OK...we had a nice turn out for the surprise...and boy was it ever! They loved it and cried! It was really nice. We had breaky, then BOSTON CREAM PIE at 9am...how evil is that??? OH well...it will ALL BE OVER SOON ENOUGH. I am not letting Susanne wash my jeans until mid Jan. LOL, they will be able to walk out of here by then, but they fit good now...after a wash...well, not so much! It is supposed to rain here today. The guy is supposed to fix the electric mother board thing too, but i am not sure if that will happen in the rain. We are gonna be w/o electricity for 45 min...so I've got to pop over and post grades quick! Love you...I love the hustle and bustle of this time of year. Oh yea, my damn back flaired up this morning...sooooo...I am sitting on ice!

Morning~ 7am...up, showered, "do" done, dressed and waiting to leave at 7:30. I planned to take our friends, Tracy and Matt (gay couple) and Roxy their daughter out to breakfast because they are moving next week to NY. Well, then I decided to invite others as a surprise breakfast for them. LOL, I have no idea how many are coming to breakfast. Could be 12 to 25??? Oh well...trying not to worry or take responsibility. LOL Then doc appt...then step mom gets here around 2! Have a great day! xooxoxoxox

Back from the game...the team is STILL UNDEFEATED!!! It was 9-8...pretty close tonight...and they played that same mean ass team. They play them 1 more time this season. Her coach and his partner (the partner Greg is the doctor who sponsors the whole team) got the whole team a RoadRunner beanie, wrapped up as gifts! They gave me one too, said, "To Pamela...Roadrunners #1 fan!" I love it! I don't know what happened this afternoon, but my cloudy head kinda lightened up...that doesn't sound right...became a little less foggy. I am crossing my fingers that I am "on the mend". I was depressed waking up this am feeling as shitty as Thursday. Cross your fingers for me. I actually was able to work on diss today, and I havent been able to do that all week. I had a friend (Rent-a-husband) come over and he is gonna give me a bid for 4 jobs around the house. 1. Remove empty swamp cooler box, drywall hole 2. Add window gutters so when it rains the water is diverted 3. Fixing big hole Klaus digs under the house and 4. Fixing leaky patio on roof! So, we will get a bid later on cost and materials. Susanne's game is tonight. I will probably go and sit in car. It is at 5:30...gonna be freezing, but it is against the bitches Hard Liquors! Wish her luck!

Morning Ladies~ I am tired of this head cold. Wouldn't mind the snorting, blowing etc if my head didn't feel like it was 50 pounds! I just woke up after 10 hours of sleep, and I am ready for a nap! I took a hot shower, and am still drinking coffee...but thinking about laying down. We had a problem yesterday w/ one of our breakers that kept tripping. We called an electrician, and on Tuesday (or today if he can come by) we will get a new "mother board" and something w/ a surge protector...TO THE TUNE OF $1800.00! But, the house is old...and it needs to be updated desparately! Just a bad time of year...and a bad time of month! Oh well... Have a great day! xooxoxoxox

I am sick...feel like shit...but I love you all too!

Oh My girlies~ This last page of posts were hysterical! Really...you all crack me up! I love the poop tart and the carbs on the toenails...and the drunk chicklets! See, better than the Ya Ya's and we can kick their asses! We had the funnest night tonight. We went to Beth's house w/ her hubby and twin 7 year olds (remember they were robbed earlier this year) and Cathy, Mike and their daughter. Only "grab foods", chips, salami, crackers, some veggies, fruit salad, cookies, candy, meatballs, yummies! We ate, only the hostest had wine, the rest of us had diet cokes, etc. We sat and talked...sang kareoke (sp). I've never done it and had a blast!!! couldn't pry the mic out of my hand. I loved it! It was some "game" thing...ran it through their TV!!! OMG...we had a blast! It is 12:37 here...should sleep now. My head is pounding, my throat is soooo raw...I sang everything...and am gonna be voiceless tomorrow (lucky susanne)! xooxoxxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

OMG 28 min to go...I am stuffed up and dying! I can't stand my nose...it is burning w/ each breath! OK 27 min to go. Then two glorious weeks off! I am glad Jane checked in. This totally sucks not knowing. MY next door neighbor had a stroke yesterday. He is 46 (on Xmas eve), eats very healthy and exercises ALL THE TIME. I've known him for 28 years, actually he went out w/ my mom for 6 years! I feel bad for him. Going to feed his dog after school. He lives alone and that is scary...to be alone. OK 25 min...I may be back...typing on LBT makes the time fly by! See only 24 min to go!

It is donut day and the kids are gonna be crazy (the donuts are for them...hey, remember when we used to spell donut as "doughnut", hhmmm) Anywho...Ms. K has the Classic Christmas movies (Rudolph, Santa...all the ones we watched when we were kids) in my purse...and i am in complete survival countdown mode! Susie, the Violets are beautiful! What a talent! How totally lucky you got some Violet face time w/ each other...I could use a dose of Violets now too. Remember that cold I woke up w/ Sat? It was gone (ish) by Sunday, but I've kinda dragged through the week. Well, it is back! I feel icky and achy...and wanna go home. My dumb cell phones SIM card got deactivated by the AT&T lady when I called in cause I was having trouble. NOW I have to go downtown after school and fix that as well. We are rescheduling the movie AGAIN because of the weather yesterday, our friends had to be gone today. This is fine w/ me, I need to work and rest!

Terry~ that reminded me of the I Love Lucy episode where they put the tape down the center of the apt and one side was his w/ banana peels etc on the floor and her side was perfectly clean. I could go for a dose of ILL now!

As far as the "helping around the house" thang goes...well I am like the dh's in the bunch. I will either pay SOMEONE ELSE to do it, or it doesn't need to be done. Susanne does EVERYTHING...plus all laundry and ironing. I figure I have 2 jobs and would be happy to pay someone to do what needs to be done. My maid (which we are not using now) even ironed for me! It cost 2 bucks a shirt but hell...was WAY worth it to me. The only thing I do is cook. She has made 2 dishes (German) since we've been together. Last night I made chix, zuccini, sal for me and mashed pots for her! It was yummy. Then she did dishes, I dried and put away...then sat on the couch and worked on Walden as she wipped down the stove and counters! I try to put things away...but she is constantly telling me where I fail in that area. LOL, oh well! You still gotta love me!

Morning V's~ Yeah Terry, I think we are going to wait a bit. Even 6 months, and have our $$ make more money for us too. Home sales are up 117% in the desert. We looked at a 5 (possibly 6...albeit small) bedroom house yesterday for 209! Would probably take a lower price too! Just for rental possibilities alone...but for now...we will continue to watch things fall, and let our $ get bigger! God...I am ready for my vacay! SOOOOO tired and want to stay home today. best thing about today is that it is COWBOY HAT DAY for spirit week...so...I am looking forward to that! Got my new phone yesterday...need a class just to figure it out. Hate that too, cause being type A...I need to know how to use my damn phone. LOL...I need a teenager huh? Think we are FINALLY going to the movies tonight. If our friends can still make it, if not, then we will wait. We really want to see MILK w/ Sean Penn. Have a great day! xoxoxoxoxo

TracyK~ LMAO...yeah, I didn't see that one coming! HAHA. We ate some brisket (so I am told) the first night. The funny thing was I think it was 1 brisket dinner and a few sides fed 9 Violets (Judy was still in transit). Yep! One Texas size dinner fed 9 Violets. Not sure if it could work again...we were tanked! I remember Terry coming in w/ the meat in a box...and me amazed that I'd never had any! Got my new phone today!!! WOOHOO! Can't figure this damn thing out!

LOL...Michelle, that line is priceless. But you know, the low carb thing...uh, duh! Right. I mean, we all could have figured out the low carb thing w/o surgery or the band. Let me guess...missy is skinny too! I think it is not a good idea to cut out fiber and whole grains. Good carbs serve a very important role in brain functions as well as bowel functions. We know "what" to do..."when" to do it...There was some research published this week about carbs and memory and the importance in fighting alzhiemers and dementia. So...You and your 7 lb gain are fabulous. Jan is around the corner! xooxoxxo

Is brisket that YUMMY meat we had in Texas??? I was a bit drunk (haha...a bit, lol) but I remember some yummy meat that I had never had before!

Janie, no, I am more like 5-10 pages away from finishing the entire thing!!! I plan to have ALL of chapter 5 (there are only 5 chapters) written by Friday! Then I will have MAJOR edits to do over the next 6 weeks...but the hard part is creating the chapter, not editting it! I have 138 pages done w/ just ch. 1-4!!! Ch. 5 will be about 20-25ish. woohoo! Wish I were home now, in pj's and writing! but a girl has got to "pay the bills"!

Oh Yeah...I waited for the end of Survivor and made it to the final jury thingy. Had to google the winner on Mon. I wanted Sugar...but love that Bob won. Hated Cornie too!
