Update on Husband Drama and lots more!!!

I am so sorry you have to go through this but I am so happy for you too!!! Seems like some husbands have gotten bit by the stupid bug. My hubby told me last night--you need to workout because the skin on your back is soft and you need to work out to firm it up. DUH.....I have been sideline the last couple of weeks because of my right shoulder and right leg pain. I haven't been able to get to the gym on the days I can because he has had the car. But its all good. I have already had a "come to Jesus" meeting with him concerning our marriage and where it should go from here. He still wants to be a "momma's boy" and can't decide if his mom or I am his wife. 8 years of this and I am tired. We argue all the time and relations is none existent. It doesn't work well when its only beneficial to one party and it lasts less that 2 minutes. Enough about me......congratulations on getting to onderland and shopping for regular sizes and not those with a W behind the number!

    October 22 Check-In

Hi everyone...sorry for posting so late. I am down to 205. I have been craving olives and gouda cheese like crazy. But since TOM has completed I don't want either as much as the week before and during cycle. I did loose 7 lbs--I think last week. Leg is really bothering me. I have one more month before my surgery. Hubby ticked me off said my skin is getting soft, I need to workout so it can be tighter. I almost slapped him. Its true I need to get in the gym with the weights but my right arm is killing me. I have to work it out some way. I'll go tomorrow since I will have access to the car. Have a greta week everyone.
  3. Wow!!!! Absolutely wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing! That gives me something to strive towards!
  4. When I got to my room - I took off the oxygen and had my nurse remove the catheter. You just take a deep breath land its gone--no pain. I hate the oxygen tubes in nose-I can't breathe right with that fresh air coming through my nose. LOL

    2 month surgiversary

I have made a few mistakes on this journey and gained weight but I have learned a lot about my habits. Some carbs do not agree with me at all. Last night I tried some tuna hubby brought in and had an adverse allergic reaction. Thank God I had liquid benadryl on hand. I turned the bottle up! :-) My friend is getting sleeved sometime next month and we have already taken advantage of the sale SW Airlines is having and got tickets for a girl's weekend in January. NSV - people at my job noticed last week that I have been losing weight. LOL Its funny because I didn't lose a pound last week as I pack on fluid for TOM. I realize I am a slow loser. I killed my metabolism with all the diets and starvation attempts to lose weight in the past. I almost tried every med or herbal remedy available. So today, I am 206.8. I am hoping to get to onederland by the end of the month. My Thanksgiving goal will be another 10 lbs. I have leg surgery on the 30th (to remove the titanium rod) and will be laid up for 3 weeks. I will check back in one month from now. Thanks everyone for your support and just listening to me talk/vent at times!!!

Congratulations on the weight loss! I live in Houston and I was out in those winds yesterday no youknow now you can be tossed around by the wind!!! :-) Taking your chair with you and not having it fall - priceless!

    Thanksgiving Challenge....

I am in! I am having surgery the week after to remove a rod in my leg and will be laid up for a few weeks. My best friend and I just got some flights to New Orleans from SW airlines they have a great sale but that is in January. I would like to be in onderland - 199.9 is good for me. So right now that's roughly 8lbs but I am a slow loser. 15 would be better but I can roll with 8.
  10. I like what everyone said about being a slow loser. For me, I can wear pretty much the same clothes. Bra size hadn’t changed yet. Almost 6 weeks into and people at work are starting to notice the weight loss. Go figure. Hubby is more frustrated than I am. It seemed the week of my cycle last month, I dropped the most.
  11. Freedom looks good on you! Keep up the good work. :-)
  12. I have always had a "rack" -- I have been getting fitted for my bras for the last 13-14 years at Top Drawer or Bra Specialist. No change in bra size for me since surgery. But last year when I went through my first major weight loss from 260-214 - I went from a 42G to a 38K. I wear goddess underwire bras--they keep the "sisters" up and not droopy. If I can't make it for some reason to the store, I order on Amazon--same style and size.

    Did you lose your curves??

I didn't like Isopure either. I would drink 2 oz and be about to puke. No, I ate the grits and red Beans during the soft stage which was about 3 weeks. It is not too much my sleeve doesn't like. :-) I still have problems with some textures like lightly grilled shrimp or handmand meatballs from Maggiano's and tastes (chili) but that's it. I am real sensitive to salt. Anything too salty turns me off. Hubby wanted to go to Red Lobster for the never ending shrimp on Sunday. I got the stuffed mushrooms but towards the end I couldn't chew or stomach anymore of the stuffing of the mushrooms and made him eat it.

    salads

I have tried a bite here and there from hubby's but not an entire salad yet. My doctor told me to wait a little while longer.

    Did you lose your curves??

Congratulations! I missed the whole mushie stage because I was sick all the time because of the motion sickness. I had broth, cream Soups and shakes and quickly got tired of smelling all of them. I also tried the Isopure that looks like a gatorade knock-off. :-) Cream of Wheat didn't set well with me. I was able to eat instant butter grits. YUM. I was able to get rotisserie chicken salad from HEB and chewed the mess out of it and avoided the celery. I thought I was in heaven! Another lady on another board suggested red Beans and rice with no rice from Popeye's. That worked for me too. Yes, you are supposed to be on the liquid diet for 2 weeks.

    Did you lose your curves??

Really it hasn't been bad at all. My major issue was motion sickness-but the patch they put on you in the hospital helped me so much! The only thing I have issues with is eggs-done any style, meatballs from Maggiano's, slightly grilled shrimp instead of really grilled and the grits from Alonti - all of that is because of texture. I missed the mushie stage because of the motion sickness-I didn't want much of anything until I got a refill on the Patches. Smile I am really happy with my sleeve. Remember it is a tool and for me, it is really effective. I can't even attempt to eat an entire Pasta mardi GRAS from Pappadeaux. I have a little-about an ounce of mostly the grilled shrimp and a piece of sausage and I am done. Or going to Pappasitos on Wednesday's for the half price fajitas--hubby loves it! I eat a piece of chicken and a smal piece of beef and maybe twobshrimp from the Tijuana and I am done for the night. Before we both ould have our own entree. It's a tool. Getting back into the gym was a challenge. I used to love the mat at 24 hour fitness. Now I can only get on it for 7-0 minutes and then go to the treadmill or elliptical because I am usually spent. I know I have to build up to it. Now since I am past my 6 weeks, I plan to incorporate weights gradually. I really didnt have much pain. My cycles are slowly being normalized. I used to go 23 days and now I am close to 28 days. So it's all good. I am back at work and will have surgery on my leg to remove a rod (another story) at the end of November.

    Sept 24th check in

Hey, doing pretty good. Finally started TOM and it came with a vengeance! I am down to 209 which gives me 39 more to my doctor's goal. I have been funny with food this week not sure if it's the hormones or what. Just things I have liked or tolerated by the second bite I was spitting it out. YUCK. Well sort of an early ONEderland present I was given a iPad2. Yep! Komen is this Saturday and I am really looking forward to it. I forgot to mention down 10.6 this week - wowsers!
  21. Doing good. Sleeved on th 23rd. I am a slow loser. No real problems with foods as long as I chew and watch my portions. I did have a have horrible motion sickness and an old leg injury was aggrivated--it seems better today so I am hoping to get to the gym tomorrow. I worked out twice last week. 1st time on AMT--I only could last 15 minutes before I got off and headed to the treadmill. :-)
