Went to the surgeon yesterday. Got my surgery date, October 18th...WOO HOO. Man, this summer flew. I start my pre-op liquid diet on October 4th. SO excited!

Found out today that Aetna approved my claim. Holy crap! Tomorrow I meet with the anesthisiologist (I have no interest in meeting him/her, so long as they make sure I wake up after surgery). Then I have my pre-op surgeon appointment on Wed. 9/21. SO excited and SO ready!

Hey there! From what I gathered from my paperwork from Aetna, it's a three month wait. I went to the informational seminar on 5/29/11. Then I had my first appointment (which sets all the other appointments in motion) on 6/9/11. So, I suppose "technically" 9/9/11 will be my three months.

How about you, did you find out if you have a 3 or 6 month wait?

Ok, getting a little more info. Called my care coordinator at Bristol Hospital today. They're getting my pre-certification together to submit it tomorrow (8/19). From what she told me, very few people get denied these days. I just want a date! Something to put on my calendar (and to know when I need to take off from work).

Getting ants in my pants! All of my preliminaries are done (cardiac, sleep study, labs, etc.). Now I'm waiting for the claim to be approved by Aetna.
