I used to love Hip Hop, until it became all about bragging about money, watches and cars. Again...just like in the rave scene, the real **** is in the underground. Money doesn't buy respect. Vision and integrity do.

I will always strive not to be abrasive, hurtful or spiteful, but I will promise to you that I will be opinionated, challenging and provoking.

I will be honest. I have no idea what I am doing right now. I mean I am making a conscious effort but what is forcing me to act out is a mixture of frustration of a situation and passion of what moves me. I can easily fall on my face on Saturday night, but I do know my intentions are pure and that will not stop me from continuing my efforts. I am in this for the long haul. Change doesn't come overnight.

I would prefer to be classic over trendy any day of the week. Trends come and go. The classics are built to last.

If I was concerned at all about popularity, I wouldn't be producing what I do

It is easy as a DJ to get a false sense of security and even feel you doing a great job if you are playing all the songs that you know people will go off to. Don’t get it twisted. You are playing to the lowest common denominator. You are setting yourself up to be safe and comfortable. Greatness never comes from being safe about things. Art is never safe.

It is easy to get comfortable. Easy to get complacent. Easy to not try harder. Easy to live with what is given to you. I no longer want the easy. I want to push. I want to push myself. I want to learn. I want to strive. I want live past what I thought were my limitations. I want to die with a **** eating grin on my face. And with that being said...I am off to the gym

Just finished a nice 3 mile hike in Eaton Canyon. Went up to the waterfalls and back.

Just got a new Blackberry at work. I already hate this phone. Seems like a giant step backwards in comparison to my iPhone.
