I agree with Jackie! I'm 10 days post op & still need help b/c I still have stitches & it hurts to do certain things..

Ok so I'm 11 days post op & I've been going through pure hell!! Well one of my incisions got infected after surgery & I was hospitalized for pneumonia & some other stuff after surgery & the dr put me on antibiotics..well I'm done with them but my incision is still oozing yellow greenish pus & blood..really slimey...I can see my open skin..I take out the rest of the stitches tomorrow..what should I do about this one???

I'm 10 days post op & still have nausea..Zofran really helps..Phenergan just put me to sleep..

Thanks Firefly! I'm just really disguted with all of this crap! I'm at a point where I wish I didn't have the surgery. I feel overwhelmed...

I am 9 days post op & I'm extra bloated too!! I am now taking Zofran..I went to the dr today..hopefully it goes away..I'm barely getting anything down because of the nausea. God I'm having it so rough!!

Ughhh I'm so nauseated that even when I sip water I get sick to my stomach. I've been taking Phenergan but it doesn't help...any suggestions???!!!

Wow! I have the same question and I'm one week post op also!!

Oh & let me add this I flew back home Saturday & was put in the hospital on July 4 & got out yesterday and I have pneumonia & blood clots but do u think I'm blaming Dr Almanza?? Hell No I'm not because I know with any major surgery there are risks involved!!!

I had surgery 8 days ago and Dr Almanza & his staff was by far Excellent in my book!! Servano took excellent care of me at the guest house and was prompt with everything...it's not about price because I didn't pay $8,000 & I received top of the line care so for people to get on here and try to downplay a dr is straight bull****!! Just to let everyone know DEATHS can happen with any surgery and any surgeon it's just that persons time to go..this post is somewhat shocking!!

No no guidelines & I have no nutritionist...I went to Mexico...

8 days post op and I'm on mushy foods but have no clue what to eat besides mashed potatoes...any ideas??

@YB things are pretty rough but I know I'll pull through. I've been hit with a big stick of bad luck!! I really appreciate everyone's concern & care for me! Keep sending prayers up for me!! :-))

Thanks to EVERYONE for the kind words of encouragement & inspiration!! I have pulmonary embolism and I'm currently on blood thinners to get rid of the clots..I'm very dehydrated but hopefully the iv fluids will help me with that. The way that I'm feeling I know it can't be worst so it's only uphill from here...thanks you guys!!!

Yes I'm getting treated for it and they just told me I have pneumonia too...Ughhh!!!!!!!

Well I've been having a rough time, I'm dehydrated & one of my stitches is infected, running fever & possible pulmonary embolism...WTF have I gotten myself into??!! I'm very weak & wondering if I'm the only one that's dealing with this?? OMG!!!

It's red, swollen, feverish & pulling very tight...no leakage but wayyyy bigger than the day I came outta surgery...it's like a big circle around it...
