Thanks for the help. I think you're absolutely right. I've really been babying it since Sunday and it seems to be settling down. I'll give it another few days. Can't go in for an unfill 'til next week anyway. I do appreciate the input! -

:angry I am some kind of hacked off!!! I had a LONG post and it disappeared!! Ok, so here's the short version 'cause I AIN'T retypying it: TracyKS - Ok. You're off the hook. BUT!!!...you could put some Motown on the stereo or something and dance with your son!! Get off your lazy A$$!!! (Am I in trouble now?) Kat - careful what you wish for Judy - no doubt you'll be wearing a tank top! You'll probably drag all the choir ladies to Victoria's Secret too...for matching leopard push-up bras for everyone....and throw in the thongs, too! (What a visual!) That would boost attendance at church! Nena!! We're so glad you're joining us. Fresh meat! :heh: Margi - your doctor is a jerk.:huytsao so there. My other post was far more entertaining, but you'll just have to take my word for it. Played racquetball again tonight. Damn, DH is a fast learner. :tired -

LOL :blah: :blah: Yeah, that's how I am too. I used to have about 3+ cups o' java in the morning, a Diet Coke at around 10:30, tea with lunch, Diet Coke in the afternoon, then maybe tea again at dinner. So that's 7-8 servings of caffeine/day. Now I'm down to 2-3 at the very most. I am NOT giving up my morning go-go juice and I am NOT giving up my Iced Tea....for goodness sake, I was raised on that since I was old enough to drink from a sippy cup! I have not had a sip of soda since before surgery and don't miss it at all. Alcohol....uh...ermmmm.... I drink that! -

Kat & Jenn - It's none of my business but I do hope that you'll think very, very carefully about liposuction for 2 reasons: 1) I know of someone who has been permanently disabled (lost her leg) because of having liposuction. Her intestine was punctured resulting in sepsis then gangrene. She almost died....now wishes she had. She's very depressed all the time. She was in and out of the hospital, mostly ICU, for the better part of a year. Liposuction is very dangerous...so much can go wrong. 2) It is quite possible that fat cell removal is not such a wonderful thing. When/if you store fat in the future, the fat cells that are remaining just get bigger. Point being is that if you are 'top heavy' but getting lipo on your tummy/hips...you'll just get top heavier. Please....just do ALL the research. Visit message boards for plastic surgery gone wrong...not just the ones supported by the surgeons. OK? I do believe this sets a record for Lunasa's shortest post!! Glad to see you, dear....and even happier to read that the scale is moving again for you!! Are you feeling all better now? How is the Cimbalta working for you? -
Day before yesterday I totally punished myself at the gym and my quads have been hurting SO bad that I can barely walk. It's ridiculous!! So I get up this morning and think: "If I could just have 2 Aleve I would feel sooooo much better!" I just had a fill, so I know it's not good to swallow the things whole and I'm determined to get that Aleve in me! So I think, "I'll just put it in a glass w/ some Water, let it dissolve then swallow it down!! I'm so freakin' brilliant!!" Even though the pills weren't totally dissolved yet, I took a tiny swig of the concoction (maybe 1/2 oz of a 1 oz cup). OH MY GOD!!! It burned like batter acid all the way down my throat and I IMMEDIATELY started sliming!! It came right back up. Now my esophagus is all irritated even though I drank and drank and drank after that episode. Thankfully, I didn't down all of that stuff with both pills fully dissolved!! I'd probably be in the hospital. I guess there's a reason they put an enteric coating on those little pills. What a dumba$$.

So why do you do it when you know you're not supposed to? I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but I just don't understand that.
-
Yes, dear....it's call BANDSTER HELL and you're in it. It's the time between surgery and your first fill when you have essentially no restriction. The swelling from surgery has now subsided and you're basically just flappin' in the wind!! Just hang on, try to make good food choices, practice your bandster rules and be kind to yourself. Restriction will come soon enough!

Here's my chart.... I'm apparently a 'slow loser'

TerriDoodle replied to peaches9's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yes, I can feel mine but can't see it. It kinda creeped me out at first, but not anymore. -
When does that show come on and what network?? I'd love to see it.

I had a pretty good NSV day today. I ran out to try on a few swimsuits at lunch (why eat?) and, as is my habit, went to the 'womens' department. The smallest suits they had were 16w's. I tried on 3 suits and 2 blouses. Everything was TOO BIG! No time to go to the ladies department, but woo freakin' hoo!!! Also, pants I bought a little 'snug' last week fit me beautifully today....Lauren's 14W. I found that my quad muscles are REALLY getting developed...I can really feel them under all this flab. I can't wait to lean out and have muscles there waitiing for me! Also...wasn't sore at all (well, maybe a little) from playing racquetball last night. DH was practically crippled!! Yay me! AND.....I bought some plain Tilapia filets at Sam's...just sauteed them in a pan, put a little lemon, butter, salt & pepper on them...then dusted with parmesan cheese and they were delicious!!! It also went down real easy so I had a good dinner and got my protein in for the day AND found more fish that I actually like. I am thrilled that I am now eating fish at least 5x a week. All in all....not a bad day even if the scale didn't move! -
Thank you for making me realize that what I am experiencing is NOT being too tight. It might be uncomfortable, but I can get fluids down!! Why in the world would you continue on this way??

TerriDoodle replied to TracyinKS's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Maybe.....maybe not! Everyone's different!! I had restriction like that for about 3 days then it went away. TracyK had less than 1cc for her first fill and is going back for a slight UNfill she was so tight. You never know 'til you get there! -
Yes, Josie -- He just got it, like in May. 2nd fill I got was under fluro. 3rd was not, but I don't know why.

This is what is disturbing to me: beef - no ground beef - sometimes filet mignon - sometimes white chicken - no dark chicken - sometimes pork - no bacon - no sausage - no tuna - sometimes other fish - yes shrimp - sometimes crab - no eggs - no toast - no pasta - no rice - no tortillas - sometimes crackers - sometimes cheese - yes, in very small bites fruits - yes, in tiny bites veggies - yes lettuce - yes peanut butter - yes Fish, fruit, veggies, cheese and peanut butter. Can I live on these?? Yes, I suppose I could do real well. It's just WAY different than I'm used to eating. <sigh> Another learning curve!
