Started back to Zumba yesterday. First time since I sprained my ankle. I had forgotten all the moves, so I concentrated on four things: Keep the feet moving, Keep my arms moving, try to swivel my hips, and DON'T TRIP THE PERSON ON EITHER SIDE OF ME. I lived through the class. Zumba is a lot of fun.

Irene - how interesting that your frame measured what it did. It goes to show you can't predict bone structure based on how tiny a person looks. I would never have guessed what your bone structure turned out to be any more than I would have guessed what mine turned out to be. Interesting the variety in this world!

Here are two links that refer to the information I shared on setting a goal weight. Both of them use the data from the 1983 Metropolitan Life Insurance Tables:

You are looking wonderful! Thanks for everything you do on this forum to help us...

I have now passed the "100 pound lost" point, measured from my top weight. Last year in September, I took a trip with my Mom and 2 sisters. Climbed a steep hill and thought I was going to have a heart attack. Got serious about the pre-surgery diet after that! 91 Pounds lost since first surgery appt, 101 since top weight!

Blood work - continued. My Blood Sugar, Calcium, Sodium and Potassium levels are right on normal. I am slightly low on red blood cells, my normal on iron. So LIFE IS GOOD!

Just got the results of my six months labs this morning. My BP is 120/70. That is on 1 small pill, split into halfs, morning and night. My cholesterol is 204 and my triglycerides are 190 on NO meds. The HDL is Normal (45) and the LDL is normal. I have to have labs again in 3 months to see if the numbers are still good. There is a congenital problem in my family with cholesterol - I may have to take meds even when I hit goal. My risk factor is 4.3 ( 3.5 is ideal, anything <5 is good). My ...

Today is my Six-month sleeve surgiversary. I have lost 83 pounds! This is 3 pounds less than the goal I set for myself (as part of the Labor Day challenge) - but I sprained an ankle badly two weeks ago and haven't been able to exercise. Once I get this dratted boot of my foot and ankle, I will get back to regular exercise and break of of this stall I am experiencing. Even with that annoyance - LIFE IS GOOD. I have dropped from a 24 Womens to a 14 Petite. I am enjoying shopping in regu...

I am also a patient of Dr. Nick's - and had my sleeve at Forest Park on 2/22 - 5 months next week. I love my sleeve! Dr. Nick and his staff ARE great. How are you doing so far?

I have set myself two short term goals - my six month goal on 8/22 and a Labor Day Goal. The 6 month goal is to weigh 167 on the doctor's scale - that is an 86 pound loss. The second one is to weigh 157 on the doctors scale by Labor Day - that is a 96 pound loss. And, I have moderated my ultimate goal weight. I want to weigh 125 on my home scale - which is around 135 dressed on my doctor's scale. This will be a nice size (I'm not sure what) and will be a NORMAL BMI.

I missed my 4th of July Goal by 8 pounds - I had my first stall. I am now starting to move down the scale a bit.

I had my surgery February 22, so I am 3 1/2 months out. I have lost 63 pounds and about the same number of inches as pounds. I have lost 7" from my bust and hips and 6" from my waist. I was wearing size 24 W - now i am wearing a size 16W. My BMI has dropped from 42 to 32. I have gotten off of most of my meds - still take one blood pressure med and estrogen (since I had a hysterectomy years ago) and all the recommended vitamins. My bloodwork at the 3 month mark was remarkably better th...

I am now four 1/2 weeks post-surgery. I have lost 31 pounds and am feeling good. I am eager to start exercising - all I have been doing so far is some light walking. When did others start exercising?
