Watermelon
I always have avoided those seeds...yuck! I think I will have some tonight and dip it in Greek yogurt for protein!

Watermelon
I am 3 1/2 weeks out from surgery. My instructions from Doc says soft fruits no skin permitted. You suppose that includes watermelon? I think I saw that people tend to have problems with it but I could not find it on here when I did a search. BTW- I bought seedless watermelon if that makes a difference.

Will I ever be able to drink large quantities of water without stopping?
I am 3 weeks out and have no problem getting 20 oz or so down in 1/2 hour or so. I am not gulping but not sipping either!

Full Signal
I am getting all my Water in. Do eat slow though. I try to take 30 minutes per meal per my surgeons recommendation. Maybe I am just weird! Hope your headaches aren't too bad Butterfly!

My body is saying REALLY???
Ha ha! Funny people think riding a horse is just sitting there but it takes every muscle in your body if you are doing it right!! Can not wait to get back on my horse!

Full Signal
This may sound weird but I think my Full signal is a slight pain in my head. Could that be possible?? Anyone else experience this?? Toby

Am I eating enough?
Wow hard to imagine 3 -300 calorie meals per day right now but in the long run I think that sounds like a really healthy way to live long term! 3 Pounds per week is a great average! Keep up the good work!

Am I eating enough?
Well maybe the metabolism does not shut down then. You seem to still be losing!

Am I eating enough?
Those guidelines sound good! According to them I am eating right in the middle of the range they suggest at about 500 calories each day! Great Job you are doing BTW!

Am I eating enough?
Kelly, I can not believe he said you were "eating too much"! Good for you for listening to your body and doing what works best for you! My Doc did not give any calorie recommendations. Just 60-80 grams Protein is all he advises.

Am I eating enough?
I am losing weight but I am only 3 weeks out. My concern is for ruining my metabolism in the long run if my body gets used to eating 500 calories each day and thinks it is in starvation mode. I think maybe when I hit the one month mark I will try to up to 600-700 calories if the sleeve will let me. Just still trying to figure it all out.

Am I eating enough?
I am going along fine and not hungry. I eat because I know I need the nourishment. I feel okay on what I am eating but I am afraid that my metabolism will be ruined if I do not eat a little more and then I will have to stay at this calorie level the rest of my life or gain weight? Here are yesterdays stats which is a typical day: Calories - 510 Protein - 65 Fat- 17 Carbs- 24 What do you guys think? Toby

Abdominal binder from hospital
I am still wearing it most of the day now. It feels good to my incisions but sometimes gets hot and itchy so I take a break for a couple of hours a day from it. Think I will need a smaller one soon! It must be stretched out plus I am shrinking!! I also wash it every other day so I do not think it will last forever. I might have to shop for a new one!

2 week Surgiversery
So I had my surgery 2 weeks ago today. I have lost 18 pounds since that day and 5 pounds on pre-op diet so a total of 23 pounds in the past 4 weeks! Overall I am very happy! I am a little moody and a little tired. The surgery pain is very light now and I have no problems drinking tons of water and seem to be able to swallow anything that I chew up good. I have not been nauseous one time. I can swallow small pills with out even noticing I had surgery. Nothing seems to really hang up on the way down. I am very tired of sweet protein shakes. Everything tastes VERY sweet to me. I always had a sweet tooth but I think that is over!! With the exception of a day or two out of the past 14 I really do not have desire to eat and usually have to just make myself do it to get the protein in. I would say overall so far so good!!

Abdominal binder from hospital
Just wondering how long you guys wore your abdominal binder after your surgery. My surgeon said 2 weeks but I will be 2 weeks out tomorrow and thinking about wearing it longer. Now I feel weird when it is not on!

Day 95: Possibly fat forever?
I had this surgery because I wanted to become a normal, naturally thin person who is not obsessed with food and counting points and carbs and calories. I have been tracking all my nuts religiously for the past 10 days since my surgery. I have decided that once I move to mushies I am not going to do this anymore. I am tired of obsessing and this tracking adds to it. I figure if I eat the protein first and make myself eat some protein about every 3 hours or so the weight will come off. If I have some room for carbs after the protein I will take a bite. It is good to hear that others are successful without all the tracking!! I have done that my whole adult life and I am over it! I believe now that my sleeve will get me there without obsessing! And.....if this does not work for me or I do not lose I can go back to tracking but I do not believe there is anyway to not lose with the sleeve if you listen to it !

10 Days Post Op
I am feeling better now than earlier today! I went to the Vitamin Shop and walked around and went to my Mom's house for a bit. I am sure that helped. It is very Hot here today too but I am gonna take a short walk when the sun goes down. Thanks for the support! It helps to know I am not alone in these feelings.

10 Days Post Op
Hi Guys! I am a positive person and all I have wanted for so long is to get my sleeve. Suddenly today I seem to be an emotional mess. I am sad that food is not part of my life today as everyone is having cook outs and I am still on full liquids. I am nip picking everything my daughter does. I am tired of being in the house but not really feeling up to doing a lot either. What in the world is wrong with me? It is like extreme PMS but it is not that time! Just frustrated today!

TOM during surgery???
I was on my period heavy during my surgery and the whole hospital stay. I found it to be very inconvenient and messy but it was not big deal as far as the surgery goes.

One week out and soooo hungry
Well...I had surgery on the 21st and I am hungry but not nearly like before surgery. Of course I am only drinking about 500 calories per day right now. I am hoping to feel the restriction when I move on to food. I could drink a lot and have no problem swallowing. So you are not alone. Hang in there!
