through these stalls...They are really upsetting... I told my family--if I am going to be suffering like this--that scale better move!

Man do I know how you feel...I had surgery on January 10th and I was in the hospital for the first week. I went home one night and ended up right back the next day due to dehydration.. I am just now at almost 4 weeks starting to feel normal again... I still wish I could just indulge in a big plate of food but I do feel a lot better about the surgery now that I don't feel so terrible. For the first 3 weeks, I didn't feel like doing ANYTHING! I was weak, and felt pretty lazy. I really think it will get better. Wishing you the best of luck...
I even asked for a 2 week extension for STD. I am not going back to work until next week.

Wow...All of our diets are so different...I was able to start mushies after week 2 but I am not allowed any meet or fish. I can start fish at week 4 and chicken at week 5. I am also allowed whole wheat crackers and 1/2 slice of whole wheat bread with Peanut Butter or fat free cheese. HOWEVER, I have stalled for a week now since I have been on mushies (and they have made me constipated--TMI)... I am very upset because I do not feel like I should be stalling this early in the game.. I have cut back to two shakes a day and 2-3 Snacks since I was unable to get my Protein in...This is definitely a full time job. Congrats on your loss... I have lost 35 all together but only 15 of that is since surgery (the same day as you).

Just checking back in.... I only made it one night at home and became dehydrated so I am back in the hospital... Sure hoping things turn around soon... This is very tough... No one really understands why it is difficult to drink so
Much... I hope all of my sleeve sisters are having a better time!!! I still do not have actual pain.... Curvy diva, I hope your pain goes away soon... I'm rooting for you! Good luck everyone!

I was also sleeved om January 10th..I have had somewhat of a rough time...I can't get all of my fluids in but I am definitely focusing on the Water first. I haven
t had pain meds in a few days. But I will say, this has been very hard...I'm definitely still in the "Buyers Remorse" stage and can't wait to get past that. I just want to feel somewhat normal again. I didn't gain any weight in the hospital for some reason (probably because of the fluids)....I feel horrible right about now and was wondering if anyone could give some insight on when this will get better. Thanks everyone and good luck on your journeys!

I am currently doing the pre-op diet and I feel you, it is hard...But my whole mindset has changed. Normally if I was on a diet and got this hungry, I would run out and grab a combo and forget about the diet but for some reason my mind has finally changed. I see the light at the end of the tunnel and I'm ready...I am on day 9 or the pre op diet and it does get easier each day....I have lost 7 pounds so far so that is good too. Less weight I have to lose post op! Good luck and I will be rooting for you!

OMG!!! I LOVE this thread!!! I have what we call a "FAT CAT" and I so want it to slim down...It has always been "thicker" than normal though, even when I was skinny so I'm not sure that it is going to get very small but I'm hopeful! As far as the boobs, I am currently a 44F and I'm hoping I don't get any lower than a D, which I doubt I will. My biggest concern is losing my butt. I so do not want to go back to a flat butt...The men I like, like big butts and I have always had a flat but when I was thin...It thickened with the weight but I am scared it will either flatten out or hang...I'm so ready to lose weight but scared of what I am going to look like later too:(

@ Patti---yes i have had the same problem with the bb area. i was able to clean it and use neosporin on it a couple times a day and it went away on its own. you have to keep the moisture out of your belly button. when you get out of the shower, make sure you dry it good. if you wear an undergarment--try to keep it dry.
@ Ericka---I have Body Magics! I actually sell them. They are more expensive and not as comfortable but I would have to say that they do more for your body than anything else. They give you a coca cola figure, raise the booty, raise the breasts, straighten the back and posture, put your stomach bach up where it belongs and people lose weight JUST from wearing it. You can't eat quite as much while wearing it.

Just like the others said...That is amazing!!! You have definitely worked hard to get here and completely deserve it! Congrats!!!

Me and my friend went through the same thing...I sent my money to sandy (so i had no problem getting it back) and my friend sent her money to Trish through paypal. First of all, Trish was not supposed to be doing business with us directly because they were under contract with sandy--but she was going behind sandys back and getting money from the patients directly. Second--when it was time for my friend to get her money back--she went through hell. BUT I think the paypal thing saved her because if Trish wouldn't have finally returned the money--she would have disputed it through paypal. Trish ended up taking some of the money EVEN THOUGH according to the contract--she cancelled well within the time limit to get a full refund (over a month before surgery). I really hope you get your money back! I honestly felt like she didn't have great morals....But constantly talked about how Christian she was...That was all I heard. Once again--just my opinion and my friends experience.

I totally know the feeling! For some reason I am so obsessed with surgery right now, it feels like it won't happen. I don't know why but it feels like the surgery is never going to get here or something will happen to start me all over again... I'm having to do the 6 month diet so YES--it feels like eternity!

Very inspiring!!!! I admire you!

They usually tell you that because truthfully I think the bypass is more successful with a large amount of weightloss. I think it should ultimately be up to you. But I will tell you that a lot of drs do feel that the bypass is more reliable and more successful. I see a lot of success stories on here though so I have a slightly different opinion.

WOW!!!! That is GREAT! Can I ask?? How did you lose that much?? I wanna know the tricks so I can learn from everyone else's successes!
