Thank you all so much. Ths really helps. I am looking forward to my nutrition class may 13th and my visit with my surgeon. I didnt know that I couldnt swallow anything big ever again. Thats interesting to know. I really appreciate the feedback.

I think it's misleading to hear you're never going to swallow anything big again. Obviously we aren't going to eat huge portions of food anymore (I freak at some of the stuff I used to eat!!) and we wouldn't cram anything bigger than a bite in our mouths anyway.

They won't leave you in the dark. Hang in there!

My surgeon told me as long as I could choke the down, I could take whatever. I'm on xanax and celexa. They were fine!

I would say you need to talk to your surgeon.

Every one of them has a different set of guidelines. Mine are totally different from the above poster.

I did something similar a couple of weekends ago at my MILs. She made dinner and we were all sitting at the table. She forgot something in the other room and walked behind me. Having ALWAYS been in the way, I ask "do you need for me to move up so you can get by?" She said "My butt ain't that big!"

I just blinked. I didn't understand. Then I realized I'd been so big for so long I just assumed I was still taking up a lot of space. It had nothing to do with her -- She had pleeeenty of room to scoot by.

ugh. FLS indeed.

My husband had his done on May4th. He stayed 2 nights also. He also had a hernia fixed and was sore. He is already down over 30lbs. I am so proud of him. I go in on June 10th if all goes right with insurance. I am waiting on final approval! Praying they do not let me down again. They denied me back in Jan.

Congrats on the hubs' loss! Good luck with yours. Macik and the hospital were just great to me.

2 week check up was great! down 16 pounds. Bought a pair of xl pants (work out capris) and they fit.

Can't complain!

I'm 2 weeks out as of yesterday. I 'm currently blaming PMS, but I haven't lost anything in days. Woe, I know. I'm trying to ignore it as much as possible.

Publix has it too! I can't wait to try it.

I had surgery on the 18th, and when I got home, I went into PMS. (my cycle starts tomorrow.) It wasn't any different. I just felt my usual mopey self. Not really upset, cranky or blue just... mopey.

I had the most lovely burger yesterday. Sauteed in Worcestershire sauce, topped with provolone cheese...

Couldn't eat even half.

All done!

I just wanna eeeeeat it! lol

Updating this one - I had surgery with Dr. Macik on the 18th of May.

I stayed two nights because of nausea ( my stomach didn't like the liquid percocet) but through the whole thing, he was great.

Going to see him for my 2 week check up tomorrow.

Well, I guess it is working, somewhat - I've lost about 8 pounds so far. Was hoping to hit 10 before I got my 2 week check up (Wednesday) but... we'll see.
