I have sushi all the time at work (at the airport). Sine the guy knows me I ask him to cut the pieces in half since I have to chew so well. I can still only have about half the roll but a love me my Philly roll.

As you lose fat the extra estrogen that was stored there gets released into your system making you a little crazy. Kinda like PMS when your not PMS
-ing. I already have my goal pants hanging in my closet. I'm no were near to goal but seeing them reminds me why I had this surgery. I. Determined to fit into them. With only 3 months post op vie already lost 60 pounds so I'm hoping by this time next year I'll fit I to them. Congrats on the wedding.

Sorry I had to put in my 2cents worth. I was becoming diabetic and had a blood sugar level of 173 before surgery. I'm only 3 months out now and my diabetes has completely disappeared. My blood sugar level is now normal at 90. I've lost 55 pounds in 11 weeks and have been more active than I can ever remember. I eat anything I want but now its in moderation. This sleeve is the best thing I've ever done not to mention the sex is sooooo much better. Every one has fears, the important thing is not to let it ruin your life.

I'm sorry you had such a bad first experience. I've been super lucky in that the only thing I can't eat is scrambled eggs. Ive had everything from chicken to steak with no problems and go out to restaurants all the time. My trick is to convience my husband that he wants what I really want to eat and have a few bites off his plate. Our bills are cut in half and I don't worry about the waiters strange looks when I say I don't want anything. As soon as I think I might have had enough I stop eating. I don't second guess myself and after a few minutes I usually start hiccuping which means I've had the perfect amount of food. Good luck as you move to solids and remember to take it slow

I pulled out an old box of clothes from five years ago and almost everything fit. I have two pairs of jeans that have not fit me in A very long time as well as dresses and skirts I used to love wearing all the time. I don't mind wearing this old stuff so I can save money when I get even smaller. I've gone from a size 26/28 down to a 20! I'm still not in the regular clothing stores yet but I'm well on my way. Yea sleeve. It's only been 11 weeks and I'm feeling fantastic. I can't believe some of the stuff I tried on that fit thinking these don't fit there too small and they did. Everything but a size 16 skirt fit and the stuff I wore for my wedding is too big.

Weekends are great for me. I'd love to meet others in the area. Arlington is fine for me.

Thanks everyone. I even purchased a used elliptical machine and started working out. Lol I could have never done that before.

Just wanted to share the amazing news. 50 pounds lost forever! Whoo hoo! It would have happened a few days sooner but TOM came by and delayed the celebration. I love my sleeve.

I found a great sping dress at lane Bryant the other day. good luck. I would shop online for a wrap dress, that way it's adjustable as u lose weight.

I would suggest watching the amount of sodium you consume and it holds Water in your body. It's easy to go up/ down 2 pounds on just water weight.

Congrats. I can only hope in the future I can be as lucky as you.

I had mine on the 2 week stall rather than 3rd week. Didn't loose a thing. I have to keep a close watch on my carbs and make sure it doesn't go over 30-40 grams and I will continue to lose. Over than and I stay the same or gain some. Good luck to you.

Hi all. I'm in Chantilly VA and had my sleeve done 2/7/11 in Costa Rica with Dr. Quesada. I've had no problems what so ever and have lost 40 pounds so far. I love seeing others in the area are going through the same thing I have. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer to the best of my abilities.

I hate to say this but when I was having my TOM. I had 1 of those gherridelli squares for 2 days. I just had to have something. Before I could go through a whole bag in one sitting. Now I've had a bag in my house for over a week and actually forgot it was there until I opened the cabinet. I still haven't had any. I'm waiting for next month. Lol. As far as husbands go, mine has been supper supportive and has started eating better. While ive lost 40 lbs he's lost 15. He doing great.

While at dinner with friends one mentioned that I'm no longer over the table and actually have a few inches between my stomach and the table now. I didn't even notice till he said something. (he also mentioned my breast look bigger lol)

I had hunger the first few weeks and folks kept telling me it was in my head but I knew it wasn't. Good news it won't last long. The first few weeks are the hardest. I was told to drink 1 oz evey 20 min but I did not do Proteins until 1 week later. Welcome to the loser bench.

That is way over my carb allowance. Lol

Wow. I work with over 100 people at a major airport and never kept it a secret. It's only been 5 weeks and I've lost 35 lbs so far. Everyone says they can see a big difference in my face as I lost my double chin and they make fun of me that I I have to have my uniform taken in since they're baggy. There will always be people who are negative but those are the easiest ones to ignore. If I get asked why I choose wls I tell them the truth, I was becoming diabetic, my knees were killing me, and my blood sugar was so high I could have had a heart attack at any moment. We also have lots of bake sales to raise money for our holiday party and I get offered tons of naughty food which I politely decline or I'm told you can't eat this don't even think about it. Lol. I don't get along with all my co workers however I thankfully have never heard a negative word. Good luck with yours.
Do you still enjoy food?

I have to say I still love cooking and eating. While out with my husband we share everything. If he wants an appetizer I limit myself to about 2 bites then we share a meal. We normally ask that they bring the food out slow so we can actually savor our meals and not rush through it. I'm lucky because everything taste the same to me as before. Out bills have also been cut by more than half so the surgery is paying for it self since I was a self pay. ( I'm only three months out btw)
