  1. Yes, it happened. I have lost seventy pounds since my surgery on April 25! I am so excited! I literally got off the scale and cried. I don't know why 70 is such a big thing, but I just now started noticing a change in my appearance. I didn't even realize how just HUGE I was, and now I look at myself and I feel so much happier about the way I look. I'm nowhere near done, but even if the weight loss stopped here, I'd be happy. Look at me! I haven't been this thin since I was a freshman in high school (now I'm a freshman in college)! I just can't contain my excitement! bananalama.gif

You can even see a part of my college suite in the background of my after picture! :) The first one is at my Dad's pub with, of course, my dad. I think I'm around the same size!

This is my my sophomore year of high school!

  2. Hi,

I don't frequent this site as often as I should, but just wanted to say that in the 10.5 months since LapBand surgery I have been able to lose 96 pounds. I am hoping to reach 100 pounds lost in the next 2-3 weeks...and before my 1 year LapBand surgery anniversary on November 3, 2011. Wish me luck!!

Congrats, I am in the same boat I am 11lb from the 100lb mark can't believe it so good luck

  3. Well today I went into my monthly check up with my doctor and he tells me congratulations I am no longer morbidly obese now I am just obese, now I know to some people they might think , eeeh ok but to me I was in complete shock so happy aside from that I went from 340lbs to 319lb in 6 weeks so excited. I turn 25 in oct 2nd and would love to be 308lb by my birthday That wold mark a 100lb lost. Do you think the goal is achievable hhhmmm, working out 4 days a week is so tiring you know

  4. hI I use phent. either every day or every other day, I don't have any issues I too used it before being lap banded so I know the side effects. Using the "pill" is my personal preference I paid out of pocket for my band so it's not that I don't have faith but I also need an extra "uumph" you know. I guess its like people who don't understand why people get the lap band I mean why not use "will power". but the pill is small enough I have no issues

  5. Surgery went great Thursday.....gas was awful Thursday and Friday...finally started coming out late last night THANK GOD! I am feeling much better today, just struggling with getting in my Protein shakes that I need bc I am not hungry at all. Dr. Aguila is awesome! I called yesterday bc I was still in a lot of pain bc the initial pain meds just weren't working well and he wanted me to come in just to make sure everything was ok. He is so caring...gotta love him! biggrin.gif
