Hey gang~ I am writing ch. 5 now (can't freakin believe it) but wanted to pop in for a min. Tracy, I did get your card today! Sooo funny...I loved reading all 99 things, esp. about choc! Sus got hired on as a sub for the school district. We are SOOOO excited...just to get her foot in the damn door took 3 months! She interviewed on Tuesday and expected to hopefully get called after the holidays...but got called back today by HR! Even if it is just a sub position...she will learn the ropes, meet many (all) principals and get to know all sites. Once she gets all her "ducks in a row" she should be good to start mid Jan! YEAH!!! OK...back to writing. Waiting for Sus and the in laws to return from San Diego...then we will go celebrate! xoxoxoxo

Purple Power for DM Tracy...what is her name? We did not work out this morning...planned on taking Thursday and Sunday off this week. 2 funny things to report from yesterday's Social Studies lesson: We were talking about Isreal and Jewish people and a variety of religions. Someone brought up heaven and hell. And one of my kids calmly says, "yeah, heaven...some people call that Canada!" Then later we were talking about Christmas and how the root word of Christmas is Christ...and how Jewish people don't celebrate Christmas because they don't believe in Christ. I said, "so they don't celebrate Christmas, they celebrate..." and one student yells out "JEWMAS!" LOL... These are pretty funny people in here. They make me laugh, and make me cry (you should read some of the letters they wrote me about my dad). I am VERY BLESSED to have such a great group of kids this year!

Hey Girlies~ Busy Busy... Went to the buffet last night...ate 3 tacos!!! :tt1: Uh, need a fill I guess. MIL is in town until Sun or Mon...give me strength. Having "cheese noodles" tonight...lol, had a little heart attack just typing it! But it is sooo good. Was at the gym again this am. Was a bit cold, 47 outside, and I am in shorts and a tank top! But I did it. Gotta run...gotta pee...I drank a bottle of water at the gym and I get to pee now or at 9:30...so I'll go now! BBL

Kat, I put on 50 pounds on prednesone. I was on it for years for hives...on and off...but i could eat a cow when I was on. Also, be careful of the sun.

Buenos Dias~ We were up at 4:30...in the car at 4:50 and home from the gym at 6am! Had a great workout...but now I am rushed this am! Still undefeated...game was great yesterday. They are such poor sports, haha...made the victory of 8-4 all the sweeter...they wanted it bad! Have a great day! I am feeling beautiful, strong and sexy...and I love it!

Hey girls~ Kat~ Yes the face swelling is VERY PREDNISONE RELATED. It is an actual condition/side effect of the med, call Moon Face. I took it for years w/ hives, mom took it as part of Cancer tx, friend took it for his heart transplant. All of us had Moon Face! It goes when the med does! We have had a busy morning. Here is the run down: Gym (hour workout), put up the tree and decorations, got all cards done and in the mail, cleaned house (Susanne more than me), worked on diss, replanted plant, took friend downtown, recycled our water bottles (that place stinks),checked mail, had breakfast/lunch (fish tacos). Been running literally, since 6:30am! Now, a 30 min lay down, shower, then downtown to meet w/ friends (2 lesbian couples) for the Christmas Parade, dinner and drinks! I am tired just typing this! Have a great night! xoxoxo

Quick check in~ It is nice to be back. I had kids RUNNING up to me for some hugs!!! We are talking middle school kids. I feel stronger here...returning to "normal". Hiya Gang! Going back to work tomorrow:eek:. Finished ALL chap 4 edits and it doubled the original chap 4 (now it is 53 pages...one chapter!) Soooo now I wait and start to look at other chap 5's. Goal (key word is goal, not necessarily reality) is to have most actual writing of chap 5 done before break, so I can write and work on edits over break! Got hair cut today...had a major melt down. I need ice cream and a nap...oh yeah, and some I Love Lucy. Can you say depression/grief? Love you guys, Pamela
