  1. My surgery is June 21st. Three weeks from today. I start my pre-op diet next Tuesday. That includes 3 Protein shakes per day and 2 - 300 calorie meals like lean cuisines, etc. I like the Atkins Ready to drink shakes best. So excited!
  2. Anyone else on for June 21st sleeve date?
  3. Anyone else on June 21st? It is the first day of summer and the first day of my new life!
  4. Great to know! Thank you!!
  5. Thank you Tiffykins! That is exactly what I hope for in my future. I want to have this surgery because I want to live like a normal, healthy person. I can count carbs in the beginning if I need to but want to be a diet free, healthy, balanced, small portion eater for the long term! Sounds like you have achieved this! You are my idol LOL
  6. I am having my surgery soon and wondering about long term eating after the surgery. I know that protein must come first for the rest of our lives but do you guys follow an Atkins like ultra low carb diet? I am hoping to be able to have a more balanced diet with no obvious high sugar and less processed foods. But what about soup or 1/2 sandwich at a panera for example when out with friends. What about oatmeal for breakfast even if it is just 1/4 cup with some turkey bacon? Thoughts from those who are living and losing after the sleeve would be appreciated!
  7. I have an Amazing show horse! I have been showing him in driving instead of riding because I have gained so much weight. My expensive show suit will not fit and I feel too heavy to be on his back very often but he can pull lots of weight in the cart with no problem. I want to show him under saddle again and not feel self conscious at the horse shows with all the pretty, thin riders. A 50 pound loss will make this possible for me! I can not wait. Some jaws are going to drop next year when we trot into the ring under saddle again!
  8. June21st for me. One month from today!!!!!
  9. Jewels of June! I like that!
  10. When my surgery was rescheduled from April 19th to June 21st (due to anemia) I thought I would absolutely never make it that long but now it is only 4 1/2 weeks away. So ready to get started on the new me. Maybe June is a good time to be sleeved. We can sit out in the sun while we recover and go for walks outside. Can you imagine how great we will look by Christmas/New Years!!!?? We should be seeing such major changes by then. I bet 2012 will be our best year ever! I am expecting good things for all of us June people!
  11. Dear fellow June Sleevers, It is Already May 12th. June will be here before we know it! How are you guys doing? What;s on your mind while we wait for our much wanted sleeve?
  12. What temp do you bake the cheese at?
  13. My mini goal is to get my iron levels up enough so they do not cancel my next surgery date of June 21st!! Taking my iron pills, eating meat, being treated by the gynocologist to try to reduce the bleeding!
  14. Well Darn it ! I just had Mirena put in last week to try to slow down my bleeding. My periods are so heavy that I have been extremely anemic. So anemic that my April 19th VSG was postponed until June 21st to try to get the anemia under control. Hope I have not made a mistake!
  15. You look AWESOME! Can't wait to get to that point. You must be so proud!
  16. Thank all of you so much for the support! My brain knows it is best that it was postponed but my heart begs to differ! I am sure it will all turn out for the best. I am obviously in good hands with the surgeon I have who is watching out for my best health!
  17. When I went in form my pre-surgery testing they found that I am very anemic so we have to get that all under control first.
  18. Thanks Mina! I will discuss that with my Doctor.
  19. June 21st for me! I am trying to be happy about that but my surgery was originally scheduled for tomorrow so 9 weeks seems SO FAR AWAY! Anyway- Need to let it go and embrace June with you girls!!
  20. So tomorrow was supposed to be my surgery date. I keep trying not to think about it and to let it go but it keeps haunting me. I guess I should be glad that at least I was rescheduled for 9 weeks from tomorrow but I am not very patient and it is killing me. Please say prayers for me to be more patient!
  21. Good luck tomorrow! Let us know how it goes!
  22. WOW! Do we get drugs that good here in the states? Did you guys in the states feel you were given enough to be comfortable? I would rather try to sleep thru the first few days except when I have to walk if at all possible!
  23. LOL! I was just thinking I was a dork for tearing up but I did too! Love to hear the empowerment! Can't wait till I feel that way too!
  24. Thank you guys for all your support on this roller coaster!
