  1. Hey everyone~ Juli~ I'll email you my cell number. We leave next Friday!!! Can't wait. I am getting sooo much done to the house this past week. For the last 2 days, I've had 3 different crews here, and today, I am down to 2 crews. We got the house painted (exterior), carpet in one room, acoustic removed from 2 rooms, master will be painted today, 2 new doors, 1 new screen...I am sure there is more. My poor little check book. I had to sleep on the couch last night, and might have to tonight as well; needless to say, I feel like a zombie. But it will be so nice to have it done and then go to ptown!!!!! Last thing will be new windows when they come in!!!! Have a great day. Oh yeah, i've been doing sooo good since my fill. I feel so skinny (skinny at 260, but skinny all the same). peaceout xoxoxox
  2. Sara~ OMG...I am so glad to see you post, but I am so sorry to hear your news. I can't begin to believe what you've been through. Don't worry about the band stuff...hell, you have some serious stuff to worry about. So, Dave is ok? Not walking? Glad to hear he is positive, especially for the career. You share w/ us what you want on your time. I can only imagine your world is all over the place. Your very lucky to have a wonderful family, and that is the most important thing now. Please know that the violets are here for you, in any capacity you want. I know I speak for the group when I say, we are just glad to see you back! xoxox
  3. Sara...I see you lurking. WE MISS YOU HONEY! HOPE YOUR WELL. XOXO
  4. Evening Violets~ I am having a hell of a time w/ the hair loss too. In late June, I cut it from down my back to shoulder length just to freshen it up. I lose bunches when I brush it and wash it. I take 5 mg of Biotin, which I don't think it is helping, but my nails grow very strong. I started noticing the hair loss about 6 weeks post op. I do meet the protein daily, and as you all know, I've only lost 19-23 pounds since surgery. I totally quit drinking carbonated soda and no fast food, but other than that, I've eaten anything (especially before the fill). I am just trying to deal w/ it the best I can. I've always had fine hair, so I don't have lots of extra to lose. I try not to blow dry it or mess w/ it much during the day. If I lost weight, like I lost hair, I'd be one skinny minny! House update: ITS PAINTED!!! Looks amazing outside. The bedroom is a mess now, and I'll be camping on the couch (good thing because I can't shut the front door all the way, long story). Best part is Susanne comes home tomorrow, and then I will feel better about it all. I had 11 workers here today...that is alot. My friend even came over to sit here when I ran to attorney. The new windows will be in some time, and I am hoping before we leave for the Cape next Friday! If not, it will be after, and that is fine w/ me too. Thanks to all of you for listening. I have to take some pix. Went to dinner tonight and had 2 skinny pieces of pizza w/ my brother and his 3 kids. He and his gf are separating, so it was nice to see the kids. I only ate 2 small pieces, and I am stuffed like turkey dinner...the band is working. No gym tomorrow, but back on Saturday! Have a great night all.
  5. Ok...my update. (skip ahead if this is too boring for you...sorry, this is my vent place) Today the exterior is starting to get painted!!! That feels great. The damn door guy is here again (this is the 3rd day to hang 2 doors and a screen). He is a nice guy, but seems a little on the "rides the short bus" side. He said today should only be 1 hour...I'll let you all know (I am sure your all waiting w/ baited breath). The acoustic removal guy (who did NOT show yesterday) said he'd be here at 7:30, and it is now 7:40. I CAN'T STAND THIS SHIT. (sorry for all the tender ears out there...but this is killing me). I just hope he shows up at all. I told him yesterday, "I am gonna tell Santa Claus to get you a watch for Christmas". (you can take the teacher out of the classroom, but not the classroom out of the teacher). Other than that, I did not go to the gym today. I planned it that way. I really am trying to break my plateau before Cape Cod...anything more than -23. So I will work out for 2 days, 2 days off, and continue w/ that. Ok, he is here...20 min late, not too bad. Check in later. xoxo
  6. Good Morning Violets~ Tracy~ to say the ring is beautiful is an understatement. It is spectacular and represents all the good things you have coming to you! You will georgous wearing that ring! Congrats and God Bless! Denise~ Congrats on your NSV. It is great to feel sexy! Watch and see how many more times that happens...when it rains it pours baby! Terry, Schexy, Haydee, and Josie~ WOW WOW WOW...you all look great! I am sooo glad you got a pic. We can print that out and draw in the rest of us. How fun and exciting that you all met. You'd NEVER know you all are connected w/ a weight loss site. Judy~ Now, officially, all is right in the world. Welcome home we missed you and are looking forward to hearing about your trip! Terry~ Holy Crap...190...I'd be at goal around 190! Good for you!xoxo Kat~ Now I really want bacon! LOL, enjoy your day w/ your grand daughter. Gonna post this now, so I don't lose the personals.

I met my partner on a website. sexsearch.com We've been together for 2 1/2 years. Not for everyone, but it worked for us! Good luck. PS:plenty of people like the plus size women:)
  8. Update: Well the acoustic removal guy is not coming today, so I have to move the painter until Friday. I am so freaking pissed, I started crying (well, teared up). I am sorry, but how do you feed your family w/ this kind of work ethic. He said, "ooo Pamela, I am so sorry, I thought we said Thursday." I have an appointment w/ my attorney on thursday and this just f's up everything. I can't stand this. I just don't roll this way. Sorry to vent here, but Susanne's answer is to call the better Business Beaurau...(sp), well, then I don't get the work done either. Shit, going back to work is looking good about now.
  9. Morning Violets~ Still waiting for the pictures:) I just got home from the gym, and I did 4 miles on the bike! Plus 140 crunches, arms, and back. I needed to workout...I have a long day ahead of me. I have the carpet guys coming to do the closet (remember, this is the largest room in the whole house); the acoustic removed from the master bedroom; the idiot who did the doors ALL day long yesterday has to come back to finish the door from the kitchen to the garage; and as if all that wasn't enough, I have the exterior painter coming today to start the prep work and pressure wash the house. I have to be in the back yard w/ my rottie (140 lbs) when the guys are out there...and he loves water, so I am sure he is gonna be in their way. I slept so bad, just nervous about all this work today. And worse, I have to sleep on the couch tonight, because my room will smell really bad:( I don't mean to complain, but I am just freaking out today. One thing I've learned is that construction people do not have the same "time" ethic as I do (teachers CAN NOT be later...period). They say 8...that is just a relative number...could be 9. It makes me crazy. I just need to remember is that is should all or nearly be done next week when we go to Cape Cod. After that vacation, I want to sit on my ass until I have to go back to work. Have a great day Violets. Tracy, your dd is adorable! I'll check in later...send me patience PLEASE!
  10. oooooo Tracy, that place looks great. Either way in March it will be beautiful. I am so excited for you!
  11. Hi Everyone~ Just wanted to pop in and say "What up?" I am home getting a new door, and some new lights. Then tomorrow is new carpet in one room (the closet) and acoustic removal in the master (paint latter this week). Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying their week. I've lost 3 or 4 pounds since my fill (love it). Now if I could just make better choices, that would be great! TTFN xoxox
  12. Morning Violets~ Michelle~ Congrats on the the -6!!! I just want to break through the -23 I had right after surgery. I am impressed...-40, that is awesome. I hope (hope hope hope) I can get there too. Well, I just got home from the gym and at 6:55am, I met the door guy in my driveway. He couldn't come yesterday (neither could the contractor, so he'll be here about 8 today too). It is gonna be 110 today and I don't have a front door for now. But it will be nice when it is all over. Then tomorrow, I will be here all day, getting new carpet in the closet and getting the acoustic removed in the master (my poor little checkbook). And then since Susanne is gone, I am gonna pay a painter to paint the master (can't wait, going w/ a subtle lavender). I had a skinny day, then I seemed to graze all day yesterday, but still didn't do too bad. Ready for this, last week (Mon) I was 263 or 262 (don't really remember) on the scale at the gym. This morning, I was 259 at the gym!!! I guess the fill is working! Still need to break through the -23 pounds. Since I started at 280, -3 more will break through...time to change the ticker (almost). LOL, I crack myself up. I am soooo excited for those meeting tonight. Have fun and take pix please. You have sooo many violets waiting for your updates. Again Tracy~ Congrats baby...I know your floating on air! Laura~ We still love you, just miss you. Keep posting. I know a honeymoon can distract you from what is really important (the violets). Don't worry about not doing as well as everyone else. Me either...but I can't deny how healthy and great I feel, regardless of the number on the scale. Ok...sorry for the long post. I am gonna do some of this:ranger: and play my scrabble. Also, I must confess I am a Big Brother fan (reality show on CBS). So I have to check in there. I guess I could do homework, but what fun is that???? xoxoxo Have a great day Violets!!! ps- Denise I have been stuck 3 really bad times since my fill. I have to "re-learn" to follow the band rules because I was able to eat anything for the longest time. Remember, WWJD! (hope she is having fun)
  13. Hey BB fans~ I am watching that Showtime stuff now (love DVR) and I am hating Evil so much. He thinks he is God. I swear I wanna smack him. Is it me or is this the white trailor trash season???? Amber, Evil, Dani and Jen are so white trash to me. So is Kail (backward ass Bible thumper) aarrggg~
  14. Go to Amazon and order some Meditation for Beginners. I am continuing my counceling and that is helpful. I do know "getting to know the new me" is a long journey, I am sort of impatient too, so it is hard. Meditation helps!!
  15. Tracy~ OMG...OMG...OMG...Doing the happy dance now! I am so happy for you! That is amazing! Congrats, and I am looking forward to the pix and the details unfolding. But please don't be like Laura, get married and not need your violets anymore . We love you and are so excited for you!!!! Well, today I am off to a pissy start. I didn't go to the gym because I stayed up too late, had to be home for the door guy...well...guess who just called and said he is not gonna be here until 10! While I was waiting I called the contractor and he said he'd be here in an hour or so. Basically, I think I am just tired today. On a good note, I am feeling skinny!!!!!!!!!! You know those skinny days? I love it. Yesterday, my friend (the one whose wall we painted) took me to lunch and a movie for my birthday! I ordered the Cobb salad...still have 1/2 of it in fridge. That is all I ate all day yesterday, 1/2 a Cobb and some chips w/ the ceiling and 3 or 4 bottles of water, can't remember. SOOOOOO...skinny day for me. If I have the other half of salad (lots of protein in there) and maybe some beans later, I should have another skinny day tomorrow! I love it. I will weigh in at the gym tomorrow! Last Monday, I was 261 at the gym...so cross your fingers ladies, PLEASE. I want to be down sooo bad. The most I've lost since surgery is 23 pounds, and @ 261 I am up 4...lol. My starting weight is the day I picked up my preop diet, 280. That is what I am sticking to. I am down 2 sizes...love that. I just want to break this plateau thing and get back to -23...and beyond. PLEASE SEND ME SKINNY THOUGHTS FOR THE SCALE TOMORROW! Thanks violets, I always knew I could count on you! Judy~ have fun on your "girls time". Terry~ I'll be thinking of more books. I did not read Poisonwood Bible (although my dad highly recommended it), but I did read the one by Barbara Kingsolver (sp) about Pigs (can't remember the name) but that was years ago. peaceout
  16. Hey Violets~ I just got in from helping my friend paint her wall...maroon red. My living room is fire engine red (just 2 walls) and she wanted a similar color. I am bushed. We did her first coat, and then I had to go. Didn't want to miss Army Wives (it is 10 pm here). Anyway, I am pooped. Favorite books...hummmmm, good question. YaYas (for sure #1) Way of the Peaceful Warior (movie just came to dvd, can't wait to see it) Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry (youth chapter book) There are so many others. I've been in school, working on Master's and Doctorate since 1997...so I have read little "good ones". I too am a book collector. I have a georgous library w/ floor to ceiling built-ins. I love books (wish I started collecting something smaller). Anyway, I will think of more fav's...there are sooo many. Have a great night~
  17. Morning Violets~ Well, after 2 weeks together, Susanne is gone:(:car:. If we didn't have so much fun together when we are together, it wouldn't hurt so much when she leaves. I am sad and will be until Friday when I see her again. This sucks so bad, and I am really looking forward to her retirement. But until then...:car:. Friday morning I was going to post and ask a question about restriction. I had my fill on Wed. and was on liquids and softs and wasn't feeling any thing. Yesterday, my MIL was here and we went out to breakfast. I ordered scram eggs and cottage cheese, and whole wheat toast. I was doing great then BAM I was sooo stuck in a resturaunt!!! I had to get up and walk. I have never, ever ever, felt that. I thought I had felt the "golfball"...but NOOOOO. I had to go to bathroom and jump up and down. Then for lunch, my MIL made pork loin and German noodles (soooo good). I made a very small plate and got stuck again on the meat. That one was bad. Felt the sharp pain in my heart too. So for the first time since I've been banded, I actually know that I have the band. IT IS IN THERE, REMINDING ME. WWJD and the rules all come to light. I have not really worked the band because I never had restriction and never knew what the real deal was. NOW I KNOW. So, back to the gym tomorrow, and bandster rules review (I have them somewhere). Smaller bites...etc. Interestingly, yesterday, when I made my "small plate", I was sad that it didn't look like everyone elses. Soooo that tells me I am still dealing with the food issues. Judy's mantra comes to mind..."it is not about the food". Judy~Congrats on the nearly 50 pound loss...truly amazing. You've worked your butt off and I am very proud of you. Terry~ Go shopping! Golf is so boring on TV (pretty fun in real life). Go spend some of his money. Tracy and Jen~ Any pix? I hope you all had a great Saturday. Michelle~ The Harry Potter thing sounds sooo fun. I am like Terry. I read the first 100 pages in the first book. They were on the platform looking for something like gate 12 and 1/2 (something like that). After that I just lost interest. My favorite genre is southern fiction w/ strong female characters (think YaYa's). Terry~ I am reading the Magician's Assistant by Ann Patchett now. I am also reading The Secret Lives of Bees and I have that Ali's daughter's book (lapband) on the table too. I like the Magician's Assistant alot, just about 40 pages into it, but so far it is great. I like the way the author writes. But I have been too freaking busy to read this week, but the closet is looking great. Haydee~ My sky looks like yours in that pix you posted...I love it. Maybe I'll get some reading in today! Have a great day violets~
  18. ;)Hey Violets~ Judy, I saw Tammy Faye on the LKL show...wow. About 6 or 7 years ago, my mom and I sat right across from her at this great resturaunt, Billy Reeds. Mom and I didn't say a word the entire meal and we were leaning towards our right to eavesdrop on their conversations. She was w/ her husband and another man, and it was right after she did some episodes on the Drew Carry Show. Remember, she played Mimi Bobeck's mom. She was talking about the show. I wish her remaining time is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Terry, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. If her father is still in such a state, she should request valuim, or something of the like. While I took care of my mother, I also took care of her father, who had alzeheimers. We would give him 1 mg of Ativan and it took the edge off somewhat w/ his confussion. I've lived through the "take me home" and "where am I" for years. Somedays it was "1 Ativan for you, 2 for me..." just kidding;). I have lived through that type of stress. I was in bad shape, and put on a great deal of weight...while I smoked...and earned a Master's degree and my doctorate degree. I used to pray (yes, I am Catholic and VERY spiritual) for peace. I only wanted peace...I lived w/ such insane nervousness. My heart broke when I heard her story... OK...got the MIL this weekend...I love her. I made a great dinner tonight... chicken ravioli in a garlic, onion, and sweet tomatoes in olive oil...man o man...great. I only had a few, but it was great! Hope everyone have a great night. TTFN Tracy and Jen~ have fun tomorrow...take pix so we can see how hawt you are!
  19. Morning Family~ Just wanted to pop on and say hello. We have been doing many many projects around the house, painting etc...I am pooped out. Susanne is vaccuuming now, I don't know where she gets the energy. Hope everyone is doing well. Juli, have a great weekend w/ GF. Everyone else, have a great day/weekend too! xoxo
  20. I know, I am loving this. I meant to post this the other day. Try Big Brother Chatter for lots of infomation. I click on updates. My LBT BB fans will love it~
  21. Good Morning Violets~ So much to say, gotta say it fast before I forget. Haydee~ I loved loved loved the pix of your work yesterday...I would kill for a day like that. Makes me want to lay on the couch w/ blankets and watch movies. I looked at that for a while, loved it. And yes, I am waiting for the bean recipe too! Judy~ I too LOL when I read you closet comment. I promise to take pix of the closet, and then me coming out of it for giggles. I know you all love this liberal lesbian from California...and I love you all too! I AM SENDING YOU LOTS OF MONEY ENERGY TODAY...SELL SELL SELL...GOOD LUCK! Tracy~ Your kicking ass girl. :clap2: I am very impressed and looking forward to when I break the 23 pound loss. I will update the ticker then. You, and so many other violets are doing great! Keep it up! Kat~ Have a great weekend! Sounds like fun! TracyK~ I really hope you enjoy your "momma" weekend...do something indulgent and a little naughty! We want all the details! Today is do nothing day! Sadly, we have to go to HOme Depot to pick exterior lights and a color for the master. Yes, yesterday, we decided to remove acoustic AND paint the master...I can't believe it. My feet and legs hurt so bad today from all the work this week. Susanne fingers actually hurt. It is also "take your girlfriend to the movies day!" but she isnt buying it. Her mom will be here tomorrow early, then out to breakfast! That will be fun! Ok...I am moving myself to soft foods today. The doctor told me to go on liquids for a week last time. So Wednesday, when he started to say go on liquids, I interrupted him and didn't let him finish the comment. I think I will do liquids and soft foods for a week...I just can't live on liquids, especially w/ all the work we are doing. So cottage cheese and scrambled eggs here I come...oh yeah, and refried beans. Jennifer~ Have fun at your picnic tomorrow. Tell Hillary hi! (I think she is brillant). Have a great Friday ladies. Send $$$$$$$$$$$ thoughts to Judy! And for those of you suffering w/ this:rain::rain:...remember how badly the Earth needs it! (Sorry, just wanted to use that icon).
  22. Lmao...hahahahahahahahahaha
  23. damn long pinky nail... if I need to "run" out, she will cover me. As for the restroom, I try to drink as much as possible 45 min before a break or "potty time". Then I mad dash to the bathroom...it is hard, but you'll get used to it. Good luck and enjoy the rest of your summer!
  24. I am a banded middle school teacher. I would plan on eating in your room and grading papers or relaxing until you get used to it. I've never PB'd yet, but I am very careful at work. Also, I have my neighbor, and I've alerted her in the event I need to
  25. HAHAHAHA...I love this...Joe is evicted and ED gets HOH...ooooo my. I heard last night that Amber is detoxing from Meth...and has been sober 12 weeks. I was wondering why she was soooo sad and weapy. I wish her well, but she needs to dry it up a bit! Just wanted to post that one...
